We really enjoyed our stay here. Nancy was a great host, super repsonsive and friendly. The house is very comfy, the neighborhood is great and we walked on the nearby trail a lot. Highly recommend.
Nancy was easy to communicate with before, during and after our stay. The location could not have been more convenient for visiting family, accessing food, shopping and walking trails.
This a cool property in a great location. Excellent for our 2 small poodles. Fenced and secure yard in great walking neighborhood. Home is well appointed and comfortable.
Fantastic find! This place and location made my husband feel like he was in vacation! The attention to details made this feel like you were staying at a friends house! Very well done!!!
Place was clean and as advertised. Good yard to take the dogs out. My only complaint is you are unable to change the thermostat, which is locked at 75.
Had a wonderful and relaxing stay at Nancy’s home. Nice neighborhood to walk around with our dog. Nancy was very accommodating and checked in on us to make sure everything was ok.
If we are ever in the area again, would definitely try to stay at her home.
Was able to book the house for one night, which was great for a last minute night out. Great house and great location to all things to do in the Heights. Will definitely book again!
This property was wonderful and had everything we needed for a comfortable with my spouse and our dogs. We needed a comfortable place to stay after our power went out from Hurricane Beryl and this place was perfect for it! Nancy was very communicative and attentive to making sure we had anything we needed.
Highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to stay in a great place in a great location.
The house was perfect for our family of 3. The location is great, with restaurants, coffee shop, a playground, and more all within walking distance. We appreciated the kitchen with everything we needed to cook, the comfy furniture, big yard, and clear communication with the owner. A special touch was white noise machines in the bedrooms. The neighborhood was very quiet, but as a family who always travels with white noise for our son, it was appreciated. Thank you!
This property was cozy from the moment you walk in. It has all the charm of old infrastructure and the decor really tied it all together. My family and I enjoyed all of the amenities the house had to offer and should we find ourselves in the area again, we hope to stay here.
Very comfortable home and fantastic location! We were staying in the area for almost 3 weeks and found this home to be a good fit for us. We had our pup with us and had easy access to a trail, Heights Blvd., and a bike path near the home as well as a fenced in back yard. The house had great interior spaces and was comfortably furnished for working, dining, lounging, and watching movies. We hope we can stay there again the next time we visit Houston.
Cute, clean, comfortable! This is great house. It’s a good size, clean and very comfortable. The neighborhood is safe and convenient. Walking distance to running/biking path, great restaurants and shopping. Pet Friendly and the hosts are awesome to work with. We will definitely be back here
Very cute vintage home in trendy area of Houston. Great central location. Host was fantastic. House was clean and well-stocked. Dog friendly…the owner provided a dog bowl and treats. It is a vintage home, so expect both the charm and the imperfections that some with such a home. We would definitely stay again.
Really great if you prefer a home to a room when you’re visiting!
We have stayed at this little Heights bungalow twice. It is perfectly located for those who like to be able to walk to restaurants, shops, galleries parks, bars or coffee shops. Even more perfect if you want to bring your pup along with you…because you can when you stay here! And there is also a completely fenced back yard with a deck and outdoor seating. Cute, comfortable, clean and slightly bohemian… 519 Allston definitely feels like your little home in the Heights for as long as you’re there! Would absolutely stay there again.

not ideal
Honestly feel kind of misled by the pictures and the reviews of this property. The beds are absolutely terrible (especially the king). Beds are completely different than pictures. They are creaky, uncomfortable, and very cheap sheets/comforters/pillows.
The house is SQUISHED in between the two houses on either side - lots of noise - and one of the neighbors has SEVERAL NOISY ROOSTERS. also close to an apt complex dog park which made for loud barking and dog fighting throughout the day.
House was clean and host responsive - just not as comfortable as I was hoping/expecting.
This property is centrally located easy to get to off main highway nice neighborhood had a relaxing stay

About the host

Hi y'all!
I grew up around Houston, did my undergrad studies in Austin and came back home since HTX is where my heart is.
I just love HTX as it is a melting pot of many cultures, personalities and interests. As a foodie, there is a never-ending list for good eating here.
I’m a low key traveler and often use Airbnb when visiting new cities and countries. So I am thrilled to be able to return the favor and be a great host!
