Riverside Escape - Riverfront Home on 1 acre

Riverfront Vacation Home has 2 Bedrooms and 2 Full Bathrooms with Air Conditioning and Wi-Fi, located on one full acre on the Wally Road Scenic Byway. Back yard features private stone beach on the Mohican River, perfect for launching/landing of your own canoes, kayaks, or tubes. Easy access to the water allows for fishing, swimming, or river sitting while watching others play in the water. We are located just 2 miles downriver from Mohican Adventures and 3.2 miles from the main entrance to Mohican State Park. Enjoy spending your days by the river or hiking at the park and relaxing evenings around the fire.

We Sleep 8 in beds, including pull out couch. 8 people is our absolute maximum, preferably 6 Adult maximum.

House Bath: Shower, Sink, Toilet

Shower House: Shower, Sink, Washer/Dryer, Toilet

Kitchen: Dining table for 6-8, Refrigerator, Range/Oven, Microwave, Dishwasher, Standard Coffee Maker and Keurig Coffee Maker, Blender, Crock Pot, Toaster, several pots and pans. Dinnerware and cutlery to accommodate 8 people.

Porch with view of river: 44” polywood table with 4 chairs. Extra seating along built-in bench on house.

Outside Amenities: Propane BBQ with Propane Provided, Riverside Fire Ring, cornhole, camping chairs.

The Security Deposit of $250 is a hold, not a charge, on your Credit/Debit Card from a day before check-in until 7 days after checkout. Your card is only charged if I claim damage during that timeframe. If I do not claim damage during that timeframe, the hold will be automatically released from your card on the 7th day after checkout. Since the card account is not technically charged, just held, the hold that you see on your online statement may just disappear instead of showing as a credit. I will always contact you to discuss any damages prior to charging your card. Please ignore any other posts that states we will collect the security deposit at the house. This is inaccurate and there is currently not an option to remove that language. Sorry for any confusion.

Great Spot

Our top choice when staying near Loudonville

We've stayed at this property multiple times as we travel to this area a few times a year. There is a reason we keep coming back! The property is nice, clean, and in a perfect location. We love having the Mohican River right in the back yard.

Nice Property Along the River, Close to Park

We enjoyed our stay. The river is peaceful and the yard is big enough for the dog to run around in unleashed (though there are no fence barriers). The house is small but very clean and with nice furniture and new fixtures. Great laundry room with extra shower. We stayed in winter and the heat was excellent with separate controllers for main room and bedrooms (ditto a/c though we didn’t use it). There’s not a huge amount of closet space but for two of us it was fine. It’s very close to great trails in Mohican State Park and to Loudonville and services, but felt more remote. Communications with the host were excellent, Drew was very responsive and great to talk to on the phone. I recommend this cottage!

Riverside relaxation

Property interior was clean and the location on the river and near the state park were perfect. Had a relaxing weekend of hiking and sitting by the fire. High likelihood we'll stay there again.

Lovely Mohican Getaway

The house was just beautiful and very clean. The view of river was great and we enjoyed the fire pit. The kitchen was well stocked and it was easy to cook. We would definitely consider another stay. Fall was beautiful, but it would also be really fun in the summer.

Property great despite bad timing of trip

The property is very clean and has great access to the river. Bad timing as the remnants of hurricane had it rain our whole stay but we were still able to enjoy some hiking in the area. Nice covered patio, nice sized backyard and fire pit by river would have been great to enjoy but maybe next time. No issues with finding property as host had good directions and notes about entry and tv. Would definitely recommend this property. I am sure it is beautiful when leaves change as that area is very scenic. Also would be fun destination in summer to enjoy playing or floating in the river. Great stay overall.

Girls trip

We had a wonderful stay. It was so nice to be on the river. The house was spotless and well-appointed. The beds were so comfortable and we all slept well. We enjoyed playing games on the covered porch and fires beside the river. We found some nice antique stores in Mansfield. Drew was quick to reply to my questions. We will definitely be back!

Clean spacious house with an amazing yard and View!

We took a friends group trip to the river and were not disappointed in this house! Amazing deck, yard and view of the river. We enjoyed the direct access to river along with the fire pit near by! Highly recommend to anyone looking for a clean house with river front property. We will be back!

Excellent vacation spot!

Wish we could have stayed longer. You will not be disappointed with this rental. Accurate photos and listing. Perfect spot — on the river and close to amenities but quiet and relaxing. Clean, updated and complete with linens, and plenty of kitchen supplies. We will DEFINITELY return!

Mohican Getaway

We enjoyed the property right on the Mohican River. Our boys were able to play and hang out in the river, and it was a very scenic view from the porch and firepit. The house was in a good location, making it easy to get to Mohican or Loudonville as needed. The property was as advertised, and we would stay there again if we decide to come to Mohican.

Perfect place will visit again

Myself and some friends were visiting for an annual long weekend trip. Its a great place for all occasions. The river is right on the property to have some fun with a great fire pit near by. The house is far enough away from the river where if you want some peace and quiet you can get it. Or you can sit near the rover and converse with the rafters. The house was very spacious and clean. Will visit again next year.

Needed More Time

Our ONLY complaint with the whole trip is that we didn’t book a longer stay. Our crew consisted of my in-laws, my parents, mums husband, our two kiddos (7 and 9), and our 2 year old golden retriever. This is where my son chose to go for his 9th birthday instead of having a party. The location was perfect and there were so many things to do to stay busy in the area but also just enough leisurely things to do at the property to make it hard to choose. By far everyone’s favorite thing was sitting around the fire then going to splash in the river. The hosts supplied chairs and corn hole boards so that saved us a ton of cargo space. The property was super clean and so peaceful. We ended our last evening sad about leaving so we decided to start checking our calendars to see if we could sneak in another trip before we go back to school.

Memorial Day Weekend Getaway

The only thing we had an issue was, was finding the place. We guessed it was the correct property by process of elimination, but after that, every thing was easy peasy. I am really glad there were written out instructions since we lost service right when we turned onto Wally Rd. The back porch was perfect for when it rained and just night time hang outs. It was also super fun to see all the people in the river! The view was awesome.

Riverside Stau
