Labor of Love complete remodel of an original Historic Tarpon Springs Florida Cracker house. Close to amazing restaurants, small town shops. great beaches and parks nearby. Our family including all 5 of my children rebuilt everything. We have a lot invested if not money the blood sweat and tears. Lots of Character and modern comforts as well. We hope you enjoy this home as much as we did refurbishing it.

This remodeled gem had quality workmanship and was in such a convenient location. We were able to walk to numerous shops and restaurants. Parks and beaches were just a short drive away. When we had questions, the host response was quick. It was also fun to visit festivals and live music in the area. Highly recommend!
Great remodeled home for a weekend trip to Tarpon Springs. Short Walk to Sponge Docka and brewerys. House is real charming outside and newly remodeled is inside. Good central located spot to hang your hat while on the go!

Scary Area
Actual property and house was great, but surrounding area was not very safe feeling! Witnessed multiple illegal looking activities going on at apartments next door! Not sure I would be comfortable sending family to that location!
We were All pleased with the 5 day stay. Proximity made it very easy to get to some fun and neat locations ;
Sponge Docks, Fred Howard Park, Pinellas Trails. Dunedin an easy 10 mile trek away.
Hibiscus street was a quiet street, allowed for relaxing time to sit on nice front porch.
The Hibiscus Hideaway was great. Lots of room in a totally redone cottage style house with quality upgrades (for once, a place with quiet ceiling fans). Beautiful kitchen and bathrooms. The location is perfect, one block from the Pinellas trail and a short walk to the shops and restaurants in downtown Tarpon Springs. Also very close to the Sponge docks and Craig Park
This was a great property and close to all that Tarpon Springs has to offer. If you are a first timer we also rented a golf cart snd just let the truck sit, however if you have good walking shoes so many things within walking distance or biking distance.
Great home, very clean! Walkable to downtown, the sponge docks, the Pinellas trail and lots of breweries and coffee shops in between! The neighborhood is definitely transitioning. We didn’t run into any issues, but walking around there were some rough spots. Overall though, a very nice stay!
We attended a faily reunion in Tarpon. The owner was wonderful and very communicative. She clearly tries to make her guests happy and welcome. The house is adorable and very nicely remodeled.
The house is all updated and great accommodations. Close to local shops and restaurants.
Within walking distance of local shops and restaurants. Closest beach is about 2 miles. House is very nice and updated. The local Jolley Trolley was a bit challenging to figure out but the locals are all very nice and helped out. Owner communication was prompt and friendly. Would recommend!!

The home is awesome once inside. The side yard has abandoned cars. The back parcel has a very smelly chicken coop on the front porch. The host was very slow to return messenging.

Well maintained property
Our reservation was only for one night. We arrived @11 pm but had not yet received the code for entry. Kids were tired after driving for 16 hours and needed to use the restroom and go to bed. Called host several times and texted numerous times but no response. Spoke with Vrbo and they were able to contact the host apparently using same number and we received the entry code around midnight by text from the host. We did not receive an apology or explanation from the host for the failure to send the code, the delay or the failure to respond to our numerous communications. To be clear, we never did receive a response to those communications and confirmed the number we were using verbally with the rep from Vrbo.
Otherwise, it is a lovely property and is centrally located. It suited our families needs for a one night stay.

Lovely house near historic downtown Tarpon Springs
Nicely renovated home with great kitchen. They dealt with a less than desirable view by installing clerestory windows that draw the eye up to views of the old oak trees on the property. The immediate neighborhood is rough but quiet. Historic downtown is just a few block walk away as is the Pinellas bike trail. The sponge docks are within 1/2 mile. We had a very difficult time checking in. We were supposed to get the code for entry by 4pm. At that time we asked VRBO to contact the owner. VRBO said when they called, the person who answered said the owner had died and hung up, This was not helpful. We began scrambling to find a hotel on a Friday night and all were booked. At 5:30pm we got the message with the entry code. No explanation for the delay was given.
This property was perfect! Clean, beautiful home close to downtown. We especially loved that the owners had a stash of all the supplies that get forgotten - toothbrush, toothpaste, razors, bandaids, sewing needles. We had a lovely relaxing time (and the shower was fabulous!)
This house was beautiful, clean and comfortable! The beds were very comfy and it all really felt like home. The extra touches with candles and extra toiletries was really nice. There is a washer/dryer but no keurig and no dishwasher. Those were both fine with us, especially since there was fresh brew coffee and all the fixings….
Awesomely decorated clean house and she thought of everything. Great location

Why they chose this property
Beautiful completely renovated early 1900's home with all the modern amenities as well as vintage pieces throughout. Small Town feel with access to city life. Most everything is with walking distance. So much history along with fun things to do with family. Splash park as well as a kayak launch is within walking distance. Park is mins away.
What makes this property unique
Love at first sight, I saw the amazing potential this house had. My husband questioned my sanity a little bit, but with a lot of hard work and love it is exactly as I knew it could be. I love seeing a house that at one point was full of love and life restored.
