The quietness of the community along with the close location to restaurants and water events makes this the perfect location. The Hostess was the best and most accommodating of any yet. I will be back
Owner was engaging and checked in through our 2 week stay. The only issue was wish the pool was warmer so the kids could play more in it. Our 40 year olds took the 10 year old out and they saw manatees every time. Great location for restaurants and nature areas.
Location of this rental was perfect. Access to the water for kayaking was very convenient. The only 2 down sides were one of the mattresses in the bedroom on the main floor is in need of replacement Very uncomfortable to sleep on. The other is the floor didn’t seem to be moped as we had an infant crawling around and his clothing and knees were very dirty. Other than that had a great time!
We had a nice visit in Crystal River. Lots of things to do and we timed it perfectly for the manatees. Annie was very good about getting back with me on any questions that I had.
The property and location were incredible. You could launch your kayaks just across the road and paddle as far as you wanted to. Lots of cool bars and restaurants nearby. The manatees are a must see if you’re there between December and February. Overall a five star vacation. Thank you so much!!
This was a great place to spend a week. The home is beautiful and the water views are even better. Owner was very helpful with recommendations for the area. Would definitely stay again.
We loved the house and Annie was so very helpful to our stay. Any questions were answered within a few minutes
I would recommend this house for multi family stays.
This was a lovely property with plenty of room for 5 adults and a toddler to spread out. The kitchen and living area was spacious. The host Annie was wonderful. Annie decorated for the holidays and we even had a Christmas tree. Annie was very responsive to our texts and extremely helpful. Crystal River is a great location for families. Quiet and peaceful at the house with plenty of restaurants and family activities nearby. Threes Sisters State Park was amazing, the manatees were in abundance during our stay.
The house was very cleaned and detailed. Had everything you could think of in the kitchen, plenty of pool towels, one of the best VRBO home I have ever stayed in
This was a finally family holiday to Crystal River after having had our own holiday home there for many years.
The property was excellent and as described, felt like being at home, very relaxing, had everything we needed as a family of 6, pool was lovely, great location and wonderful hosts who were available when needed and very helpful.
Would definitely recommend this property and would book again if visiting Crystal River in the future.
A great time was had by all
Thank you so much Annie
Great property for large families. Pool had an issue the 1st couple of days, but was sorted quickly. Owner maintained communication throughout our stay. Very glad we chose this property to come back to after our daily kayaking adventures.
The owners are very friendly and accommodating. The home is spacious and very nice. We enjoyed our stay very much!

About the host

My veterinarian husband and I have owned three animal hospitals and I am a radio host and author. My early years were spent living in hotels, and that inspires me to always to provide the best in service to guests. I want your stay to be memorable for the right reasons! I am English by birth but American by choice However, I will NOT give up my love for English tea and there will always be some available for any Anglophiles. As a proud Granny I want to make a family vacation as easy as possible and can provide cribs, monitors and child utensils as well as games, books and toys for down time. NIne years ago we came to Crystal River and fell so in love with it that we have even commuted back and forth to Orlando to work. The people are wonderful, the choices for restaurants and bars fabulous, but, most of all it's a place where you can switch the phone off, take a deep breath and get in tune with nature again. Crystal River is now our permanent home so we are very much available if you need help with recommendations or anything else to make your stay more comfortable. We have a love of fishing and scalloping and are happy to help find you a captain to help you catch your dinner.
Why they chose this property
It's everything that sums up Florida, family and vacation! We fell in love with this house the moment we saw it. Enjoy beautiful views and wonderful porches where you can so easily imagine yourself sipping early morning coffee while contemplating nature at it's best and most unspoiled. The inside is very open and spacious. The kitchen is a dream, and there are lots of private nooks and crannies where you can sneak away to read a book. The pool is enclosed in a modern screen room and has a cute little table in the pool to rest your beverages while in the water. The grounds simply scream tropical and are huge, fully fenced, and perfect to have an informal game of corn hole, horse shoes or volley ball. Talk into the night while sitting around the large fire pit before you enjoy a restful night ready for tomorrows adventures. The property is very well placed to bring your boat, with a sea wall opposite as well as a close kayak launch.
What makes this property unique
Superb positioning on Kings Bay. Watch manatees from the front porch. Close to restaurants and amenities. Just minutes away by car to the famous Three Sister and Hunter Springs you could also paddleboard or kyak in about thirty minutes. Generally speaking if you wish to swim with the manatees you are best to go on one of the official tour boats which abound. Two hours driving to Central Florida's attractions, Tampa or the famous Gulf Shore Beaches. The immediate area has access to the Gulf for grouper or red snapper fishing, tarpon, snook, red fish and of course scalloping. Bear in mind there are limits and regulations on all these. There are several boat ramps within minutes and you can tie up opposite the property on a sea wall. Go to the FWC website for details. And don't forget YOU WILL NEED A LICENCE! Also able to do this easily online at the FWC website www.myfwc.com
