We stayed here for our trip into dc. We dont mind driving and was able to see alot along the way. The apartment was very clean and inviting. Close to anything you may need. The hosts were very accommodating and even offered us a different way into the apartment because of the snow. Had it claered up before we left for the day. Only one thing i would change would be to add some under the cabinet lights in the kitchen. But not a deal breaker. We definitely want to plan a trip in the fall and would stay here again without hesitation!
Clean and comfortable apartment with everything you need. Extremely dog friendly with a little garden area for pups. Nice neighborhood for dog walks. Lovely and kind hosts.
Host was super helpful and accommodating. Gave us great advice on where to go. Space was perfect for three adults and two small children. Super close to Harper's ferry and shepherds town. Can do it all from here.
Great stay, close to everything we needed. There was a minor issue and they went above and beyond to make it right. Gave them some tips on how to make things more baby family and they appreciated the ideas.
The first words out of my mouth when I walked in were “oh, this is nice!”. The place was spacious. Lots of natural light in the living room area, and cozy in the bedrooms. The little fenced in yard was perfect for our pup to relieve herself. The hosts even supplied baggies in case you forgot yours.
I rented this cozy place to spend some time with my partner, who was hiking the AT (Appalachian Trail), and one of her “tramily” members (trail family). The place was perfect for some RnR for them before heading back on trail. The apartment is a super easy 10 min drive in to Harper’s Ferry, the “halfway point “ town of the AT.
The host was responsive, respectful, and beyond accommodating!
All in all, a wonderful experience for everyone!
The apartment is lovely, the hosts are very accessible and the amenities are as described in the listing.
The beds are comfortable as well as the other furnishings.

Well, Nobody Died...
My best friend and I were disappointed at the host for this VRBO. When we arrived the beds had just the comforters in them and no sheets. We messaged the owner/host who apologized and removed the laundry in the laundry room, cleaned the bedding, and returned the basket of clean linens with a gift card to our doorstep. While I appreciate the gift card, I would have liked my bed made.
The owner had a nice fenced in yard that our dogs were not allowed to play ball in as they had to remain on our leashes. We were allowed a smaller fenced in area for our dogs to relieve themselves, but not much else could happen in this small space. Disappointing as my first message before booking said my terminal cancer friend and I were looking for a place our pups would be welcome.
We slept on very comfortable beds and headed to a breakfast restaurant suggested by the owner, but it smelled like cat urine, so we went elsewhere. Our dogs were kenneled, and we did not receive any negative information about them while gone. We came back after breakfast and took the dogs on the Appalachian trail. We had a nice hike of six miles with the dogs. Great location! When we returned at 8 pm, we kenneled the dogs and went to dinner. I received a message that my dogs were "going crazy", so I apologized and returned after fifty minutes. The dogs appeared fine.
The next day, the dogs were kenneled for as we went ziplining, and we did not receive any messages that they were loud. We had lunch and then returned to take the dogs kayaking for two hours. We came back for an hour, got ready for dinner, kenneled the dogs, and were accosted on the front lawn, yelled at, and told our dogs were "epileptic". The host was rude and treated us fifty year old women like children. The air conditioner was right above the entrance and muffled all sounds, so when we were asked, "Don't you hear them?" in reference to the dogs, we were offended. We, in fact, could not hear them. Our host asked if he was even allowed to live in his own house. (I think he has never kenneled a dog for an hour to step out to get food.) Our puppy and two year old dog did whine, which is typical of two dogs in a new place reacting to the owners dogs above and to the new environment. He was so rude, even accusing me of not telling him on the VRBO application that we were bringing dogs. However, the very first message I sent him was in specific reference to "pups". The owner came first, not us vacationers. 👎👎
All in all, my friend her 2 pups& I had a great stay here. Location to Harpers Ferry is good with a pretty drive there.Communication with owners, Kristi and Brenden was excellent. Love the new flooring ,Layout of the place and overall comfort.
For security reasons...Would recommend they have better outside lighting, Better lighting in the kitchen area, and a little house-number lighting for people arriving after sunset. Also, The base of the commode was not secured to the floor which made us feel a little uneasy. All very fixable items.
You will like staying here!
Perfect rental for families and their furry friends!
