Excellent Location

The property was nice and conveniently located, but we were disappointed to find the sink cabinets for the kitchen and bathroom were falling off the hinges. The A/C unit didn’t cool very well.

Perfect spot!

Loved the location of this condo. Right across from the beach and next to several places to eat. The condo was really nice and had so many beach accessories ready for us to use. The only downside was the AC unit only being in the living room and not the bedroom, which got quite hot. Wonderful stay overall :)

Pleasant stay in great location

Just returned from one week stay - family of three. Great location, walkable to beach and local restaurants. Easy to communicate with on-site office. Very clean and well laid out - looks exactly like the pictures online. There is ONE item that renters should be aware of - the air conditioning situation. The master bedroom has none and relies simply on a ceiling fan. We tried every night to get cooler air from the living room into the bedroom with a tower fan but to no luck. Instead our six year old son ended up freezing in full air conditioning on the pullout every night while we were in the overheated bedroom. If long active days in the sun make you crave a cool nights sleep in air conditioning this is not the place. If you don’t mind sleeping with just a ceiling fan, the rental is great.

Great Location

The condo is fully equipped with everything you’ll need for your stay. The furnishings were very comfortable and clean. We enjoyed the great view of the sunset from the lanai. Diane and Rosalind were very responsive and helpful.

This is an excellent condo with just about everything you will need. We had a few small problems that Rosalind was able to solve quickly. I would advise to call her with any questions. The coffee maker is the drip type; not K-cup. As other reviews have indicated, the bedroom can get a little warm. There is a large ceiling fan above the bed that we found to be adequate. The building is in the back of the property and it is a five minute walk to the beach. We had a perfect vacation and would stay in this condo again..

Island hopped for my husband’s birthday and overall we were very happy with the condo. Super comfy bed. Great location to a beach and local restaurants. About 25 mins from airport. Only complaint is we had to wait until AFTER 4 to get in our condo because the cleaning lady was still there and in our parking spot. Even after the cleaning lady being there past time we were expecting it to be cleaned thoroughly. We found a lot of hair in between the sheets and comforter… knobs and handles were sticky but luckily I always come prepared with Clorox wipes and Lysol!

We have stayed a t this property before. Amazing experience. Beautifully decorated. Unit clean. Our last stay April of 2022. New owner. Unit is showing it's age. Current pictures do not reflect accurate decor .Didn't expect to the a blanket covering the sofa. Rugs were worn and would have been better if they were not there. Unit is quiet and kitchen well stocked. Easy walk to beach.Needs a good cleaning and freshen up

Perfect!

Kihei Akahi is perfect! We stayed for 10 days with my 16-year-old daughter (who slept on the sofa-bed because that's the "price" she pays for coming with us...haha.) She said sofa-bed was comfortable and she loved hearing the nighttime sounds with the sliding door open. Check-in was a breeze! Diane was VERY communicative and allowed us to check-in about an hour early since our flight changed. Yay! The condo was fully stocked beyond our expectations including a Brita filter pitcher. Towels, beach chairs, umbrellas, laundry detergent, cooking items like salt/pepper and cooking spray, shampoo/body wash...all the things. The location is perfect too. We walked everywhere including the beaches, Kama I, II, and III. Kalama Park was a bit far at night when we were tired so we drove but it's a 3-minute drive. The complex was quiet and very clean. We would definitely stay here again!

My second year staying in building D and it was wonderful.

I really enjoy Kihei Akahi! It's location, the grounds and pool areas are well maintained, and of course the view. It's also off the Kihei road far enough that you hear only the ocean at night. Reserved the same condo for next winter already...

Excellent property. Perfect location!

We had a great stay! Having been to Maui several times, we enjoy the location of Kihei Akahi. This condo has a great view of the ocean. It was nice to look for whales when we were enjoying time in the lanai. The condo feels spacious, and has all the needed appliances. Foot traffic was quiet as this unit is away from the elevators. We would definitely stay again!

Never disappointed

We have stayed at this property a number of times and we have always been completely satisfied with the property and our experience with the owner/property manager. Location of this property is perfect for hitting beaches, watching the sunset, shopping, restaurants, etc. etc….highly recommended.

Why they chose this property

Maui features a mix of climatic conditions. For instance, some areas of the Valley Isle receive upwards of 400 inches of rain annually. On the other hand, Kihei averages only ten inches. We appreciate Maui's variety, but especially enjoy Kihei's propensity for dry weather.

Average high temperatures in Kihei range from 81 to 90 throughout the year while lows range from 61 to 67. This tight spread provides the opportunity for a pleasant experience no matter what time of year we visit. Of course, summer months tend to be a little warm for us Alaskans!

Tipping the scales even further in Kihei's favor is the wide variety of activities within just a short five or ten minute drive. Shopping, dining, snorkeling, surfing, golf - you name it, it's close by.

Even better, many of these attractions are within easy walking distance of our condo. Best of all, the Pacific Ocean is just across the street!
