House was a good match for two people who needed 2 separate bedrooms and space. Very nicely furnished and super clean . Host Rick was easy to reach and accessible. Replaced a broken coffee maker the same day we reported it to him. Only downside was the very tiny half bath upstairs. There was no door or towel racks which would not allow privacy for more than one upstairs occupant. Excellent location for day trips around the area. Driveway was not well marked so that attention was needed to find it, especially after dark. Overall, we were very happy with the house and host was great.
this home is very old fashioned - which we loved. It has all the comforts of a cozy home. The beds were great. The upstairs bedrooms were up a small, steep staircase and one of the bedrooms was a bit dark. There is a small half-bath upstairs. We were very comfortable and felt delighted to stay there.
This property is a nice older home in the woods if you are looking for something further away from the crowds over at Acadia. It’s well stocked and has A/C and Heat for all different temperatures!
We so enjoyed our stay in this home! We live in an area where we don't have such old homes, so it was a lot of fun to stay in a place with such old floors, interesting/quirky floor plan, and clever built-ins. Huge, well-stocked kitchen, and comfy living room. The AC units were a god-send. The only reason I gave it a 4 for location/neighborhood was that it was a longer drive to Acadia NP than we'd realized. (That's OUR fault, not the fault of the listing.) Even though it was almost an hour to reach Acadia, we really enjoyed the lovely drive each way, and it was wonderful to come back to a home at the end of our days instead of to a confined motel room.
A Nice place to discover Acadia and the Deer isle Peninsula
Great spot to explore Acadia National Park as well as the deer island peninsula . Kayaking in Stonnington was fantastic. The house was clean and comfortable.
Spent two weeks at this rustic but comfortable and well-appointed cottage. Good location, close to Blue Hill attractions, but away from traffic, etc. Reasonable rate. Ideal for longer stay. Owner was very responsive and friendly.
Great house with well appointed kitchen and bathroom amenities. Blue Hill is a great location in and of itself and as a jumping off spot for Acadia, Deer Isle, Belfast etc. I’d rent this house again in a heartbeat…
The house is tucked away in the trees but very close to the historic village of Blue Hill.
Great access to the great little towns of Downeast Maine and Acadia.
Easily accessible restaurants and amenities a couple of miles away while you are positioned in the peaceful woods.
Host was available, however nothing came up that prompted me to contact him during my stay.
Good home base to explore the area.
We had a nice time staying here. It was quiet and clean. A little far from Bar Harbor but not too far for day trips to Acadia, Bar Harbor and other areas
