This was a nice large house that was great our family and a neighbor family to use for our ski break weekend. It had a great downstairs for the kids to play (they loved the NBA game) and a nice upstairs for us to all hang and cook meals. We did have an issue with the heating not really keeping the house warm, especially the first night. The next day we communicated with the property manger and owners to find out that they had space heaters to use as well which did help get it warmer the next nights of our stay, just wish we would have known about them the first night. I also wasn’t to thrilled with the hot tub in a room downstairs. To be honest I almost didn’t rent the house because I was scared the children would ruin the walls playing in the hot tub indoors. The room was overpowered by the smell of strong chlorine and mildew from water in an in-closed room. We couldn’t get the sliding glass door to open to try to air it out so we just never used it, which was kind of a bummer, wish it was outside instead. Other than that the stay was great and we loved the location of the house to the ski resort and the stores/restaurants in the town. We would stay again.
We chose this property for a family vacation and all members enjoyed the house. It's much bigger than the pictures make it look! We had plenty of space, the kids especially loved the arcade and board games in the downstairs area, and we found everything we needed to cook meals in the kitchen and outside on the grill. It was great for us to have hiking trails right down the street and a hot tub to relax in after. We hope to come back next year!

This home has great space, is in a good location and has the potential to be amazing, however we were extremely disappointed with the property. Upon arriving we were anxious how the inside would look as the outside was not very appealing. Very tall weeds, trash and clothing in the front yard, a garage full of dirt and a dead rat. The house is very dusty and dirty. Especially the kitchen. The refrigerator smelled terrible and we would never turn on the kitchen ceiling fan because dirt would have flown everywhere. The stove was filthy and did not work the entire length of our stay (26 days). According to the gas person the reason the burner would not light was because of the "food/crud" on it. When the repair person came, it was not possible to get the parts needed during our stay. There was a second small kitchen downstairs, but it is unreasonable to think someone can rent a place for almost a month and carry hot food up and down the stairs. The kitchen is ill equipped and lacking basic necessities for an extended stay - pots, pans and kitchen utensils. It was hard to prepare meals with this situation. There is a great deal of repair needed. - dryer, ceiling fans, back door, front porch. Linens and comforters need to be replaced. If staying for a ski weekend this place may be fine, but definitely not for an extended stay. The host was responsive to our texts, however, unwillingly to adjust fees for lack of oven and other issues and said we were being “dramatic.”
We has a group of 7 family members and the house was accommodating to our larger group. The house was close to the slopes so not much of a commute. The hot tub was a real treat. The living room fireplace was a nice addition of heat. Large main bedroom and bath. Beds were comfortable. Our stay was a time to remember and we would love to do it again. Thanks!
We are a family of 5 and loved the house. The upstairs consists of the Master bedroom and another bedroom. We considered this the "adult" portion of the home.
The second story consists of a living area with a TV, a kitchenette, hot tub, room with bunk beds and another room with a queen size bed. This was more of the "teen/kids" area.
There was plenty of restrooms, outside area, and space for everyone to enjoy.
A short 5 minute drive to the slopes. Very conveniently located.
I would definitely recommend.
House fit our needs perfectly - three couples - one teen! Great space for all - games, puzzles, meals! House is convenient for all area activities, groceries close - as well as super coffee spot! Hot tub hit the spot. We will return to this spot next year- if possible!
Perfect for 2 families with separate upstairs and downstairs living areas. Owner was very quick to responding. The only things we’d like to see would be a grill and outdoor furniture, but this is a new house for the owners and they said the house is still a work in progress.
This house was very nice for a multigenerational get-away. There were great bedroom options for different situations. If you needed to walk to a grocery store or coffee shop, you could. We walked on the "deer" trail and ran across deer and even a female elk. The only thing that was different than I expected was the lack of a yard.

Hi everyone! We are the Lares Family from Central Texas and we fell in love with Angel Fire after a spring break ski trip. We hope to spend as much time here as we can.
Why they chose this property
We loved the mix of mountain cabin and southwest style this home provides! We also really like having two levels so multiple families and groups can spend time together without being crowded. You can see wildlife from the porch or be at the ski resort in 5 minutes. We hope you love our cabin as much as we do!
What makes this property unique
4 minute drive to Angel Fire Resort! Also walking distance to grocery shopping, local restaurants and trailhead. Our home is in the central part of town so need to drive up icy, winding roads in the winter.
