The house was perfect for our large family and there was room for everyone. The SUPs and kayaks were great to play in the lake. The location to town and Glacier National Park was good too. We had a great time, and the house had everything we needed. We would definitely stay again.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Rustic Retreat on Flathead Lake. The house has everything you need and then some including kayaks, paddleboards, lots of chair for the deck and wonderful mattresses. Very private, quiet and of course the lake is right out the back door and stunningly beautiful and clear. Looking forward to returning to Flathead Lake!
We had a wonderful time at this beautiful, clean and spacious home! We rented a pontoon out of Polson for a couple of days and also rented jet skis out of Big Arm Marina. There is a lot to do for people of all ages! We kayaked to Wild Horse Island which took about 45 minutes to get over there, hiked, saw deer and big horn sheep. It was a wonderful vacation and I can’t wait to go back!
This was the perfect place for our family's annual vacation. The home is lovely, with lots of space for everyone to enjoy. The lake was beautiful and we enjoyed the paddleboards and kayaks as well as swimming every day.
It is close enough to Glacier National Park that we visited a few times during the week and had time to enjoy the park for the day and come back and enjoy the lake in the evening.
Beaztiful property right on Flarhead Lake with it's own dock. 5 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms worked out well with 6 adults and 6 children. Views from the house were amazing.
There were three families for our stay. The accommodations were perfect. There was room enough for everyone. The house had everything we needed plus more. The lake access was key and allowed us to rent a boat and use kayaks and paddleboards. Owners also had lots of extras for lake use. The property was amazing and private - the kids had enough room to play games and football. We would definitely recommend it if you are looking for a getaway to a wonderful lakefront property.
We loved the house and the location - it has such a beautiful view and the access to the lake is awesome! We loved that kayaks and life preservers were supplied - made enjoying the water so easy! The home was well appointed and the kitchen was very well equipped. We recommend this property without hesitation and hope to return before long! Thank you for a wonderful and memorable vacation!
Perfect place for a combination lake/mountain trip
Amazing property right on Flathead Lake! Couldn't ask for better views. Less than 2 miles by kayak to Wild Horse Island. Perfect back lawn. Well stocked with 2 SUP's and 4 kayaks, I believe most if not all were double kayaks. Very pleased with our stay here, would return again.
This home was perfect for our family! Having the grassy area and the lake/ dock gave us freedom and room for multiple ages and activities. The kayaks were the well used. Having three king beds was a definite plus. The home was well stocked with towels and supplies. We are already planning to return. There are no grocery stores or restaurants nearby but there is a Costco in Kalispell. We never figured out the AC system with multiple controls so maybe some instructions would be helpful.
Our only suggestion...could you move Glacier National Park closer? :)
The property was very nice and had a lot of what you needed. The basics were covered dish soap, laundry detergent, and other needed items were already at the house. All appliances are fairly new and worked without issue. The bedding was comfortable and cozy.
As for the outside the deck was a big hang out for us. The kayaks and standing paddle boards were very nice to have. We used them a lot.
You can not park a boat at the dock but we found a marina 3 minutes away for our boat rental. The kids 8 of them played on the dock and with the items provided and were more than happy. There is so much do to here we will have to come back.
Easy access. Large lawn for games. Nice dock. Plenty of beach toys. Interior well appointed, comfortable, tasteful, roomy. Host responsive.
(Small point: The utility closet is under the master bedroom. There is a constant hum. Won't bother some, will cause others to choose a different room)
As a professional vacation rental manager I have high expectations for our stays. Our opportunity to enjoy uninterrupted time and build memories is precious to us. We took the whole family (6 adults and 5 children) to Flathead Lake for our annual summer vacation. From the moment we walked in everything was perfect. The home was very clean, there was plenty of linens, paper/soap supplies, dishes, seating etc. And some extra surprises you'll have to book to discover. We spent a full week there and never wanted for anything.
We loved the lawn area and the level "beach area" that meant even the 2 year old could play at the water without worrying about him toppling in. We rented a boat for a couple of days and the dock was great for stopping by the house for lunch breaks and keeping the boat overnight. (We highly recommend renting a boat and going to Wild Horse Island)
We typically don't return to the same place on family vacations but we are already thinking of returning here, maybe skiing? or back for a summer lake getaway? We all highly recommend this property and the management/housekeeping team. Thanks!
The house was exactly as described on the site but with a few surprises. There were a few kayaks and paddle boards for use as well as some fishing poles. The house was stocked with everything needed for a wonderful vacation. I would definitely stay in this property again if in the area. My only two suggestions is to have a TV in the downstairs living room for those that may have mobility issues and can't go up and down the stairs or if trying to prepare a meal with small children (since there's not much else to do in the evening in the area) and to install some kind of window covering on the living room windows since the sun is extremely bright in the morning and it makes seating for a meal difficult. Otherwise, this is a wonderful retreat!
Our family loved the property! It was very well equipment with everything you could need for a home away from home. We loved being right down on the lake abs out to ourselves .
We had a wonderful time. We spent most of our time in the lake. Like we love to do. We were especially impressed with the fun water toys in the garage. It was a blast! Thanks!
We had a wonderful time, beautiful home and location, great amenities and plenty of recreation to partake in at the house and on the lake- kayaksing, paddle boarding, swimming and fishing , little need to go elsewhere. Excellent accessibility to Lakeside, Polson, Bigfork and Glacier, which we did visit for hiking, rafting and boating. One of the best family vacations ever!
This lakefront home is truly stunning! It’s large but feels very cozy, and the interior surroundings are beautiful. We were instantly in love with every detail. The house has a rustic style, but with every modern amenity we needed. The garage is LOADED with gear for lake fun and ventures - we loved the kayaks and water tubes! The property is private with a perfect beachfront, and the sailboat watching kept us entertained all week long. The property manager was very responsive when we reached out and we were beyond impressed with their quick action when we needed help. I could go on and on with how great our stay was! The distance to Glacier National Park wasn’t bad, and the overall location allowed us to venture around all of Flathead Lake easily. Our one recommendation is to stock up on groceries at a major grocery store in Kalispell if you’re arriving in the area through Glacier International Airport (we went to Rosauers which was great), because the stores more nearby the house do not have a large selection of much. This was important to us since we ate pretty much all our meals at the house.
This property made for an unforgettable first trip to Montana. The house has plenty of space and is stocked well with quality amenities. The location was very private and we didn’t mind the beautiful 20 min drive to the local market. Having the lake and dock right outside our door was everything we were looking for in a relaxing vacation. We would absolutely recommend this property and will be staying again in the future!
