Amazing stay for fall break with family. We had a group of 11 and had more than enough room. We wanted a place with beautiful views, right on the water where our boys could just fish and we didn’t need to leave for anything if we didn’t want to. This was just that place. It seemed like we had the whole island to ourselves— so quiet and peaceful. The ramp to the dock was halfway under water a bit but we made it work with a bit of maneuvering. Had fun with the kayak and paddle boards. We had the best weather too! Took a day to enjoy Yellowstone. The master bedroom has the most glorious views of the lake and I watched the sunrise each morning. Our teen and tween boys loved the large room + bathroom above the garage— I do have to say this looks like it’s the only space where the carpet and such hasn’t been updated. The rest of the cabin felt fresh and updated though. The only thing we wished we had in the kitchen was a really large skillet for cooking for big groups, but we made due with a few med size skillets. Julie was awesome and attentive and even allowed us to stay a bit later on checkout day because the cleanup crew was coming later than planned. It was nice to be able to take our time the day of checkout rather than feeling rushed. How thoughtful! We are already looking forward to coming back.
The place was beautiful ! The view was amazing!! A place to fish during the day and campfire at night. And so much more. Close to west gate Yellowstone 30 minute drive snd your in the park. As well several other National forest.
Secluded which was exactly what we wanted. So if your looking for the activity of a town or tourist this is not your place, so don’t rent and then complain !!! The house was well stocked. For all cooking needs. All the conveniences of my own home for all needs. The porch that overlooks the lake was just peaceful!!! Many of hours sitting and relaxing.
The hostess quickly responded to all my questions and as well cked in to see if there was anything needed.
All kind of board Games there for old time family fun , cook books and regular books , movies all there for your convenience which was great to be able to unplug from all electronic devices .
The 2 cons : which is by no means the hostess or owners fault.
The lake is real busy on the weekends so peacefulness and trying to fish is out of the question:
Hardly any cell signal. There was cell service but just a bar or two. But that’s what I mean about unplugging from the devices. Which was great for us.
Thank you so very much Julie for a wonderful family memories made in Idaho!!!!!
We enjoyed our stay at the property. Everything was great but the cleanliness of the home could have been a lot better. We had babies crawling around on the dirty floors, so we wished it was cleaner.
This property checked all our boxes and created a comfortable space for our 3 mini-families-within-a-family to share. As our family continues to grow, this will be an ideal spot to embrace fun in Island Park.
We had a wonderful time, kids said it was the best family trip we’ve been on. Cabin was great, felt like we were visiting “our” cabin vs renting from someone else. We hope to stay here again next summer (or maybe even again this summer!).
Our large extended family spent a wonderful two weeks at this picturesque lakeside property. The kids enjoyed the swimming and fishing off the dock along with day trips to Yellowstone and Grand Teton.
Great home for a big group!! My family stay here the second half of our week long vacation. The house fit our family perfectly. There is enough space and beds to allow each individual family a separate space, and a great area to come together for dinner and tv time. The neighborhood is very quiet and very secure with a gated entrance. Would definitely stay here again if we are ever in the area again. One tip- make sure to grocery shop before you arrive. There is only gas station stores located close by.
I can’t say how wonderful the owner was to communicate with. She worked so hard to make it a special place for us, and she definitely succeeded. Being on the river was fantastic and the main reason we chose this property. It was so well-equipped with everything a large family would need. We, also, loved how clean it was! The only draw-back was that you had to have a card to get into the property. With so many people coming and going, we only had two key cards, but fortunately the owner was able to find two more, which certainly helped. I would definitely suggest this property for anyone going to the Island Park area! Thank you very much for the wonderful stay!
Our family had a nice time at this cabin. We stay on Bills Island every summer, and this was our first time at this location. Pros: great layout and functional kitchen for family meals. Owner was very responsive and provided some nice extra amenities. Comfortable beds and lots of room to spread out Cons: owners apparently have a dog - there was an abundance of dog hair in the living area and the sliding door window was quite dirty. Close neighbors to the east, cabin could use some blinds or curtains on some of the windows. Dock area was a bit hard to access. Beautiful area and we had a great time!
