Discover the nearby nature reserve Unteres Recknitztal and the bird park Marlow with tropical house and penguin facility. Also worth seeing is the Holländermühle in Marlow. Possible day trip destinations include the amber town of Ribnitz-Damgarten, the Darß-Zingst peninsula, Karl's adventure village in Rövershagen, as well as Rostock and Stralsund.
