About this property

Pet Friendly | Ocean Views | Across the Road from the Beach | The Round House

The Round House is a unique Amelia Island vacation home located at 1043 South Fletcher just across the street from the ocean's edge! This property can accommodate up to 12 guests with four bedrooms and three full bathrooms plus two Queen sleeper sofas. Guests will also appreciate having two kitchens and two living rooms. And who wouldn't love to have front row seats on the large balcony to enjoy beautiful sunrises over the ocean?

Three bedrooms and one bathroom are located at ground level along with the smaller kitchen and living area. The master suite, main living area, kitchen and another full bathroom are upstairs on the second level.

This home has been recently upgraded with new flooring, interior and exterior paint, an outdoor shower and wall mounted TVs throughout. Beach Access #10-S is conveniently located across from the street (See Photos). Our Gopher Tortoise, Terri, resides onsite in the front yard. Please do not touch!

This property is NOT equipped with beach items such as chairs, toys, coolers, wagons, or umbrellas. We do supply beach towels and often times beach items do get left on the property from previous guests. We cannot ensure how many items will be available during your stay, as this is always subject to change.

The house is very nice, clean, roomy and very well stocked. Plenty of cooking items, which means a lot to us. We do a lot of cooking. The views and proximity to the beach and downtown are great.

Excellent home across from beach!

We rented the round house for our annual girl’s weekend with my mom, sister, and best friends. We were looking for a place close to the beach but with a balcony and walking distance to restaurants. This place was in a great location, the bedrooms were comfortable and decorated tastefully, and the balcony gave us spectacular views of the moonrise. We walked the mile to Sliders and had dinner 2 nights and also drive to downtown Fernandina for shopping and a boat tour of Cumberland Island. Highly recommend the round house!

This house is tired

The pictures looked great, but the house is outdated and is falling apart. I'm shocked at the price compared to the value. The location is great, the house was clean (save some dirty doors/walls), and the property management company communicated very well. It's just the house itself- there are maintenance issues, the front porch feels like it's about to collapse, the kitchen is way outdated as is everything in it, the hot water has issues when more than one shower is being used, the master toilet is super low and there were problems with the chain while flushing. We visit Amelia Island once a year- we will not be coming back to this house.

Pledge the Pink Walk

My friends and I had a great weekend on Amelia Island while walking the Pledge the Pink event. The house was a perfect location. The house was great for the 7 of us.

Great house across the street from beach

Clean and more spacious than it looks.Layout of house was great for us. Older parents upstairs while the younger adults had the downstairs and we didn’t hear a thing. Beach was very quiet and beach access was one house down which was also nice. Good quiet location but still close to everything. Walked a mile in both directions to restaurants. We will be back.

We found the house to be just as described. The location was perfect for us. Beach access is right across the road from the house. Found the Amelia Island Getaway Team to be very friendly. They checked in with us throughout our visit to ensure we were not experiencing any issue. They were great to work with! We would return to this house again.

Great home and great location.

We all really liked this home and would consider coming back when the weather is nicer. Unfortunately, we had a storm front come through during our stay so we couldn’t enjoy the beach, which was right across the street. We were stuck indoors most of the time, but this house made the bad weather tolerable. The only thing to know is that there’s really no yard to speak of. It’s just a lot of brush all around the house. Totally fine for a beach vacation though, IMO. The location as about a mile away from good dining in either direction too.

Amazing Rental!

Great location! Literally steps from a beach access point and a 10 min walk to the Greenway. Quiet section of beach. Close to great restaurants. The house was great! Nicely outfitted with everything you could need and *great* comfy beds. Excellent layout for inviting guests. What sets this apart was customer service. I didn’t need much, but they were immediately and effectively responsive. Have already booked my next stay😊

Great family vacation

The people at Amelia Getaways were amazing. The house was the perfect size for our family. The location was right near the beach. There were a couple of issues with some pieces of furniture and it was fixed that same day that I texted them. Nick came by and fixed the problems even on a Saturday. I would rent from Amelia Getaways again in a heartbeat!
