Island Wind condominiums is located on Okaloosa Island in Fort Walton Beach Centrally located and just minutes to the beach, this property gives guests easy access to restaurants, shopping, and local attractions. Just around the corner you will find restaurants such as Stewby's, Fubar Pizza, and AJ's seafood and Oyster Bar. Just down the road enjoy The Gulfarium, The Boardwalk, and The Okaloosa Island Fishing Pier. This unit is your ticket to paradise!

This 2 bedroom/1 bathroom property includes: A fully stocked kitchen for preparing meals, dining area, a breakfast bar, living room with TV, and private balcony. Two bedrooms, both with queen-size beds, and plenty of closet space. A full-size bathroom with shower/tub combination. A private balcony. No washer and dryer in unit.

We go the extra mile to make sure you are comfortable: Plenty of pillows on each bed along with extra sheets and blankets if needed. Plenty of bath towels and beach towels. Starter set of paper towels, toilet paper, trash bags, dishwasher soap, dish liquid, laundry detergent, bath soap, shampoo, and conditioner. All-purpose cleaner.

We have a pontoon boat that is rented exclusively to our guests. The boat needs to be reserved at least 24 hours in advance. The boat launches out of The Fort Walton Beach Yacht Basin.

Nice place right near the beach

Nice, clean condo less than 5 minutes walk from beach access and restaurants. Enjoyed ourselves and have recommended this place to family members.

Exactly what we needed

The property was very clean and only a 2 minute walk in either direction for public beach access. The curtains were all black out/thick, not that we slept in, but they block out street lights and neighboring building lights. It was exactly what we needed for a long weekend!

The condo was well furnished and well maintained. The amount of towels provided (bath, hand, and beach) was more than enough and much appreciated. Everything needed to cook if you so desire is there. Great job.

Very clean. Short walk to the beach. Plenty of supplies. Nice place. Would only recommend two things: more mirrors (there’s only the one in the bathroom) and more comfortable seating (just the small sofa & large dining table with not so comfortable chairs) … everything else was great!

Impeccably clean unit; easy walk to so much!

This property was a GREAT value and in a location that - if you are okay to take a flight of stairs and walk a mile or so - negated the need for a car. We were very pleased with this part of the peninsula and preferred it over Destin proper. I would hire the cleaning crew of this property in a heartbeat! The place was SO CLEAN. (Even if the outside left a bit to be desired.) The AC wasn’t crazy loud in the bedrooms, and the layout was nice. Honestly, you could fit 5 people in this unit, as the couch (though outdated) was large & comfy. Across the road is a hotel called Beal House with a restaurant called The Remedy that is awesome for breakfast!

The place was nice and clean. The location was great. Unfortunately the AC wasn't cooling down the place the whole time we were there. We did message them and they were quick to respond and sent someone out to look at it, but that didn't work. Luckily it was nice outside the whole weekend.

Carpet had a pet Oder smell, but everything was clean. Location was not clear from the pictures, but beach was very close. We had no clue how to get to the beach or where to go. Maybe add a page to your book explaining where to go and other options to get to the beach.

Quiet, convenient location

This property is exactly as it appears in the ad. It was clean, provided all the necessities as well as a few extras. It is an easy walk to the beach, it’s located in a very quiet complex, and has easy access to FWB or Destin. I recommend this property if you don’t need/desire a beach view from your room.

Quieter and nicer than might think

Property is right on 98, can be busy, which makes it very convenient to many things. You might expect the noise from the road to be loud but on the inside you would think you were the only person in town. Had some issues with the A/C but management was quick to respond. Took a second trip out to resolve issue. All in all, a nice trip.

Nice family friendly beach property for a peaceful vacation

Enjoyed our stay at this beautiful property, which was very close to the beach ( 3-4 min walk). We were a family of 4 who stayed there. The beds were very comfortable queen size. Plenty of linen and towels. If they had some beach chairs (along with the beach towels) that would have been great, but not a deal killer. The kitchen was well equipped. We played card games at the round dinner table. Loved it overall!!

Beach Trip

Property is what it says, clean and very good location with a 5 minute walk to the beach. Good beds and well stocked kitchen with utensils. The property could be improved with couple basic beach chairs that could also be used for sitting out on the balcony.
