Everything was wonderful and Mackenzie catered to our needs. She is a super hostess. Loved walking around her property and enjoyed Dixie and Daisy her goats!
Excellent Facilities. The Hostess was most gracious and easy to talk with. The home was a beautiful cabin on a large quiet property close and convenient to town and attractions. The food was excellent and the furnishings top shelf.
We highly recommend Dakota Dream to all travelers.
The online pictures of Dakota Dream Ranch are not as nice as the real thing. MacKenzie and her daughter were MOST FABULOUS hostesses. Breakfasts were wonderful, the lodge looked and smelled beautiful and far exceeded our expections. MacKenzie even let us upgrade our room upon arrival. Out of all of the places we stayed in South Dakota, this was the VERY BEST!
Quaint Property nestled on the edge of Custer SD . The Host is the owner. We found her to be responsive , knowledgeable , and genuine ! If need a quite retreat or a place to launch from , give the place a try. J&M
We had a truly wonderful and rewarding time in Custer, SD because we stayed at Dakota Dream BnB! Simply lovely place and location and Mackenzie is as caring a host as we have enjoyed in our many travels. Don’t miss this place if you go to The Dakota’s
The property is very well kept, everything we needed was provided and any questions we had were answered promptly. The host was attentive and provided a wonderful, delicious breakfast! The room we stayed in was comfortable and clean. There were games available from dominos to a ring game outside for adults or kids. Would highly recommend to anyone wanting a place to stay that is near many attractions. If I had brought my kids with me, I'm sure this would have been a favorite stop for them. Thanks for making our short stay a great one!
The experience was great. Before hand, the owner let us know that her daughter had the flu & she was worried about spreading it you’d. She said she would give us an upgrade if we could get our own breakfast. Not only did she up grade us, but she did get us breakfast as well. She was great!
This property is in an amazing location just a few minutes away from town. The house was gorgeous and clean, it was everything we could’ve asked for in a South Dakota getaway! The hostess was kind and made us feel at home, thank you!! She also made us a glorious breakfast !
This place does not disappoint. Even prettier in person than the pictures. Every detail gives you a feel of a luxe log cabin. Would definitely recommend to friends and family.
I decided on a last minute weekend getaway and stumbled upon the Dakota Dream BNB, and it was indeed a dream. Just a few miles away from Custer State Park, and many other great attractions, the location was perfect. Nestled in the woods outside of town, the setting was beautiful and relaxing. No detail has been overlooked from the authentic cabin feel, cool decor, comfy bed, soft and sweet smelling towels, I felt instantly at home. The vibe at Dakota Dream is all peace and love, and the owner was friendly, helpful, and a genuinely lovely person, Be sure not to miss breakfast, because Mackenzie's breakfast is a delicious way to start the day! I can not wait to return!
We had a short 2-night stay and wish we could have stayed longer! Mackenzie is super welcoming and friendly! Her breakfast was excellent, too! The property is quiet and beautiful and the accommodations were perfect. And my 6’3” husband slept so well in the comfy bed. 😀
