Maalaea Banyans Condos are near the Maui Ocean Center in Maalaea Bay. Maalaea Bay has a fishing and boating harbor where most island charter boats operate from. Adjacent to the harbor are restaurants, shops, groceries, etc. The condo is walking distance from these attractions and activities. The harbor is world renowned for whale watching and surfing during the respective season. Onsite management and receptionist for all your questions and needs!

Our condo is located on the second floor with unobstructed 180 degree view of the ocean from the lanai. You are only 50 feet from the beach. You can walk sugar beach for miles!

Fifteen minutes away by car is Lahaina town that is world renowned for shopping, dining and entertainment.

The Maalaea Banyan Condominium grounds feature pool, spa and gas barbeque area on greenbelt between condo and ocean. These amenities are directly in front view from our condo lanai. Enjoy ocean sunsets and watch turtles surface often!

The condo is fully stocked so you only need to bring food, drink and toothbrush! Carefully decorated and very pleasant surroundings throughout.

Nice stay!!

We had a great week stay here! It was comfortable, easy to access shopping, and away from the crowds. Sea turtles came right up onto shore at dusk, and we saw 19 one night! I would suggest the owner investing in a new mattress for the bed- not anything horrible but a little uncomfortable. Would definitely come back again though!

Perfect

If you’re like me, you spend hours reviewing vacation stay options based on location, cost and view. If this sounds like you, I’d recommend you book. It’s hard to beat the view at this very reasonable price. The location is quiet and the view is stunning. The condo is well equipped, clean and again, the view from the deck is incredible. We saw whales and turtles every day. It’s also a quick walk to the beach.

We stayed there once before, so we knew going in that the unit needs work. Wicker furniture is outdated and uncomfortable. We were greeted by a Covid test and used bottle of cough syrup on the bathroom counter. Also, unit is right above the hot tub and we were woken up at 1;30 AM by a couple of jerks who climbed the fence and talked loudly in the tub. One good thing is that the owner is easy to reach but if security was better I would not have had to reach out to her. Not a good experience and we will not be back anytime soon.

Oceanfront views

A wonderful stay at a great oceanfront condo with all amenities and vintage Hawaiian decorations. The AC and washer and dryer were a plus. Quiet neighborhood with a gorgeous beach for walking right down the walkway.

A pretty good spot

The views were amazing, we saw turtles and whales!!! The beach was not really the best, but down the street the beach was great!!! There are a lot of bugs, they did spray while we were there, but still a lot of bugs inside. We found it hard to use the pool and hot tub and get access to the beach as they close everything up at 9pm and don’t open it until 9am. It is very centrally located which is nice!!!

Perfect Maui Getaway – Relaxed Vibes and Unbeatable Views

Check-in was a breeze, and the free parking was a bonus. As soon as you walk in, you’re greeted with stunning ocean views. The condo was cute, spacious, and fully equipped with everything you need—full-size fridge and freezer, oven, coffee makers, washer and dryer, dishwasher, plates, silverware, and kitchen appliances. It even had a hair dryer, big bedroom, air conditioning, cable TV, and free Wi-Fi. The balcony offered a priceless paradise view, and the pool felt almost private with hardly anyone there. The hot tub stays open until 10 PM, and there’s a special little corner of the beach nearby where we saw sea turtles in the evening. The outdoor kitchen was perfect, with propane BBQs plumbed for all-day use and a sink area. This spot is an amazing value with a relaxed Hawaiian vibe. Nearby, we found great deals on happy hour—$3-5 mai tais and local draft beers—and a general store within walking distance that had everything we needed, including breakfast options. We also stayed at the Hilton Waikiki for a weekend, but we were so relieved to return here. It was truly a laid-back oasis, and we wouldn’t want to stay anywhere else if we come back to Maui. Great location, fantastic condo, and a wonderful host. Mahalo!

Good location.

Owner has everything needed for the beach and snorkeling. Made it great. Could use some spices other than just salt and pepper. Unit is dated which is fine but definitely could have been cleaner.

Great view, central location

The property fits the bill for a (relatively) cheap place to stay with a lovely view. It’s convenient for accessing all parts of the island & quick to get to from the airport with easy parking. The property itself is a bit older but has everything you need for a comfortable stay.

Poor cleaning service

We have a comfortable stay at the property. However we find that the cleaning service was poor. We found wet laundry in the washer, the toilet was dirty, counter top wasn't cleaned well, the floor was a little sticky. We cleaned all ourselves except for the floor. We called the owner and I believed the cleaner was called but we thought nobody came. We were forwarded the cleaner's contact to have us call the cleaner instead. We didn't take up on the offer. We find we paid for the cleaning service but the service was not provided. Other than the cleanliness, the apartment is well equipped. There are snorkels, fins, sand toys, chairs. We bought a boogie board and left that behind for the next guest. We also bought a new big nonstick pan and left that behind. The non stick coatings on all the other pans have been heavily scratched.

Great stay for a great cost!

This property was great for a week + stay! It was super easy to check in, the code worked without issues and to park you just filled out a card for a parking pass at the front desk. The property was clean, quiet, and in a great location! Views from the 2nd floor balcony were beautiful and we were able to watch the sunrise from it a few mornings. The little beach was less than a 5 minute walk away, and never crowded! The property also had enough towels, grill equipment, coolers, and beach toys/supplies for our entire stay. My only complaint was there wasn’t very many cleaning products available, such a disinfecting wipes or sprays, which was miner but would have been nice. Overall, a great stay and would definitely go back!

AFFORDABLE OCEANFRONT CONDO

It a 80 unit four story property with a elevator, this unit on the 2nd floor. Beautiful Oceanfront view of Kahoolavi, Molokini and So Maui. Heated pool and Spa, with Oceanfront BBQ's. The unit has a confortable queenbed, adequate air conditioning and ceiling fans in living and bedroom. It has a large washer and dryer and everything you would need for your stay. I really enjoyed the stay and likely will return again.

Second time just as good as first.

My husband and I love Donna's place because it's well situated in Kihei and you can see turtles and whales depending on the time of year. Has everything you could need for a great experience. We're coming back next year as well!

Great property to be close but not in the midst of it all.

We sure enjoyed our stay here. Loved watching the whales from the lanai and seeing the turtles on the beach. Everything you need is 10-15 minutes away but you don’t have to have the hustle and bustle around you every minutes. If you want to walk out to a beach or have no wind, this is not the property for you. But if you want peace and tranquillity this is amazing. Would totally stay here again. Donna was very responsive to any text. Unit was clean and comfortable.

Great Place to Stay

We loved this place. It was my wife and I and our 7 year old. It was the perfect place for us to stay. We loved having breakfast on the balcony overlooking the ocean. Seriously the views are amazing. There’s also a little beach area that always had sea turtles feeding or just laying on the beach. There is beach chairs and a cooler that we used every day. Would definitely stay here again. It’s not a super fancy place and it’s dated, but we don’t care about that stuff. It was clean, comfortable and perfect for us.

Relaxing stay

Our family had a wonderful stay in the Condo.The sofa bed had foam mattress which was very comfortable to sleep. The kitchen had all the utensils and cutlery, so we were able to cook our meals everyday. We enjoyed the ocean view from our balcony plus watching the whales was a bonus.And a few steps from the back of the building gets you to a small beach where we watched the turtles swimming back to the beach in the evening. It is very close to the Maalaea Harbor from where most of the snorkeling tours to Molokini crater starts. Great place!

Super!’

What a little gem to have found! Beautiful lanai space to watch whales that put on quite the show in January! The sea turtles coming up on shore every evening was a bonus! Enjoyed using the pool and just a short walk down the back sidewalk to a perfect little (not crowded) sandy beach. Couple really good restaurants nearby. We will be coming back!
