This is a 2-story 12 bedroom and 12 bath duplex called Doctor's Orders and Doctor's Rx. It has 6 BR/6 BA on one side and 6 BR/6 Ba on the other side. One side is a mirror image of the other. On one side, there are 4 bedrooms upstairs and 2 downstairs. The layout is very functional and convenient for large gatherings, like family reunions, golf groups and weddings. It is located in a private community that has a distinct charm that sets it apart from other areas.

Here, in Long Bay Estates, you have the best of both worlds...a quiet relaxing atmosphere, but minutes away from all the entertainment and attractions Myrtle Beach is famous for. What really makes this house unique is the beach privacy offered to those who stay here. Ocean Blvd does not run through this area since MB State Park is on one side and a campground is on the other side. This is just an added benefit that allows for you to have your own private beach. You truly would not be disappointed by staying here.

The accommodations were very nice and as advertised. Could use beach chairs. A small investment but nice to have on premises. Great location and access to beach. House next door being renovated with work starting before 8 am. Not ideal.

College friends reunion

A beautiful duplex that is perfect for large groups. The decks make for incredible views of the ocean and the location is awesome! Having its own pool and being on the ocean made this the perfect setting for old friends to gather. I high recommend this place. The owner was super nice and helpful.

Best overall beach accommodations we’ve had in 25 years of SC beaches! Pristine beach just steps from the door…great decks…great kitchen…comfortable furnishings and room to gather our large group for eating, visiting, art projects, family games etc. Enjoyed having the pool as well as the beach.

Amazing house on the Ocean!

We had a great time at this house for our annual golf trip. Plenty of room for us all and the best view of any house we have rented. Would highly recommend staying here to anyone I know. Looking forward to coming back!

Perfect location!

This house has the perfect location! We could easily get to the more populated touristy areas but then came home to our own quiet beach. It was great! There were some small things in the house that needed fixing but it didn’t get in the way of us having a wonderful time. The property manager was easy to get ahold of and attempted to have issues fixed in a timely manner (no matter how minor they were). We would definitely stay here again!

Great access to beach

Property was great, pictures made it appear that it was larger than it was. Back deck chairs were very uncomfortable and hard. Swimming pool was great, access to beach was wonderful. Overall a good experience.

We really enjoyed our stay. The owner was very responsive to any problems encountered. (Very minor things). We loved being on the porches and the beach was GREAT, not crowded at all because of the residential area the house is in. The large crowd of people were close, but not in our space. It was nice having 6 bathrooms-1 for each bedroom. If you can make the beds work, this is for you.

Gorgeous oceanfront property

Our family group of 11 (10 adults and 1 child) truly enjoyed our time in this rental. There was plenty of room for all of us. We really liked that each bedroom had its own bathroom. The views from the lower and upper decks were beautiful! The property was in a quiet neighborhood but just a very short drive to local restaurants and shops. Our only recommendation that could make this rental any better, is more comfortable mattresses (some beds were rock hard and some were wore out with the centers dipping and sounded like popcorn popping every time we sat on them or barely moved while lying on them). We would definitely recommend this rental! It was very clean and had everything we needed!

Loved the location

Family loved the location and oceanfront property. Property was very dated with small tv’s, bathrooms are very small. Lots of stairs to enter the property. No elevator for older adults. All bedrooms had lots dust and dirt under the beds and behind the dresser. Second refrigerator was not cold enough and Ice Maker Ice had a funny taste. We made the best of it and had a good time because we all were together.

The location was beautiful, but the house......

Had a beautiful view of the beach. Owner neglected to tell us the house was being renovated. Woke up each morning to sawing, hammering and day long country music concert. Rooms much smaller than pictures indicated and house has some years on it. Showing wear and tear. Stairs, stairs and more stairs. Three flights to get into the house and two more to upper floor bedrooms. Worse yet, going out the entrance, there was no landing. The first step was a half step and was treacherous for children and adults. I'm surprised code would allow this. One night, owner inadvertantly activated the house alarm and it went off, scaring us half to death. Did not have code to turn it off. Took several minutes to contact her to have it deactivated. Not fun. Location is good, but I'd ask lots of questions before booking this house.

This is not a Cold Weather House

We enjoyed our stay but for the price we paid, we would expected a better property. The house could be better maintained. We stayed during a cold snap and the house heating system is very uneven. While some rooms were warm most where barley heated. We had the heat set on 75 and the house never got above 69. They have little signs above the thermostats stating never to set them under 70. The heating system is not able to get the house above 70, The living room was not usable without a sweater or blankets. This is a shame because it was our main meeting place in the house. You can feel the cold air coming through the front door and the sliding door does not retain heat. This could be easily resolved by weather stripping the front door and having a curtain or retractable shade over the sliding doors and window. The TV's were all old and need to be upgraded. $200 Walmart TV's would have been better. The shower heads look like they came with the house. That is a shame, because you can see they have taken time to upgrade other features in the house. If you have anyone who is not comfortable with steps, the best thing is to used the stairs in the back of the house. My 83 year old mother hand no problem going up and down them. Bottom line, would I rent again? Yes during the warmer months, but a big NO during the winter. This is a great house in a great neighborhood. I just wished they would have resolved some of these small issues to make it a 5 start rental.

Beautiful house

This was a beautiful house. Very convenient all around for 4 families and our softball daughters. Close to the fields but felt like we were at a resort. Enough space for us all. Maureen was super responsive to all my questions. Amazing views from the porch including tje view of horses on the beach. I would most certainly rent this house again.
