Excellent, convenient, clean
This was my second time at the property, and it was excellent yet again. We love the location. It's convenient to get to downtown Santa Fe, but also feels like its own quiet space out of the way of the bustle. Catherine is an excellent host, and very easy to get in touch with. We hope to be back again.

We have rented in Eldorado each time we have visited Santa Fe. It’s a great location for exploring the area. The house was clean, comfortable, and well decorated. Highly recommend.
Beautiful house with a beautiful view. The house was decorated beautifully and so comfortable. My only suggestion is that the room next to the kitchen needs shades on the windows to keep the room cooler. But overall loved everything about the house❤️
Home was a perfect place to relax after a busy day touring. Comfortable beds- so nice to get up and have coffee and enjoy the view of the mountains.
A well stocked and maintained home.
Made our stay most enjoyable.
Great home and perfect location to discover Santa Fe and surrounding. The house was perfectly clean and very comfortable.
Renee did a great job making us feel at home.
I have rented properties from Monterey, CA to Madrid, Spain and i can honestly rank Fenix Azul at the top. Cassandra's a wonderful and responsive host. The property is beautifully appointed, spacious, and we'll maintained. I will always book Fenix Azul for my Santa Fe trips.
Had a wonderful stay at Fenix Azul. It was the perfect end to each days adventure. All the comfort of home and a great price too. Will recommend this home to anyone staying in Santa Fe area.
We loved our stay. The house was bigger than it seemed in photos and every room had amazing views. The house was extremely clean and stocked with everything we needed.

Casa Azul Where's the perfect retreat for my friends and I on a 4-day girls vacation. The house was extremely well equipped and comfortable. All the beds were great and very detailed instructions for guests. We would definitely come back to this location again.

Quiet and beautiful
We loved the quiet neighborhood and the view of the mountains. Without street lights at night it felt like we were out in the country. It was still close enough for us to go into Santa Fe several times and we enjoyed hiking close by.
The pueblo was situated in a nice, remote desert neighborhood with wonderful views of the surrounding mountains. While it was convenient to Santa Fe, it was removed enough to provide a sense of peaceful remoteness. Try the pizza place at the entrance to the neighborhood.

A wow! Place to come back to over and over
Oh where do I start, everything about this place says I care about you and your experience here at my well taken care of home. Please stay at Fenix Azul. You are guaranteed peace of mind a great sleep in the best comfort of our bed, pillows the whitest clean bedding ever and the coziest of comforter, a grand view of the nature that surrounds you, and the night stars. So much more to go on about. Just go experience it yourself. It’s a must do. Also, you’ll have the greatest host ever, Renee. Whatever you might night need, she’s on it, with a smile in her voice. Thank you so so much, Renee. Love Peace and prosperity to you and yours, always, Cecilia and Marc. I would send some pics, but I don’t know how.
So nice to be away from traffic and congestion. Comfortable beds and excellent cookware and dishware.
Suggest bringing your own pillows. Heads up: Access to washer dryer denied if stay is less than 5 nights.
We loved our stay at Fenix Azul! The home was beautiful with plenty of room for the 4 of us. Deck was great for coffee in the morning and dinner in the evening with a lovely view of the mountains. Did a lot of traveling around Santa Fe and up to Taos. This was a convenient location for all our daily trips. We highly recommend this place. Communication with the owner was simple and helpful.

Beautiful moonrises, sunsets and starry skies
This was our second stay at Fenix Azul, and a longer rental of around 3 weeks. The house is immaculately clean and well appointed with plenty of well-selected kitchen supplies for cooking. It's a peaceful ~20min drive to Santa Fe downtown; but there is a local grocery store nearby with all of our favorites. There are also some cute, well-rated restaurants nearby and a gas station.
The house is situated between two distant mountain ranges and has a huge tryptic of picture windows in the living room. We ended up doing a lot in that room watching nature and clouds move by, all throughout the day.
The beds are very comfortable with high quality linen. Heating and cooling units in each room.
It definitely has a vacation feel and is spacious and comfortable enough for remote working. We also had the opportunity to connect with the owner and swap stories, and she is a delight. We look forward to connecting again.
Highly recommend! Every evening and morning we would enjoy a light show of the Santa Fe sunsets and sunrises from this beautiful, well appointed home in Eldorado Santa Fe. The windows have one of the best views of any home we have visited and we already are talking about how we will miss it. We had not known before we booked how extensive the Eldorado hiking and biking trails are, nor that the house was near the rails to trails bike path and a short drive to Galisteo Basin Preserve, all of which were unexpected surprises. At night, we loved being on the back deck to watch the sunset and hear the coyotes. Nearby, we recommend two delicious and personable restaurants: Cafe Fina, for brunch, and Arable for dinner. We were able to enjoy all the museums and history of downtown Santa Fe while enjoying the scenic beauty that drew us to Santa Fe. We felt like we really were somewhere different than our home. The host has done a professional job of making sure the home had everything we needed. The bed is very comfortable and the linens and towels are very high quality and the kitchen and grill are set up for any cooking you would want to do. She even provided complimentary robes to wear while we were here. We had wanted to visit Santa Fe the first week of October and this home had just been placed on VRBO, and we were a bit nervous because there were no reviews, but now consider ourselves lucky to have been able to be the first guests to enjoy this beautiful, well appointed home. We serendipituously also were here during the Alburquerque Balloon Festival and were able to enjoy that as well! We look forward to coming back again to this home!

About the host
Hosted by Renee Ferguson
My name is Renee and my husband is Rick. We were both born and raised in California and moved to New Mexico in the summer of 2019. We lost everything, including our home and two long term rentals in the Camp Fire that destroyed Paradise, Ca. November 8, 2018. We've found healing here in the Land of Enchantment.
Why they chose this property
Instead of replacing our long term rental with another one, we decided to venture into the short term rental business and Santa Fe was the perfect location due to it's beauty and rich cultural history. We looked in the city limits but found the rural Eldorado area to be such a beautiful and peaceful area for a vacation destination.
What makes this property unique
We love the flora and fauna of this high desert community. There are endless bike trails, including the Rails to Trails path that takes you from Lamy, through Eldorado and on to the city of Santa Fe. The Galisto Basin Preserve is a quick drive down the road and there are several excellent restaurants nearby with patio dining. I'm a snow skier and I love the close proximity to Ski Santa Fe. After a long day of playing in the snow or a hike in the aspens, it's so nice to come back to this cozy home. The howling of the coyotes, curious cottontail rabbits and occasional bobcat sightings are an added plus. However, the views surrounding this home are the main feature and the sunrises and sunsets are our favorites!
