Pacific Retreat comfortably sleeps up to six guests- Tofino bylaw will only allow 6 guest including children and babies

Christmas Booking

We loved the house and the facilities. They were all at a very high standard. The host was very helpful by checking in to see if we had arrived and also the following day to see if we needed anything. They were always on hand to communicate with us and because of the time of year provided us with times where they were not available and left us with an emergency contact number. There was an impending storm and they sent us information on how to prepare ourselves for it. There were also emergency supplies provided just in case the power went out. It was our second stay at this beautiful property and would recommend it to anyone who is considering making a booking. Go for it, you will not be disappointed!

60th Birthday Trip

A lovely property with an outstanding view of the ocean. Close to town and a beach. The property managers were extremely prompt with responding to our request for additional firewood and they responded quickly to any questions. Very comfortable beds with a beautiful view of starry skies in the upstairs bedrooms. Would love to visit again.

Amazing place!

This house is amazing and we loved our stay. The view is incredible and it is within walking distance to everything. The kitchen was also well stocked and the hot tub was very nice. We hope to come back and stay for longer.

Totally Awesome!!

We recently rented Pacific Retreat for the long weekend in May to celebrate our 50th Wedding Anniversary with our two daughters and their husbands. All of us were blown away with not only the view but also how spacious the house is! The bedroom pictures don’t do them justice as so much room and storage space available. All bathrooms have full counters with the sinks as well. Every conceivable kitchen tool (and BBQ) ready should one wish to cook! All new appliances etc etc etc. Our host contact (Jacqui) couldn’t do enough for us and responded quickly to all queries. The only thing we needed was extra coffee for the second/third days plus creamer (our preference). Can recommend this facility without hesitation. We certainly have a new favorite destination for future visits to Tofino!

Birthday getaway

Pacific Retreat is all about the Views - Amazing Stay

Stayed at Pacific Retreat for 5 nights this winter and wished we could have stayed longer it was that relaxing. Amazing views from almost every window, the deck and perhaps most importantly, the hot tub. We picked this property for the water view and the privacy and we were not disappointed. We had every kind of weather from wind/rain/fog/bright sun/snow during our stay and the house was gorgeous and comfortable through all of them. Light and airy with lots of room for everyone to relax and come together. Possibly the best stocked kitchen of a vacation rental we've stayed at - ample and thoughtful kitchen supplies, pillows, towels, blankets and and all of good quality. The furniture is pleasantly rustic and comfortable, perfect for a beach stay with or without kids. Service from the Tofino Vacation Rental team was top notch, very responsive to any questions and requests we had. Also loved the Salt Spring Soaps hand/body soap and shampoo/conditioner - spa quality and definitely added to the stay - an earlier review mentioned there was no soap/toiletries provided but that has since been rectified. The views and private location near Tonquin Beach and hiking trails and an easy walk into town can't be beat.

Couldn’t have been better!

We were blown away by this place. The views were spectacular, fantastic location close to town, and two bald eagles visiting every morning in the trees on the property. We will definitely be back!!!

Beautiful Place

We were showing off BC to our European friends and they were very impressed with this place, especially because of the view and the display that the orcas put on one night. The only negative is that there is no music. Lots of German CDs but nothing else. Perhaps music channels on the cable might be a nice addition?

Exceeded expectations

This was an excellent place to stay in Tofino. The house is very open and airy. You can't beat the location it as it is in walking distance to the town, yet the house itself is private and has these large windows looking out onto the water that hold your attention. Kitchen is large and very well equipped. It has an expansive deck with a hot tub. During our stay there was a rare Tofino snow storm. The power went out and the roads took time to clear. We were contacted by our host and they extended our check out time to allow for safe departure and were willing to support us staying another night if it wasn't safe to leave. Would definitely recommend!

Mom’s 80th Birthday

It was perfect. Beautifully situated for storm watching and eagle gazing. Lovely walk into town. And close to beach park. Exceptionally well equipped kitchen. We made shortbread and prime rib dinner with Yorkshire pudding. We’ll be back for sure. Bit tough to find in the dark. Just need to get there earlier to enjoy longer. Wish check out was a tad later

We loved the location and the property!

From the moment you walk into the property your mouth drops from the view. The bedrooms we large with comfy beds and lovely linens. The kitchen was well equipped with all the dishes you could possibly need but perhaps a better selection of baking pans could be useful. The deck was massive with a view of the sunset every night. The hot tub was a huge bonus which we loved. No beach access from the property but with so many amazing beaches in Tofino it didn’t matter to our family. Overall we loved this place and we will go back for sure!! I do want to point out a few deficiencies which would be why I didn’t give it a 5 overall rating. Kitchen: Stove was old and not easy to figure out even with the directions. Fridge not hooked up to water so ice machine and water dispenser does not work. The oven was very difficult to understand and smoked terribly when we turned it on. The house is a bit tired. Old counter tops, showers and tub and a couple of the bedroom windows (master) we in desperate need of repair. I have not used VRBO much in the past so I am wondering if it is common not to provide hand soap, shampoo or conditioner in the bathrooms. The hand soap at a minimum would have been nice. Shower curtain in bathroom on main floor needs to be replaced. For a 3 night stay in storm season, one bundle of wood was insufficient and it cost $60 to buy 4 bundles at the gas station as recommended. One bundle per night stay would have been perfect All of things are small issues that we were able to sort out and would not deter us from staying again. The final note… My husbands mother had passed away 4 days prior to our trip. Our host had left a bottle of wine and a card with condolences. Unfortunately the card was signed “Tofino Vacation Rental” (TVR) so we never knew who our host was in order to thank them personally for their kindness. We appreciated your home very much and wanted to thank you personally. I hope you find this review helpful.

Wonderful views, plenty of space!

Really loved the stay here. The hot tub is magnificent. Communications were very clear. Be aware that check in is pretty late at 5pm and check out is at 10am. Other than that, the stay was perfect.
