WHITEWATER is a 2 bedroom home surround by lush greenery and located a quick 5 minute stroll to world renowned South Chesterman beach. Families, surfers and beachcombers will love the proximity to the beach which is one of the main surfing beaches in Tofino and known for its incredible sunsets.

The main living area is homey, featuring modern furniture so you can relax and escape in comfort. Curl up on the sofa with a good book or scroll through options on the Optik TV. When not dining out at one of Tofino's many restaurants, cooking is made easy with the fully-equipped kitchen, new appliances & BBQ in the backyard. From the kitchen, the adjoining dining room is perfect for entertaining and home-cooked family dinners (4-6 guest max).

The backyard provides a tranquil setting for some downtime during your holiday. Warm up in the hot tub after a dip in the Pacific or enjoy a glass a wine around the wood fire pit. The backyard is complete with a beautifully landscaped garden with hot tub, BBQ and fire pit which provides the perfect relaxation zone. Enjoy the surf rack and outdoor shower after a day of surfing South Chesterman.

Whitewater can sleep up to 4 adults, plus an additional child as there is a single foldout chair in the large bedroom. The home has 2 bedrooms and 1 full bathroom which are all located on the second floor. The master bedroom is spacious and features a king bed, a fold down chair (single bed size),TV, and walk in closet. The second bedroom features a queen bed. A perfect layout for families with children or a group of close friends. The bathroom is a full bath with a shower and bathtub combo.

Just a 5 min walk to Chesterman Beach, Whitewater is the perfect Tofino home base and pets are welcome!

Please note: This property is not suitable for 5 adults as the single fold out chair is more suitable for a child.
Please note: as per Tofino Bylaw there is a onsite renter who lives in a separate suite attached to the home. You will share a driveway


During peak summer season (June 15 - Sept 15), all bookings must be back-to-back to avoid gaps.

3 night minimum stay for all Canadian Statutory Holidays

Dog friendly after owner approval. Please let us know about your pet with reservation request. $50 (plus tax) per dog. 2 dog max . Sorry no cats allowed.

Please note: A long-term tenant lives on-site in a separate caretaker suite as per Tofino Bylaws

Strict Quiet Hours: 10pm to 8am - please be respectful of the neighbors and locals!

Accidental Damage Protection: The occasional accident is bound to happen during your holiday. The ADP covers accidental damages of up to $1000, provided damages are reported to Tofino Vacation Rentals before your check-out in writing. The ADP is a mandatory fee of $10 per night that is included in your nightly rate.

Cancellation Policy: We offer a 30 day cancellation policy. If you provide us with the 30 days required notice you will receive a full refund (minus a $73.50 non-refundable processing fee). If you cancel without the required 30 days notice you will not receive a refund for your reservation.

5 star minus not being able to use bbq

Excellent place we enjoyed it very much super close to beach access and close to town would of love to used the bbq but was never cleaned and covered in mold besides that 5 star hot tub was excellent like i said great place to stay loved it very much

Perfect vacation spot

We loved our stay at Whitewater. The location was perfect, just a very short walk to Chesterman beach. The hot tub was lovely after surfing and the house was well equipped with everything we needed. Thank you!

Perfect getaway for a family of 4 with two teens

The house is perfect with a big fully stocked kitchen (cooking gear), three bedrooms and living area. Especially nice was the outdoor shower to keep the place clean after the beach and prior to the hot tub. the cost is relatively high but in line with other accommodations and from that perspective a good value. Equally nice was that it is dog friendly which saved the cost of boarding. We'll be back!

The place had everything we needed plus had a hot tub, fire pit and BBQ grill. It was close to Tofino townsite so it was easy to pick up anything needed for meals. The beach was a short walk away and was great for long walks.

Lovely relaxing getaway

We had a great stay for 4 days. The home is like a 2 minute walk to the beach which is amazing. They were kind enough to send us some firewood and the home also had many little hidden touches that most other rentals wouldn’t have. The main bedroom mattress could use a bit of flipping and/or fluffing as it’s a bit ‘dippy’ but that’s probably my only negetive comment. Great stay and we would come back for sure.

We expected more

This VRBO was ok. I’m very surprised at the amount of money this cost, to the poor maintenance of the property. I’m going to summarize my review into a plusses and minuses. Plus: - The kitchen was well stocked and had everything needed for 4 people. - The distance to Chesterman beach was a plus. Short walk, and interesting. - Bathroom Essentials were well stocked. - Enjoyed the two complimentary beers provided. - The beds, pillows and blankets were comfortable and well received. - It’s nice to have a hot tub in the back yard. - Internet worked well. Minus: - Kitchen faucet tap was broken and popped off immediately after use. - The provided bluetooth speakers were completely dead, and would not recharge. This is a common problem as per the internet, and was frustrating. - The bathroom door does not lock. - The rear door to the backyard would not stay closed without locking it. - For the amount that we paid, I would expect fully stocked wood in the backyard for fires. It’s frustrating to have to go buy $17 overpriced wood at CO-OP when the owner can spend $150 for a cord that lasts the summer. - No “Pokey Stick” for the fire. - The hot tub lid was broken and waterlogged. This owner has a whole list of rules regarding the hot tub, but because the lid was in such poor maintenance. They don’t seem to care at all. - Poor shower-head in the bathroom. Overall. This should have been better.

Great spot to stay in Tofino - Chesterman Beach

We stayed for 4 nights for Spring Break with our teenage children, and had a great time. The location is prime, Chesterman is a wonderful place to stay and to hang out. The walk to the beach is maybe 2 min max. The house is nice, comfortable and cozy with great amenities. Hot tub, fire pit, big comfortable beds and high speed internet. Win First time using VRBO and had a great experience. Will leverage this service again.

Beachy Family Getaway

We loved our stay at Whitewater. Very family friendly. Incredibly clean. Loved the backyard, hot tub, and outdoor shower post-beach. A little close to Hwy 4, some road noise, but otherwise amazing location.
