This house is a 1940's home with wide plank floors. The furnishings are a blending of modern and beach vibe uncluttered with ceiling to floor curtains with blinds throughout. The stove in the kitchen is a wedgewood and is original to the home. There are two bedrooms both have in window air conditioning for our warmer times of the year as well as the living room.
The back yard is fenced and has green turf. The yard is a modest oasis with lounge seating with a fountain as well as additional seating. There are succulents and flowers growing in flower boxes and the tomatoes growing in a horse trough may be ready to harvest as well as an herb box. This location is walkable or bike able to local restaurants and bars. Farm to table is gaining popularity and you can walk or ride to a few near by.

Loved the vintage home. The gas stove was fantastic for cooking our holiday meal. The host has everything you would ever need or want and then some for having a home away from home vaca. Beds super comfy. Back yard was perfect for the grandkids to run around and jacuzzi with their Dad. Warm, and cozy house. Highly recommend to anyone for romantic get away or family gathering
Clean, homey little house tastefully decorated and very comfortable. We spent lots of time in the Great backyard space which was perfect for us and our dog too! Looking forward to our next visit.
Cynthia’s home was in a very quiet neighborhood not far from everything we wanted to do and close to some really great restaurants. She was also very communicative and check in/out was a breeze.
My daughter and I were in town for two nights. This was the perfect property, great location, and great hospitality from our host. Communication was great, check in process smooth, we will definitely stay again.
Cynthia has made sure her guests have everything they need to enjoy their stay at their fingertips. We lacked for nothing. The amenities provided were generous and the house was spotless. We enjoyed a day out at local wineries and a superb meal at The Bird and Bottle in SR. Wow! Fab day! At night we gathered in the yard to further our wine research and enjoy the gorgeous weather and then we moved in to watch tennis in the lounge. Just awesome. If we find ourselves back nearby again, we will definitely book with Cynthia again.❤️
I enjoyed my stay at this house a lot. The neighborhood’s mostly quiet and minutes away from downtown Santa Rosa. Drive a little further and you’re within range of excellent wineries in the Sonoma and Russian River valleys. There’s also a nice back yard for relaxing, a well-appointed kitchen, and comfortable living room. The air conditioning units, though a bit noisy, did a great job of keeping the place cool. I’ll definitely come back next time I’m staying in wine country.
Close to all great restaurants. Quiet neighborhood and nicely decorated space. We are looking forward to our next visit.

About the host
Hosted by Cynthia Larkin
Iv'e been a hair dresser for most of my life. As a second career I began working with dogs. I became very fond of the bully breeds and started up a rescue call Bully Dog Planet and did this for 18 years. My daughter and her family live in Chicago and I visit there often and stay at this house part time. Living here part time allows me to upgrade and maintain my property for my guests.
Why they chose this property
When I first moved to this area I looked around a lot and fell in love with this district. I choose this area as I love older homes and closer to everything.
