Comfortable and great view in the mornings. Fishing was great in port mansfield and at night with the lighted pier available. Would definitely come back.

Ruined
Ok... ruined....got a fine at 330 in the morning from a game warden that walked onto my pier...stating that he had been watching us fish for hours...then the he stated that he was yelling at us from two Piers down and claimed that we didn't acknowledge him??...we did not see nor hear him in any form or fashion..he then grabbed my brothers ice chest without permission opened it up ... clearly knowing my brother had put legal sized trout he had caught in there ..he had a license to fish but was expired...we had small croaker cut up that we were using for bait...I told him I had caught them after telling him i had no fishing license and was under the understanding that a fishing license wasn't necessary being that it was a rental property with a private pier....

No communication regarding check in availability. I had to text to ask if the home was ready, tried being patient waited till about 5:30 pm before requesting instructions . We arrived and yard had trash, the barbecue pit was dirty, dirty dishes and utensils on picnic table. The master bath tub was clogged, the living room tv kept freezing. We notified via text with person in charge of the rental, response was “ Oh no! To both of those. I can't get maintenance out tonight but first thing in the morning yes. Would you like me to come see if I can get it unclogged tonight? ”. Being that it is late I said no to that night, but no one showed up at all through the end of the stay. The day of check out I received messsge they would go by and clean the pit and clean the property for us, 🤔. While on the road home I was texted regarding the house key which I explained was hanging on the wall. I was then asked how I had locked the deadbolt, I explained I had not. Whom ever is responding to the issues regarding the property then wanted to go on a back and forth and debate. No professionalism at all. I was even asked “if I had an issue “ I was told I was rude for defending what I knew I had done for a fact.Later in the afternoon that person responded that the cleaning crew had locked the deadbolt and apologized. I manage a hotel and would never treat a guest this way.As for the property well for the money you pay you would think they would at least have minimal supplies
This is a great place if you like to getaway from the big city. The house is clean and has plenty of room for families. Wi-Fi was great for streaming. The best part was the pier. It was newly built, had running water to the fish cleaning station, and had white and green lights (above water). At night specs and sandies were popping non stop. We caught loads of them. The only downside to the area is there is no store in town. If you need anything you have to drive about 25 minutes to Raymondville. Overall great place.
