Dog Shadows on Mount Vernon is located in Prescott’s Historic District. This renovated two bedroom, two bathroom cottage provides modern amenities with the charm of a historic house. The home features local artwork, small dining area and a quaint front porch for sipping your morning coffee, as well as a private deck on the back with a propane grill and additional seating. Dog Shadows on Mount Vernon is a 5 minute walk to Historic Downtown Prescott and Granite Creek Park.
Breathe in that delicious mountain air as you find solace in the winter snow or cool summer weather. Prescott offers year round activities including Prescott Frontier Days Rodeo in July, special events at Halloween, Veterans Day parade, Thanksgiving, Lighting of the Courthouse in early December, Christmas festivities, and The Whiskey Row Boot Drop for the New Years Eve Event. The summer Concert Series brings free events to the Courthouse Square, bring your chairs, picnic basket and enjoy the music on the Courthouse Square.
Prescott offers many hiking trails from light and easy to those for the more adventurous seeking a more rugged terrain. You may want to go see the Grand Canyon which is 1-1/2 hours away. Beautiful Sedona is an hour away, Jerome is 40 minutes and Flagstaff 1-1/2 hours away. If you want to see some local animals then our very own Heritage Park Zoo is a short 15 minute drive. The Granite Dells park is a gorgeous picturesque adventure and to name a few others we have Goldwater lake, Willow Creek and Lynx Lake. So many wonderful places to experience and enjoy!
INSIDE THE HOME
Living room: A perfect gathering place to read, access your streaming accounts for a movie and cozy up after a long day of sightseeing and exploring.
Kitchen: This open kitchen has everything you need to prepare your favorite meals, except the ingredients. Appliances featured are refrigerator, microwave, a coffee maker, dishwasher, oven/stove and toaster.
Bathroom 1: Located in the hallway, it includes a walk-in shower and toilet. It has been stocked with all the necessary towels.
Bathroom 2: Located off the bedroom, it includes a walk-in shower, pedestal tub and toilet. It has been stocked with all the necessary towels.
First Bedroom: This bedroom features a full size bed, side table, lamp and alarm clock. The closet offers additional storage and drawer space.
Second Bedroom: This bedroom features a queen size bed, bedside tables, alarm clock and a lamps. There is plenty of storage space in the closet and drawer space.
Laundry room: This home features a stackable washer and dryer for your convenience. Please feel free to use laundry pods and dryer sheets that are available to you. There is an iron and an ironing board available for you to use.
OUTSIDE
The front porch provides a comfortable sitting area to enjoy your coffee and the Arizona weather. The back deck offers a private area to relax in the Arizona sun or BBQ on the propane grill.
*Other things to note:* While your stay will be very private and you will have the home to yourself, this is a multi-family property.
BEFORE BOOKING please note that if your reservation requires a pet fee, this fee will NOT be shown at time of booking. This fee will be requested through Airbnb once you've made us aware of the pet. It’s the guest's responsibility to let us know within 48 hours of booking if there are any pets, service animals or additional guests that weren’t originally listed at the time of booking. Changes made to the reservation after 48 hours of time of booking are subject to a $35 change of reservation fee in addition to the pet fee and/or additional guest fee.
Rules and Policies
You must be at least 25 to rent. Only registered guests at the property, let us know if you are planning on having outside guests at any time during your stay.
PMI Northern Arizona is Full Service Property Management company, we do have and require a Property/Region Specific Vacation Rental Agreement be signed separate from what is required by Airbnb. This contract will be sent after Airbnb confirms the booking with our office.
It’s the guest’s responsibility to make PMI Northern Arizona aware of a service animal or emotional support animal that will be staying at the property before check in. Once made aware, you will be sent an email of our policy on this matter. When we’ve confirmed your service or emotional support animal, you’re required to sign an Animal Addendum in addition to the standard contract.
Guests will be sent check-in instructions three days prior to arrival.

• Please take out your trash before you leave.
• No illegal substances allowed on the premises.
VACATION CODE OF HONOR: Only registered guests are permitted to enjoy the property, home and amenities at all times. Please do not jeopardize your stay by permitting guests and/or visitors other than those listed on your agreement. As a courtesy to our neighbors, we adhere to, abide by the Golden Rule.
