Had a mildew spell. Need to update the new windows and take down the paneling and brighten the place up furniture very uncomfortable especially the couch
We had a wonderful time at the cottage. The location is fantastic- only a few blocks from Crescent Beach and a 10 minute walk from downtown Niantic.
Amenities are pretty complete too - we were happy, for example, to find a washer / dryer that was a big bonus for our 10 day stay.
As another review mentioned, with a few small improvements (i.e., new windows and some cosmetic repairs) this cottage would be stellar. But it was a very nice place to stay and well worth the rental price.
Kitchen and bathroom were pristine. Very important to us. Living room and bedrooms clean and fresh. A little outdated but had character. Enjoyed our stay. Already thinking about next year.

Disappointed
This property has potential but is not in shape for rental. The kitchen remodel was unfinished. There was no hardware. There is a foul odor that permeates the entire house perhaps from the shag carpet. The coffee maker had moldy grounds. There are mismatched and old window treatments and the furniture is depressing. Some of the ceiling tiles were up with tape which let go during our stay. The owner had someone come check out the leaks quickly but the hole was left. We are not typically inclined to leave a bad review but this was a disappointing stay.
This was a soft place to land for my recently widowed sister in law. A chance to be close to the shore, off season, in a cozy safe place. This cottage has everything you need for a quiet, comfortable stay. The beach is always a good place to regroup.
Thank you so much...
The home was very conveniently located to the beach and the towns of Niantic, Lyme, Groton, and Mystic are all within very easy driving distance as well as the two large casinos in the area.
The owner is easy to communicate with and accommodating. I enjoyed my stay and would recommend the house / owner to anyone wanting to stay in the area.
Great location - close to the beach and the town; host friendly and responsive. Everything as pictured and described.
This is an older house with lots of room; too bad only one bathroom. Porch can be used as an additional bedroom. Lots of extra towels and linens including beach towels. Very convenient
We had a great time. Perfect location. There were some concerning things about the property, but nothing major. Will reach out to the renter privately.
Beautiful and friendly neighborhood. Cottage was very cozy and close to the beach. Host was very friendly and accommodating. We would love to stay here again!! Highly Recommend!! A+++
The cottage is perfect. It’s cozy and feels like home. 😊

Why they chose this property
Location, location, location! Pick up breakfast from the local stand before planning your day at the beach. If you need a break from the sun, you can take a leisurely bike ride around Black Point or go shopping on Main Street.
The house is practical too. You're halfway between Boston and New York, with a number of major employers in town. And if you're here for an extended work trip, wouldn't you rather have space to unwind at the end of the day?
