Remember that you are in the woods, you will likely hear and see woodland critters, including bears who like to show up in our neighborhood and say hello. Remember to practice bear safety, it is very exciting to see bears but they are still wild animals.

The neighborhood:
Country Pines Log Home Resort is close to town but away from the hustle and bustle. Barely 10 minutes from the excitement, shopping, and superb attractions of Pigeon Forge, including the world-renowned Dollywood, and only 15 minutes away from Gatlinburg, home of Ripley's Aquarium of the Smokies and a myriad of other attractions, Country Pines is an oasis of tranquility. You have access to a children's playground on the premises as well. For most guests, it's the perfect balance of location and an authentic experience of the wilderness.

Very satisfied!

I was very happy with my stay at the Cozy Bear Cabin. It was exceptionally clean and was very well organized. From inside the cabinets to the bathroom, things were labeled. It was like I was looking at a Pinterest board. The house was stocked with plenty of towels, toiletry and blankets. Everyone in my party truly had no complaints. We definitely reccomend this Cabin to stay.

Cute cabin in a good location

Our group of four friends enjoyed our stay here. The kitchen is well-equipped and the hot tub was great. We had a couple small issues—the door between the downstairs bedroom and bathroom jammed and we were unable to open it, and the hot tub was low on water. Communication was quick and both issues were resolved quickly. Close to the Smoky Mountain park and easy to find, would definitely stay again.

Great stay 10/10

Our family of 7 (all adults - 3 couples and one single adult) stayed 12/31-1/3. We really enjoyed it. The living and dining rooms had ample seating for us. The hot tub was a hit. The kitchen was well furnished. The porch swing was nice. One thing to note, because it’s not clear in the room description, (and it’s my fault for not noticing on the floor plan photo), is that the small “nook” with two twin beds is actually kind of a closet off one of the bedrooms. The only way to get in-and-out of the “twin bed” room is to walk through the bedroom, so neither room was very private. It’s perfect for parents with small children that they want to keep in the room with them but still be able to close a door and have privacy from the kids, but not good for a couple who constantly have another guest having to cut through their room. Note: there was no TV in the small twin bed room. The loft “bedroom” is open, which we expected, and the bannister is covered to give privacy from people down below in the living room (which was good), but it would have been nice to maybe have a privacy screen upstairs to move into place to give privacy while dressing or sleeping from those coming up the stairs or who are going to the upstairs rooms. The cabin was decorated and furnished well. We had plenty of bathroom linens and the bed sheets were soft. The beds were all comfortable. We also liked that we were so close to town and attractions, and that the cabin was easy to get to. The host great also!

Family getaway

I hate to be a downer but this is the first time I’ve ever had to leave a somewhat bad review. The cabin was just okay overall. When we arrived a lot of the lightbulbs were out. There were ants all over the kitchen countertops. The hot tub didn’t get very warm no matter what temp we sat it on and most of the jets didn’t work. Also, the laundry area is on the deck next to the hot tub and one of the bifold doors was hanging off to the side. Other than all this, the beds were comfortable and the cabin was close to everything.

Pigeon Forge Trip

The location of the property was great. The cleanliness of the cabin was not. The hot tub water needed to be changed. The little front deck was rotten in several places so we really could not use that. Overall it would be a great cabin for small groups. The sofa bed was broken and the air mattress had a hole in it so we could not use them. That was an inconvenience to us. None of the furniture had been cleaned underneath. We found articles of clothing under the bed and night stand. I hate to give such a bad review but you pay a lot of money to have this cabin cleaned. It needs to be better.

Super well decorated cabin. Just the right size for the eight of us. Far enough out of Pigeon Forge to be quiet. Host was very concerned that we were comfortable. We had a wonderful family week.

Quaint Cabin

This cabin met our needs for the time there as we were able to meet up with some family and visit and all be in one space. The area of the cabin is what is great as it it quiet, far enough out, but close enough to get to town in minutes. We have stayed in this area for years and cant wait to return. Communication with the owner was easy and response was fast.

Very nice cabin in the woods, but close to attractions

Very roomy and open. Bear-themed decor. Hot tub was ready to use. Everything was clean Inside. The front porch deck, however was not usable because of tree debris. Overall, deep cleaning and updating of towels is needed. The upstairs sink drain is slow and stopper does not work. We enjoyed our stay . Thank you

Beautiful and Spacious

You can’t go wrong here! Lots of space, and sleeps several folks comfortably. Fully stocked kitchen with everything you need. Hostess Carrie communicates well and quickly addressed one small problem we had (that was way beyond her control *nature*) in a professional manner. A wonderful trip with a great place to call home for the week!

Wonderful cabin!

We loved our stay at this cabin! The location was ideal in that you were close to all the attractions of the area but didn’t have the traffic/noise! The cabin had everything we needed to cook and also had some child sized plates, utensils! We hope to return and enjoy another great stay!

Thanks for considering our home! A little about us- my family and I (my husband and our 5 kids) love being outdoors and exploring. Originally from Texas, we've lived in NY, WI, CO, and now back to Texas and thoroughly enjoy seeing what each state has to offer. We have learned that we have a deep admiration for the mountains and the beach. Our cabin in the Smokies offers so much adventure and sight-seeing, it is definitely a place to explore for everyone. We hope you choose our home as your place to stay, but if not, we hope you have a wonderful time during your travels and with the ones you love.
