Just as listed

Chad was responsive and very committed to our having a good experience. Fireplaces and hot tub were in working order, and everything in kitchen was easy to find. Beautiful wood throughout as pictured. Very close to town and still remote feel. Two of the baths are not directly connected to the bedrooms, which is not much of an issue at all but good for planning is someone needs an ensuite. Great host!!

Long weekend getaway

I went to the mountains for a three day weekend with four of my buddies. The cabin was great, we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back here again

Cabin in the Mountain with a Great View

Cabin was exceptional: rustic look with modern and clean interior in a beautiful area. Waking up with a view of the mountains was great! Had all of the amenities you would want for a weekend getaway! Would highly recommend!

Wonderful weekend getaway

Stayed here for a bachelorette party. We enjoyed our time and the renovated cabin. A few of the renovations still need a little work, but all minor fixes. Property manager was very easy to contact and answered all my questions. Would definitely stay here again.

Weekend Getaway

The property owner communicated very well with us. I didn't realize how far up the mountain we would be but the roads were all paved. We had a 4cyl Dodge Journey fully loaded that made its way slowly. It's a beautiful area and it had a beautiful view. Very well stocked and very clean except for some spiders here and there but it's in the mountains surrounded by trees so it's expected. We all had a great time and the location was close to the blue ridge area which was really nice and not too much further was Copperhill, TN.

Nice modern design cabin

We enjoyed our stay - my husband and I decided to escape from the city and celebrate our 5-year anniversary. The property is big, nice modern design, and clean. The thing that I didn't like is that it is very close to other houses on both sides, so if there are people on their balconies, you don't get too much privacy. Also, the AC units outside are really loud. Overall, the experience was good, peaceful area where we got a chance to recharge.

Great Getaway

This cabin was everything in the description and more! The cabin was neat and clean and the views were amazing! My spouse and I enjoyed the hot tub and our 2 boys enjoyed the ping pong table. There are plenty of outdoor activities, shops, and restaurants with 35-40 minutes at most and the nearest town(where we grocery shopped) was 15 minutes away. The host was easy to get ahold of/communicate with and the neighbors around the property were very friendly. We definitely want to stay here again!

Wonderful location

We really enjoyed the Walnut mountain area. The drive in was pretty. We loved the winding roads and pretty views. The homes are closer together than we realized but it felt safe and we did not feel the presence of others invading during our stay. We were so happy to have a snowfall during the last evening of our 5 night stay. Chad was very responsive to our needs even texting us the ingles card number when we forgot it at the cabin. He offered solutions whenever we needed to communicate.

Perfect Getaway

I have no complaints. We woke up to a beautiful view every morning. We had more than adequate space and use of the cabin. Would highly recommend and would rent this property again.

Great house!

We really enjoyed our stay and this house was just right for our family. The owners were responsive too. It took a little while to drive up to the house, but the location was relatively close to Blue Ridge, orchards, and Amicalola. Would stay here again.

Beautiful mountain haven

The property was lovely, immaculately clean and everything was in working order. It was located on a mountain in a beautiful and quiet gated community. The neighbours were very friendly (except be mindful of noise after 9pm). We had all towels, linens, extra blankets, kitchen and laundry essentials provided for us which was great. Here are a few things that I personally like to know ahead of time i.e. on the website, just to make searching for the right property easier; 1. How far (approximately) it is to walk & drive to the pool, lakes and waterfall from the house (there are cool cut-throughs in the woods, which we enjoyed) 2. As soon as payment is made, to be emailed all check-in/check-out details, gate/front door codes, as well as maps of area (that you find in welcome folder at house), so you can plan itinerary 3. To know that we needed to wash all sheets and linens before check out (not necessarily dry them though). Having said this, Chad was AMAZING to deal with and he provided me with all the information www needed. I texted, called (and FaceTimed) him MULTIPLE times throughout the 4 days that we were there with all my questions (including step-by-step instructions on operating each of the TVs in the house, as well as more bizarre questions!). Chad was ALWAYS available and very responsive and patient, which was very reassuring and made it a pleasure to deal with him. We had a great time and would definitely go back!

A-MA-ZING!!

We had an amazing time at Pinecone Perch!!! I stayed with my husband, 3 children, and parents and we still had a TON of space! The host(s) were so easy to work with and accommodated our early check-in time! The cabin was clean, well stocked, comfortable, and beautiful!! My kids LOVED the "bear room!" This property worked great for a family with kids because the kids were able to takeover the downstairs and the adults could enjoy our space upstairs. We enjoyed the hot tub! It was clean, easy to use, and spacious! The views are amazing! The cabin was easy to find. The drive up the road was steep but paved! Locally, we enjoyed tubing, gem hunting, swimming in the community pool, playing in the nearby creek, and going to the movies. It really was an ideal vacation! Thank you so much! We will definitely be back!

Wonderful family cabin

Lots of space comfortable hang out areas and beds! My kids loved this cabin from the porch swing to the hot tub. The community pool is huge and convenient. The views were beautiful of the Mountains.

Enchanted forest!

We had the best stay! We had a party of 8 for a family trip and the cabin felt plenty big enough for all of us. It really felt like we were staying in an enchanted forest! We had tons of deer, even babies, everyday. The mountains were so green and there were lightening bugs everywhere. We loved having access to the pool! We enjoyed all of our favorite places to eat and enjoyed some summer activities like rafting, hiking, and swimming in waterfalls. This cabin is in such a great location and we will definitely be back! Thank you SO much for a great stay, for great communication, and a wonderful vacation!

Mac’s Haven

This cabin was absolutely awesome. The view of Mountain was superb. The amenities in cabin made stay fantastic. A perfect Mountain vacation, loved it so much coming back in the Fall. Saw many deer along Skyview road. Great things to do in Ellijay, Blue Ridge, and Cherry Log close by. Horse riding, Blue Ridge Train and waterfalls, Aska area were so nice. You will love a stay here, cabin felt like home away from home. Loved so much we booked again for the Fall.

Wonderful Mountain Cabin

We had a wonderful stay at this cabin. It has a great view from the deck of the mountains. Very comfy/cozy place - very close drive to Elijay, Blue Ridge, winery’s and other north GA destinations. Would come back for another stay.

Lovely white Christmas at the cabin!

We had a great time at the cabin over Christmas. Linda and Rodney made so much effort with decorations and we were pleasantly surprised to find a Christmas tree. That was extra special for the kids to enjoy and to put our presents underneath it. The weather played along and we had snow on Christmas Eve, the perfect touch to our stay. The cabin had everything we needed and enough space and areas for different generations to enjoy at the same time. Thank you very much for the preparation of the cabin in advance of our stay and for the clear and timely communication. We’ll come again!!

We’re just a couple of Florida boys that love the mountains. Tallahassee is our home for now but we hope to retire to Ellijay in the future.

Why they chose this property

The views! The property is also easily accessible, which isn’t always the case in the North Georgia mountains. We knew after our first trip to the area that we wanted a place of our own.

What makes this property unique

Walnut Mountain has so much to offer. Four lakes, hiking, swimming, tennis, so many activities! The cabin is so spacious and we love enjoying the views from the front porch swing or one of the three back decks.
