I don’t speak French so it took a couple days to learn the local bus and tram system. It is a 10-15 minute walk to the local tram, though both the buses stop there and are quick into the city. Restaurants and food around the station but the immediate surroundings are residential. One Boulangerie around the corner and since I was there for a conference at the university in Pessac I didn’t use the kitchen except to make tea.
I tried to use Bolt once, to get back to the main train station early in the morning, Uber worked better but a sample of one is unreliable.
I didn’t pay attention to whether they offer parking.
OK size-wise for one person, might be OK for 2, a convertible bed that was comfortable enough. No air conditioning so it might be uncomfortable in hot weather, I was ok with windows open. I expect to walk a lot in Europe so the location was ok, though in the end I only walked to the university for my conference once.
