Entering this private mountain oasis, you will be overwhelmed with the natural beauty of the secluded valley which is now your own private retreat. The Lodge and accompanying Bunkhouse offer 11 beautifully appointed bedrooms, large living rooms, a library, gourmet kitchen, wrap-around porches, stone patios, and an indoor exercise facility.

This luxurious Lodge is best suited for small corporate retreats, group & church leadership retreats, intimate weddings, family getaways, and the like who are looking for a high-quality environment to conduct gatherings. We offer help with itinerary development & local recommendations. Special events are allowed on property with an event agreement and an additional event charge.

***Please note that our nightly base rate is based on 15 people. For each additional guest there is a per person per night fee of $85 up to 25 maximum guests.***

Lodge: Two king suites plus six deluxe bedrooms each with its own en-suite bath. The Lodge also contains a gourmet kitchen, indoor exercise room, small library with fireplace, dining and living space with fireplace, and a media room perfect for meetings.

Bunkhouse: One king room; two combination bunkrooms each with a queen bed and bunkbeds. More than just bedrooms, the Bunkhouse is a fully furnished home with a full-size kitchen, living and dining space, and furnished porch with charcoal and gas grilles.

Walnut Grove is a 280-acre retreat. We make every effort to meticulously maintain the dwellings, pavilions, fields, gravel roads, hiking trails, ponds, patios and lushly landscaped areas, all for enjoyment of our guests. As well, we are a working farm with crops and laying hens. This requires that staffing is typically on the property at all times to ensure our guests have the highest quality experience in a beautiful natural setting. We make every effort to have our property management greet your party to welcome you, orient you to the property, and show you how to use the audio and other systems!

Outstanding accommodations for our Family Reunion

This is a 5 Star experience. The property managers met us and immediately made us feel welcomed to the exquisite lodge and property. The accommodations are impeccable including the gourmet kitchen and outside kitchen. The grounds included so many activities for adults and children. The new pickle ball courts were a favorite.

A Fantastic Large Family Trip

We had so much fun during our 7 day stay and were definitely "wowed" by this property. We do this every year and this is the best stocked VRBO we have ever rented. We enjoyed all the amenties too as we hiked, played tennis and pickleball, fished, played frisbee golf, cornhold and sat by the fire every evening. It was just the best. You won't be sorry, I can promise you that. Now, can someone tell me what mattresses you use as I want one for at home!!!

This was perfect for our work retreat. The space is large enough to accommodate several working meetings at one time and that each room in the main house has its own bath was a definite plus. All the information in the guidebook was so helpful for facilitating meals. We will do this again!

Best weekend Office retreat

We absolutely love this property and the high end details. Weather would never be an issue here bc there is so much to do. We really appreciated how beautifully appointed the home was for every guest and every bedroom and bathroom was amazing. Heidi and Dee were absolutely wonderful to work with and went out of their way to make our stay perfect! We 100% recommend this property for groups and will be back!

101st Birthday Celebration

Wonderful property. Exceeded expectations. Considering the rain from Hurricane Helene, we couldn't take advantage of the outdoor facilities. However, some did the trails in the rain. Staying inside was very comfortable and even sitting on the porch was delightful as was fully covered. Outstanding kitchen. All the family agreed would come back for another family gathering.

We chose this property for a decade celebration of our 60th - close friends and classmates. Everyone had their own room and bathroom and the grounds and accommodations were like a resort. Heidi and Dee met us at the property and were available throughout. Free eggs (from chickens nearby) and an amazing charcuterie board! Icemaker! S'mores kit, work out room, views to die for. Fishing and finished pickleball and tennis courts.

My family and I have contracted with property owners from Vail, Savannah, Orlando, and other places in the US. The staff at Walnut Grove is THE most attentive of all the properties we've visited to date. The property is truly amazing. While the location may not be as glamorous as Vail, the affordability of this property is a huge plus. The pictures only tell part of the story. The attention to detail in all the activities was first class. And the surprise of a disc golf course on the property was a bonus. My family is ready to get on this ride again. What a Perfect Getaway Spot

There were about 25 or so of us who got to experience the Lodge at Walnut Grove. To say it was above and beyond and completely exceeded our expectations would still be an understatement. The place was spectacular and immaculate. Every detail and amenity accounted for. We were there for a songwriting retreat, and apart from the ample space that we had, it also was simply inspiring because of the sheer beauty that we were surrounded by. We truly truly loved getting to stay here and enjoyed everything about it - start to finish. Thank you so much for creating such a wonderful place for people to stay in.

Fantastic place to stay

Our family had the best stay at The Lodge at Walnut Grove to celebrate a 75th birthday. The home was beautifully decorated and stocked with way more than we expected, inside and outside. We have nothing but good things to say about our stay and can't wait to visit again with our huge family.

Amazing property!!

I brought my office here for a fall retreat and it was amazing. This property surpassed all other VRBOs I’ve ever stayed at. The attention to detail and proactive approach to stocking the house with items we may need was impressive. I had plans to do things in town but didn’t leave all weekend. We spent a ton of time at the outdoor fire place…it was easy since wood is delivered everyday. The quiet, relaxing luxury was exactly what I was looking for and that is what we got. Heidi did a great job communicating with me for check in/out. I will definitely be staying again in the future.

The most amazing place to stay for a work trip!

The house is amazing! They think of every detail from the comfort of the rooms, individual bathrooms, keurig in each room. We were there for a budget camp so the work space was amazing. Also the kitchen is full equipped with everything you could need. If you have an issue their response time is impeccable. We are already booking again for next year!

Incredible Experience for our Family and Friends

Our stay at The Lodge at Walnut Grove was truly memorable. The Lodge was immaculate, with exemplary attention to detail throughout the property. The craftsmanship is stunning and the furnishings are luxurious, creating a comfortably elegant and adventurous experience for our family and friends. We hiked all the trails, played in the creek, and used the grill, smoker and fireplace! The kitchen was a dream for our family and made it so easy to create a fun, easy-going atmosphere for our vacation. The property managers were easy and prompt to communicate with and attentive to our family. We highly recommend The Lodge at Walnut Grove to anyone wanting to create a special experience in the mountains of North Georgia. We can't wait to return!
