About this property
Off-Grid Tiny Stargazing Home with Mountain views, Elevated Deck & Wi-Fi
Enjoy glamorous camping 1700 feet above sea level in this tiny house with panoramic views of the Catskill Mountains just 2.5 hours from NYC. Ideal for couples! This tiny house is one of 5 unique structures located on our 4 acre farm. There is basic unlimited Wi-Fi internet and wall mounted propane heater.
Newly constructed in 2021 the 140 square foot house contains a new queen foam mattress (a set of fresh clean towels, sheets, duvet and pillows.), 12 foot high ceiling with exposed wood beams, real pine wall planking, a large-tiny wooden deck and 10 windows with a view.
NOTE: Bathtub is now closed for the rest of 2024 (as colder temps are here). But you can still take a hot shower using the shower bag inside the tub in the cabin.
The space
Inside you'll find raised square dinning table, 2 white adjustable leather bar chairs, washing water tap (with sink to catch water), soap, barbecue cooking supplies, cooking basics (paper plates, silverware, napkins, wine glasses, mugs, basic spices etc.) and 4 gallon cooler pre-filled with frozen ice packs.
There is a brand new porta-potty 50 feet from your cabin for your personal use only.
In addition is a LED flashlight/ lantern with USB port for charging phones and battery powered candle lights that set a great mood and perfect lighting conditions for star gazing.
If you're here during a clear night, you will be dazzled in awe at how clearly you can see the Milky Way from our field.

About the host
Hosted by Stephen Pellicano

Hi. I'm Stephen. I began hosting guests in my New York home back in 2009. My first guests were two students from the Czech Republic who stayed one week. In 2010 I hosted 5 international students from Turkey. They were hosted for 3 months because they came to the America for a Work And Travel program and enjoyed working full time at the Zoom Flume Water park.
Then, after a 7 year break, in 2020 I jumped back into renting again. But this time not my house but a glamping barn retreat called the Sun Barn. It went so well, and with so much positive guest feedback, we opened 2 more glamp sites in 2021 and now offer a total of 5 unique stays.

Why they chose this property
I truly believe the grounds of my property have a positive vibe that people can sense. It’s very welcoming, as through the trees are saying, ‘Hello, guest. Breathe in our fresh air, relax, and have a splendid time.’
What makes this property unique
Being at such a high elevation, 1600 feet to be exact, offers spectacular mountain views. Speaking of spectacular, all one has to do is look up. At the end of the day experience a Picasso color filled sunset sky of purples, pinks, oranges and turquoise swirls. After dark, look up again and gasp in awe at how clearly you'll see the stars and Milky Way. No light pollution here and this particular area offers the cleanest air compared to anywhere else in New York State and the entire North East as shown by website windy.com.
