My fiancé and I stayed here for Valentine’s weekend. We were hoping for pretty scenery and a little peace and quiet. That’s exactly what this secluded vineyard offered. We had hoped to do some hiking, but the weather had other ideas. Still, despite the storms, the room was cozy and quiet and gave us some much needed downtime. The tasting room was inviting and the wine cocktails were delicious! The staff were friendly and attentive. Couldn’t have asked for a better location for a romantic getaway. We will definitely be back to explore this gorgeous property again.
We were so lucky that our original place was double-booked - this one isn't just a room, it's an experience. As quiet and serene a place as you'll ever visit with a cozy bed, an epic balcony view, brilliant stars, and tap water so tasty, I'm mentioning it in a review. Hosts were super friendly and communicative in both English and German - even opened the winery early so we could buy a couple bottles on our way out. Worth knowing: the last mile or so of the road is gravel, and you may want a sleep mask if you're not keen to rise with the brilliant mountain sun streaming in through the massive windows. We'll be back for sure!

It would have been helpful to know that we had to travel 2-1/2 miles up a rough, rocky, gravel, single lane road to get to our destination. It's a good thing we drove our truck. The view was spectacular but very remote. It was at least 40 minutes to get anywhere. The "kitchen" consisted of a coffee pot, a hot water pot, an InstaPot, and a small electric griddle. Oh, and a small refrigerator. The mattress was uncomfortable. There was no TV.
The apartment was very clean, spacious, private, and the view from the balcony was absolutely beautiful. My husband and I enjoyed the tasting room before checking in and the owners were so sweet and accommodating. Highly recommend this space!
This property is spectacular. The panoramic vistas, coupled with the cozy amenities in The Loft are a perfect place to relax for a weekend away! Definitely do a wine tasting and treat yourself to a couple of bottles. Close to the lake and Helen, but far enough out that you still enjoy the beautiful Vineyard property.
I can not give enough praise about how awesome our stay went. We had an absolute blast spending time with the owners and their friends. I’m not a big people person because of anxiety and just being shy. That didn’t even matter when meeting everybody. They were so welcoming and the wine is DIVINE. My bf and I are even considering using this venue for our wedding. They had a beautiful house to stay at and it was so private and had the most beautiful Mountain View. If you’re looking for a good time, people who care, beautiful view or great wine come stay.. you won’t be sorry! They even let us do drone footage of the area and it’s beautiful! I hope to stay there again soon! Thank you for your hospitality and how amazing you all are! One of the best NYE in a while.

This place was a spectacular get-away spot, close to hiking (some even at the vineyard) and other trails as well. Views from the deck were perfect, and the night was clear and stars stretched above.
The microwave and mini-fridge were enough for my needs, though it would be hard to cook meals there. The bathroom was beautiful, and furnishings perfect, though the mattress on the bed might need an update soon.
Communication with the hosts was a breeze, and they were so accommodating! Even gave me a tip on where to hike close by and worked with me on check in and check out to make that seamless.
Definitely would stay again!
We had an incredible experience with the folks at Terra Incognita. The family-run operation is great for couples looking for a getaway. Chris, Torsten, Sarah and Alocqua (sic? sorry!) made us feel at home. We will be back.
Beautiful mountain top setting. Really enjoyed our evenings on the balcony. Sunrise and sunset are awe inspiring. Tastingroom was operating during our stay, the wine was good, we enjoyed sitting by the fire. The drive up the mountain is pretty rugged, I was glad we rented an suv for our trip. Only real downside was the noise transfer between the tastingroom and the second floor, mostly during setup. We would deffinately stay again.
Lovely people and a lovely place made this a great stay for our family. Spectacular sunsets. We had kids in tow but would make a great anniversary spot.
