When we arrived at the property the glass front door was standing open against property, we then noticed that the front door was not locked. We continued in and checked out the property. The electrical plugs do not work in either bathroom, the sink in the bar area does not drain and nothing telling you not to use it.

Awful and Home in Severe Disrepair

Awful experience. This house is literally falling apart due to horrible foundational issues and severe water damage. It was unsafe. We found black mold in the vents, holes in walls, separation of most moldings at ceiling/floor, horrible mold smell masked by air freshener, broken furniture, doors that don’t fully lock, broken door jambs causing safety concern, broken gutters that slap in the wind causing noise and lack of sleep…just awful.

house needs serious maintenance

While the check in process was easy and our host was, for the most part, available to communicate with, the quality and upkeep of the home was not as pictured. Walls in the living room were cracked and crumbling in areas, both bath tubs either had rust stains or half the paint peeled off, one of the exterior windows had a large crack across the whole pane, and the upstairs carpet reeked of pet urine. If you’re interested in this property I would check with the hosts to inquire as to whether they’ve completed any of the necessary repairs.

Wonderful Relaxing Vacation

We traveled to Dallas to see family and friends. The photos of this property drew us in and we were not disappointed when we arrived. The property manager was very responsive to all emails. They checked in with us once we were settled and throughout our stay to see if we needed anything. I will stay there again!

Dallas Birthday Surprise

The host and owners did respond in a timely manner as issues were identified. The 2 bedroom townhouse was in a good location, most stores and gym were in short driving distance. The neighborhood is quiet and quaint. Primary concerns stem from the maintencance and cleanliness of the property. Majority of the doors were not 100% secure. There were visible cobwebs from the ceiling. Carpets and furniture could use a good deep clean. I did reach out to the host immediately, purchased cleaning supplies and cleaned all possible surfaces. Host agreed following submission of pictures to refund the cleaning fee. Owners stopped by to address surface maintenance such as light bulbs, faucet, and brought a broom. It wasnt the worst experience but definitely did not meet expectations for the amount paid and location. Everyone was polite and communicated on a regular basis.

We had a wonderful time. The rooms were comfortable and the hosts reached out to ensure we had everything we needed. Our toddler and kinder age kids stay upstairs and we had privacy downstairs which is rare!

Comfortable Clean and Conveniently Located!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this VRBO. The property was exactly as described—very clean and comfortable. The location was perfect and close to many attractions. Awesome location to stay in Downtown Dallas!

My sister and I and our husbands regularly meet in Dallas to hang out - I'm so glad we found Peaceful Dwellings! The townhouse we stayed in was close to everything, restaurants, shopping, Deep Ellum etc - even a really nice park to just walk around! The townhouse had everything we needed and our hosts were great at communicating! Highly recommend!
