Lovely week in paris

We had an amazing trip to Paris, our stay was great after check in. Being used to VRBO in Canada we were not familiar with communication through a hosting company rather than communicating directly through VRBO. After a few speed bumps at check in we had a lovely stay with no issues.

Pros - Great location, near metro & tons of excellent dining & bars. Actual apartment was very nice, comfortable bed & duvet. Cons - no curtain in bathroom, so both the neighbour & the other bedroom could see you directly in the glass shower & using the toilet. Shower wand was broken. Light in the 4 level walkup was broken, so if you arrive or leave when the sun is down you are walking up/down 4 flights of stairs in total darkness.

This was our first time staying in a foreign country outside of a hotel. The owner’s representatives at Pickaflat were not only kind and understanding but extremely accommodating and patient to answer our questions. The apartment was great, clean and the bed very comfortable but the host/staff gave us the feeling that we were among friends. Oh, and the best part - there was an iron!

We chose this apartment because of the price and that most everything was within walking distance, ie food, entertainment, historical sights, etc... It was clean and comfortable and even had a washer/dryer combination machine. The communication with apartment management staff was wonderful. We knew this going in, but be prepared for the four flights of stairs you have to climb to get to your apartment as there is no elevator. We are in our 40's and we survived. lol We mainly used the apartment as a place to sleep as we were gone most of the day and into the evening each day.
