Very cute and cozy home. Enjoyed the fire pit outside. Hot tub wasn’t working because of a recent storm but that was no big deal. We spent most of our time exploring. Will definitely stay again.
Good experience overall. Biggest concern was that there are a lot of small square windows in the home facing the street side, some of which have no window coverings. I used pillows stuffed into the windows that were at the level of the bed to create privacy in the master bedroom but had no way to cover those windows in the living space. Both propane tanks were empty, but since it was raining and very cold not a huge loss. Used the hot tub one night and that was nice. Fireplace was nice but there was some problems with smoke getting in the house, despite visual confirmation the flue was open. Keeping doors to fireplace shut helped. I loved the location- close to town but felt like I was in a forest. Kitchen was fully stocked and had extras like ziplocks and coffee. Very clean. Would suggest a more substantial deck covering than the small tarp since it rains so much. The deck and outdoor space is lovely but not fully usable in the rain. Property manager was responsive and helpful
We chose to stay at this property because of the proximity to Jedidiah State Park and prior reviews. When we arrived we found the cabin/house to be clean and cozy. After a long day of exploring the Redwoods we settled down to a fire and some TV. We really enjoyed our time and found our short trip to be relaxing.
My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon trip and we had the absolute best vacation ever. It’s conveniently located in the middle of everything, tucked away nicely so you have privacy, the property itself was beautiful, and we had everything we needed. 10/10 already planning the next trip!
It would have been more enjoyable if it was summer! Especially the hot tub in the backyard was great since the backyard is the part of redwood forest. We couldn't use it since it was cold. Clean and beautiful, but it feels smaller than the pictures posted. The bedroom on the rooftop is so cramp. The windows without shades in the bedroom bothered me. No shampoo provided. Overall great property!
Terrific place to stay. We enjoyed the nearby State Parks and then coming back to our place that felt like it was nestled in the woods. Since we had been traveling for a few weeks, it was nice to cook our dinners in. Thanks for a great stay.
Great location for us. Either going hiking to see the redwoods or to the beach close to it all! Would definitely stay at this home again. Very comfortable.
This was our first trip to the California Redwoods, and the accommodations were fantastic! The home was as-described, and the owner reached out to me as soon as I booked the location to answer questions I had. We were very happy to call this location home-base for the week, and I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a safe, welcoming place to stay!
The road that the VRBO is on was lined with beautiful Redwoods! What a welcome to the area and VRBO. The VRBO was very clean, nicely decorated, and our favorite part was the hot tub after a day of exploring! The owner was very responsive. I highly recommend this VRBO!
The property was exactly like the pictures and description. The property manager was quick to respond. Great place to land for an overnight with my family. They had COFFEE!! This is a huge thing when traveling with teens, lol. Thank you!!!
The property was nice. The photos led us to believe we would be a bit more secluded but we were not. A stones throw away in either direction is some body elses house or property. The actual home was cozy and perfect size for the three of us. You do get a feeling your being watched however. Wether it be the ring doorbell out front or the fact that they dont have blinds on all of the windows including the master bedroom. If you can get over the voyeur feeling its amazing! The hot tub was nice to sit in while it rained and the wood fireplace felt amazing inside after a day in the drizzling redwoods.
My sons and I stay for a night at the end of a road trip. The home is very inviting and just as described! My sons loved the loft bed and nautical decorations. We would have enjoyed a longer stay!
As 2 adukt friends, the bedrooms were not as expected. Master was large and fine. 2nd was a pull out futon...not easy to pull out, unmade. Pad was ok but.. no closet or space to hang anything nor space off floor to set items. Very small, low ceiling loft would have been very hard to climb up to, sit ip in, etc.
Location fine, not far from the city. No place to take a walk from.
Very clean and cozy. We weren't at the house often because of how much there was around the house to do and see. But, my daughter loved the loft room and the hot tub. My boys are a little harder to please but they enjoyed the stay too! Definitely worth the price and we will be back.
This was the perfect place to stay while exploring the redwoods and the coast! We enjoyed the hot tub after long days of hiking. The property was clean, well maintained, and had everything we needed.
We are a family of 3, including an active 11yr old. We had an amazing time. We were looking to decompress and enjoy the Redwoods. We were able to do just that. Boys loved the hot tub. It felt like home. Everything I needed was there and more. Thank you for having us.
Had lovely two nights at this little gem of a place in the Redwoods. Perfect location, clean, and quaint with all of the amenities we needed. Would not hesitate to return. Thank you for the lovely stay.
