BEWARE if you have an issue come up!
WARNING! Poor host correspondence when an issue came up on our spring break. If we hadn't had an air quality issue, it would have been fine. Clean cabin but needs updating. The HVAC system had a bad panel board and we had temperatures in 90s in the cabin despite temps outside being in 70s day one. Living room fan and portable did NOT work. HVAC man came Sunday, 2nd day. Heat would not shut off. Host told us to open windows, BUT MOST WINDOWS DIDN'T HAVE SCREENS (in the middle of the woods)! HVAC had to be shut off. Finally fixed Tuesday. Left Wednesday. At night it was in the low 30s. Woke up freezing. Ranged inside from upper 90s to low 50s. Only offer to remedy was to have us leave, not charge us for future dates. Asked for another location. Response, "No." Host lacked empathy and was unprofessional in response. She eventually offered a 250 refund which has yet to honored. If you don't have a serious issue, cabin would be fine. In all my years of traveling, I have not experienced such treatment and indifference to an uncomfortable situation. I have the emails, screenshots, and even emails from VRBO saying she would not answer them. Back and forth for weeks. I will likely be accused of dishonesty like a few other past reviewers with issues. Pay close attention to those. VRBO won't allow me to post my email or contact info so you could request screenshots so you could decide yourself. Disappointing & unfair you can't. Hope this saves at least one family.
