The best VRBO ever!

I have stayed in VRBO properties in the U.S., Europe and Mexicp and this was the best ever! Located in a lovely safe neighborhood this gem came fully loaded with great linens, jars of snacks and treats, a passel of games and a fully equipped kitchen.

We absolutely loved our stay on Polk Street! It felt like home away from Florida for the week, and was quiet and safe. Our family had the best time visiting Chicago and a few cozy movie nights staying in too! Thank you John!! We loved the Chicago feel we had at your place!

Chicago hockey trip

Everything was as advertised in the booking. We had more than enough towels and supplies for our stay. The host goes above and beyond to make it a welcoming space. We had 1 issue with neighbors but the host responded and resolved the issue immediately. We hope to stay at the exact same place our next visit. Highly recommended.

Spring Break Vacation

This Graystone property has a ton of charm and easily fit our family of 6. The owner has excellent communication. We were a 15 min drive to all museums. We were only 4 min from the El /Train to downtown. The property was clean and had many details others miss. Great place will stay again

Oh the neighborhood

What a great stay for a long weekend. Only a block away from amazing restaurants and a couple of blocks from bus and train stops.The host was top of the line, responding quickly to communication, kept the steps, stairs, and sidewalk cleared of snow, and provided lots of snacks and amenities. Our only incident was the poor choices of the upstairs tenants the first night with a loud and long lasting party. That is not the fault of the host or VRBO just the risk of a building with multiple apartments. Overall, I loved my stay here and it was a fabulous addition to my Chicago memories.

Little Italy Gem!

The property was well maintained, decorated and stocked. The accomodations were very comfortable. The location was ideal as it was close to the Polk station and many restaurants. I would highly recommend Stax for breakfast. nts.

Dreamy home-away-from-home!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Mr. Walsh was responsive, his offering was exactly like the listing - even better, actually! We were spoiled with all the amenities and small details that truly transformed this family trip into a joyously memorable experience. Close to all of the great food spots in Little Italy, transit is easy to navigate to and from, and every room was beautifully adorned and maintained.

Family Trip to Chicago

John had the apartment well stocked with coffee, teas, candy, towels, toiletries, and warm robes. Bed were comfy with nice bedding. We would stay here again!!

Great location

Great location walking distance of restaurants and some nightlife. Good neighborhood very safe college kids walking the streets not occasion. Are you really lazy lots of amenities more than usual in places like this and enjoyed our state would stay there again

Absolutely amazing!

We had the best long weekend at John’s! The property is in such a beautiful neighborhood, we walked to multiple restaurants and coffee shops. Uber rides are short and easy to all the fun touristy things to do in Chicago! Check out is an absolute breeze. We highly recommend his home and we will be back!!!

Place fine. Host not.

The listed address is different from the actual property address (just next door), which made the check-in process unclear. I ended up in an apartment in the next door building trying to figure out what was going on, and the guys living in that apartment helped clarify the situation. Apparently I was the third guest in less than two weeks that had the same issue and went to their place. I had messaged the host and he got back to me while I was talking to the guys who helped me. When I arrived at the actual apartment, host was waiting outside, yelling at me saying he had texted me. There was no "good evening" or "sorry for the confusion". When I tried to talk, he waved his hands in the air and left slamming the door behind him. I've never had a host being this rude in my life. Place was fine, tiny rooms but nice otherwise. Still, I couldn't care less, since I won't be back to that place or any other managed by that host.

Beautiful condo, great place to stay in Chicago

We loved staying in this condo in Chicago. The tree lined streets were very pretty in the autumn (fall). The bedrooms were clean and comfortable, the kitchen had everything we needed - loved the little chocolates! The bathrooms were clean and had everything we needed. Walking distance to eating places and shops.

Our stay at your property was a great experience. Plenty of amenities to fit our needs. The neighborhood was quiet and very safe. We used Uber to get to things and it was a quick ride! I feel comfortable in recommending this property.

Made the trip extra special

Such a great place to stay. Plenty of space and very clean. Host was extremely accommodating and worked with our arrival and departure times. The neighborhood is beautiful, lots of park space and beautiful tree lined streets. We walked down to the lake every day, got lots of steps in, weather was perfect for our stay.

Enjoyed this stay a lot!

This vrbo was very nice and communication with the host was great. We had two cars which the host was able to accommodate. I have two minor complaints about our stay - first, this is a multi residence building so you can expect to hear others move around upstairs. Second, the floor is quite creaky which wasn’t pleasant for us as we moved around the place. Those two small complaints aside, I think this was a great property in a great location. I would definitely recommend it!

Amtrak from St Paul, Minnesota to Chicago to view all Venues Diwntown. I would definarely stay there again Thank you John
