Welcome to the Kentucky Bourbon Trail! Top off your glass and enjoy a peaceful retreat at the Willett Home. Relax on the front porch, enjoy the view of the golf course across the street and listen to the bells from My Old Kentucky Home State Park.
The Willett home has been beautifully renovated. We have accommodations for up to 8 guests (4 Bedrooms, each with a queen bed) There are two full bathrooms (we supply body wash, shampoo and conditioner, as well as an abundance of towels) Our kitchen is fully stocked, if you decide to cook! We offer an assortment of coffee for you to enjoy.
We are centrally located on the Kentucky Bourbon Trail, close to many distilleries! Also less than one mile to Historic Downtown Bardstown with its many restaurants, festivals and shops. We are roughly one hour to Louisville and Lexington (Horse Racing anyone?!)

Perfect location for Bardstown!

We came to town for the Bourbon distilleries. Traveling from Cincinnati we hit Frankfort and Lawrenceburg before heading to the house. We were all very happy with how nice the house was. Clean and comfortable. Location was amazing! About 5 minutes to Heaven Hill, about 5 minutes to quaint shops and restaurants in Bardstown. We would definitely rent this home again!

Bourbon Trail Location

We appreciate everything that was available for our stay. Snacks, coffee and all the fixins! Lots of towels and everything you could need. Conveniently located near downtown and the distilleries for our Bourbon Trail adventure.

Bourbon Trail Weekend

This property was the perfect place to stay for our 3rd annual family Bourbon Trail weekend. The property is clean, well appointed with everything you could need and in a perfect location. We plan to book again next year!

We had a nice family weekend. Very clean and close to downtown. House sits close to a busy road/area (McDonalds). Could hear road/car noises throughout the night.

Great stay

This house was super clean and that’s coming from someone who brings disinfectant wipes to re-clean once I check in, however I didn’t feel it needed it. Comfortable beds, all the amenities we needed, as well as all paper products and hygiene products. We didn’t need to bring anything other than ourselves! I think my only suggestion for the owners would be to get a different dresser in the main bedroom upstairs, so that the a/c vent wasn’t covered up. Having a window unit on is so loud and hard to sleep. We ended turning it off at night and were ok, but it would have been a more pleasant temperature if the actual a/c vent wasn’t covered. Other than that it was a lovely stay!

Bourbon Trail Adventure

Cleanliness and furnishings were above and beyond the norm for a VRBO! The kitchen, dining room and living room had furniture for a large group without being crowded. It was a good location to begin and return to after each of our daily excursions. Would highly recommend this home for a staring spot to your Kentucky Bourbon Trail adventure!!

What a great location, so close to many bourbon distilleries, restaurants & golf course. Many options which it was hard to choose the basement bar/games or sit on the front porch. It was a beautiful weekend and we chose the front porch. Great place to gather after a busy day tasting & tours. Thank you so much for sharing your place!

Derby Weekend!

This was a great place for us to stay with our family of 7 (all adults) to attend the 150th Kentucky Derby. It had plenty of room and nice living room to hang out. The porch was awesome! We really enjoyed Bardstown.

The location was perfect, the house was clean, and it had everything you’d need. Great for exploring Bardstown and the surrounding area of the bourbon trail. The host was very accommodating and quick to respond. Can’t wait to get back!

Lovely house, great location

We loved staying at this house. Looking out the front windows over My Old Ky Home State Park was beautiful, the proximity to downtown and Heaven Hill Distillery was great. Our children loved the house as much as we did. I do wish there were more window coverings. We hope to visit and stay there again someday. Bardstown at Christmas time was picturesque. My Old Ky Hime Christmas Carol was excellent. But I would like to visit in the spring when the civil war museums are open.

We jumped at the opportunity to purchase and remodel this home and are so proud to be able to share it with our guests!! We are looking forward to hosting you :)

Why they chose this property

We named our home after the family who built it in the early 1950s. Mrs Willett lived here through her 90s!! She and her husband raised their children and hosted Sunday dinners with the grandchildren for many years.
We fell in love with the front porch wile remodeling the home in 2021.
We look forward to sharing the love this home has to offer.
