This was our second stay here and loved it just as much as our first stay! Plenty of space for our family of four. Short walk down to the lake - room for our ski boat at the dock. Thanks for a great stay!
Well Kept, very clean, nice little restaurant had a wonderful breakfast, friendly owners. We had a wonderful stay. It would be great for fishing and kayaking during the summer! I went during winter the view was beautiful!
We had a great time. Cabin was comfortable. We enjoyed the lake. Even had dinner one night outside on the deck at the resort restaurant. We will be back.
We enjoyed our time here. Very quiet. The public dock was steps away. The restaurant close by was closed, so we had to go into town for food as we thought we’d just eat there. Closed Mondays and Tuesdays. Shelton has some cute places to visit. The Wilde Irish Pub had excellent fish and chips and a full bar. But a lot of shops and restaurants are also closed Monday and Tuesdays. The bathtub in the primary bedroom didn’t have a water spout for a bath, which was odd. But the shower worked fine. Everything was very clean and comfortable!
Loved the cabin. Only one issue. Need to either supply more than one role of TP or let incoming party know they need to bring some themselves. Other than that I will be booking future stays with this property.
Cabin 3 was quite spacious, with everything needed for a relaxing stay. We booked for our wedding anniversary with plans to explore the Olympic Peninsula and have some down time. Lake Nahwatzel was a great pick, since it allowed us to explore both the Pacific side of the park/forest, as well as the eastern side. The restaurant was also a nice surprise. They had a great variety of options and the service was very friendly. Unlike a lot of small towns, the staff didn't make you feel like an outsider. On the contrary, Tanya, Warren, and the rest of the team were incredibly accommodating. One thing to note: Lake access is extremely limited. There's a very narrow path down to the dock (between two private properties) and a public access area that's no bigger than a boat launch and another small dock. If you plan on fishing, you'll probably want to bring/rent a boat. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and hope to come back.
The property is beautiful and well maintained. We used it for a weekend getaway from Seattle and it was perfect for it.
The only slight criticism I have is that there wasn't clear communication about some details of the property. I'm used to places like these having a binder of printout with basic information like the Wi-Fi password, the checkout procedure, how the heating works etc.
The only information here was the Wi-Fi password, and that was so well hidden that I eventually gave up and contacted the owner, only to find it a few minutes later.
We took a quick 2 night stay.
I grew up playing at the lake, and wanted to get to come back with my kids.
Cabin 3 was cute, comfortable and had more than enough space for my family of five & 2 dogs.
We took our little drift boat at did some fishing. First day was too windy for much success but the second morning we got two beautiful trout for breakfast.
We swam all day & soaked in the view.
Going on a Sunday night/early in the week is a great option if you want some quiet- the lake can get really busy on weekends.
Communication with the host was easy and pleasant. The cabin was stocked with pretty much everything you need except food and a phone charger. They even have a basket with microwave popcorn, cider, & cocoa besides supplying coffee.
The cabin was very clean, and the beds are very comfortable!
It was a great stay & lovely mini vacation.
We had a great time. Just a few things. Not enough towels for 6 people, only 4 towels. There were no extra garbage bags and we didnt know where to throw it away. The towel seat in the master was cracked and broken, hurt to use it. Outside had harbage and broken glass. Only 4 rolls of toliet paper, need more for guessed of 6. Please replace all light bulbs, alot missing. Under kitchen sink, leaked water. It would be nice for the property to be cleaned up with no weeds. The beds were very nice amd soft. The kitchen was big and was able to have family over for big dinners. Loved the sunsets, you can never put a price on that. We will be coming back next year. Thank you so much.
The property was very nice. The location of the lake is perfect. It took 2 minutes to walk down to the little dock. We brought our dog and had a little grass area in the back that made it very easy to take our dog out.
I do suggest bringing water shoes for going into the lake if you are going swimming. They had kayaks we rented which were brand new. They had shampoo, bath towels, pots, pans, dishes, and silverware.
They even had Netflix, Hulu, Vudu, prime, and Disney to watch! The wi-fi worked great, and ac was nice and cold! Would recommend if you want a nice, quiet place to stay and enjoy a lake that was pleasant to swim in. We did see lots of people with jet skis and boats.
It was easy and relaxing having a boat! Especially with a kid who loves to fish!
It is perfect for people with large trucks and a trailer. Conveniently next to the dock, works out well for a few days in a row! The cabin is cozy and even has a “very cool faucet” in the bathroom! 🥳🤩It was a great time 😎
Cabin 3 was had everything you need for a relaxing stay. The proximity to lake and restaurant was a plus. The extra touches such as shampoo, fully stocked kitchen and even coffee pods was a nice touch! We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back for a longer stay!
Amazing weekend! Great property, enjoyed the restaurant and we definitely stay again!
