Beautiful quiet paradise

Our week stay was fantastic! Morning SUPs, walks on the beach, swimming in the ocean, dinners at local restaurants, sunsets while lounging on the deck… Other beaches in the area were lovely but had paid parking and had vendors hawking. The unit had everything we needed and we had very comfy sleeps. 2 bathrooms is a bonus when travelling with 2 teen girls.

Excellent location

The views and location are spectacular. The condo is everything the description says and more. Very well stocked kitchen and comfortable beds. Highly recommend this unit and will be back sometime.

Wonderful location

Enjoyed diving with Connect Ocean off the beach at the Sailing Club. Loved the view from the condo every morning. The property management and owner was super attentive to our needs.

Exceeded expectations

This condo was perfect for out 12 day trip to Costa Rica. The location was perfect for us. The condo was quiet and right on the beach. We were happy to be close enough to walk to the Marina (via the beach), but far enough away from Playa Flamingo that it was peaceful. I would highly recommend this place. Thank you all for making our stay perfect!!!

Pacific Beach condo

Our family of four loved our stay here. The condo was fully stocked with everything we could need (the coolers and chairs to take to the beach were a wonderful surprise). Access to laundry was super helpful. The condo is perfectly located; a close drive to some wonderful beaches yet a quieter location to return home to at the end of the day. Sunsets were amazing. Definitely recommend a stay here. Thanks for sharing it with us Karen and family!

Amazing view!

Everything was just as described and pictured. Both the view and location of the condo were fantastic. The condo was within walking distance to restaurants and shopping. My family and I have traveled to several countries and this was by far our favorite vacation. Thank you Kalli and the staff at Tropical Homes.

A gem on the beach

My husband and I loved our stay at this condo. It's right on the beach and we enjoyed watching the sunset every night. The condo has just about everything you might need for a fun and relaxing trip. It's located near several restaurants and a market. The concierges for Tropical Homes of CR were great to work with. They met us at the condo for check in, plus helped arrange trips and airport transport. We couldn't have asked for a better vacation.

First trip to Costa Rica

We enjoyed our trip! Three of us one of our adult daughters, my husband and my self stayed here for 6 days. It is right on the beach, within walking distance to several restaurants and cute little places. Happy We picked here to stay. Didn't venture into the other regions of Costa Rica, travel is slower there then in the us. And there was so much beauty close that was not interested in waisting relax and explore time with travel.

Beautiful Sunsets!

This is a very nicely decorated condo with a great balcony that has a beautiful view of the sunsets. 2 spacious bedrooms with 2 nice bathrooms. The kitchen only has room for 2 people to work in and be careful of the stove…it’s an ignitor light so make sure you’re familiar with how to start it before you do. The condo is central to several great beaches and a very short walk to the beach right in front of the balcony. All in all, a wonderful place to stay for our first trip to Costa Rica!

Beautiful, quiet location

What an amazing view! The pictures do not do it justice. The unit was very clean and well appointed, with everything we needed. Kalli was easy to work with and very accommodating. Another important note, the beds were comfortable! The staff at Tropical Homes, who manage the property, were more than helpful and made our stay worry free. Playa Potrero is a beautiful, laid back beach. Much less crowded than it's neighbor, Playa Flamingo and a great place to come home to.

Loved this area and the condo!

We loved the location of the condo and the condo itself. We stayed 7 nights and had two couples with plenty of space to have privacy. We checked out every main beach as far north as Playa Hermosa, then south to Tamarindo. We couldn't have been happier with our selection for location. The condo was comfortable and well stocked with linens and kitchen essentials. Other than the mix up upon arrival, I have no complaints. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us! We hope to be back.

BEST location with an AMAZING view!

This beautiful second story condo has the very best view ever! From the living room and spacious balcony, we enjoyed watching picturesque sunrises, sunsets and wildlife. It's centrally located and walking distance to many popular destinations. Both the complex and the condo are excellently maintained and well-appointed. We enjoyed that it is a quiet area, away from the hustle and bustle of some of the other nearby areas. The owner has thoughtfully supplied maps, and lots of other pertinent information to help her visitors know what activities and amenities are available in the area. Kalli also knew of the best spots for sailing, yoga, restaurants, and beaches!

Exceeded Our Expectations

Kalli, the condo was even better than advertised! It's beautifully and tastefully decorated with an amazing ocean view as well as sparkling clean and containing everything one would need for a great vacation. And so peaceful and quiet. It was absolutely perfect for the two of us, but four people would do nicely as well. Concierage Cynthia was extremely helpful, knowledgeable and efficient. We very much enjoyed the Congo Trail zipline experience and the Seabird catamaran sunset sail; Palo Verde was so-so but it was a great way to see more of Costa Rica as we didn't want to rent a car. Having the Coconut Beach Club, The Shack and Guido's so close by was wonderful. And the early morning and late afternoon walks on the beach were fantastic. We will definitely recommend this area and your condo to others!

Wonderful time on the Beach

Just spent 4 wonderful nights in the House of Summer Sand. Kalli and the staff at Tropical Homes were super easy to work with--great communication before and during our stay. The condo is just as pictured--very clean, nicely furnished, well stocked kitchen (pots, pans, dishes, glasses, blender, toaster etc and spices), excellent WIFI and air conditioners. We loved spending our mornings drinking coffee, listening to the surf, and watching the pelicans diving into the water. Spent our days exploring many of the nearby beaches--Sugar Beach and Danta beach were our favorites. Bought fresh fish from the local vendor in Brasilito (south side of town, East side of road), super fresh, good prices and very nice people. The landscaping around the condo is very nice, we never heard any noises from the neighbors below us or next door. We had a great time and would definitely stay here again.

Perfect location, perfect vacation.

From the planning stage, booking the trip was a breeze dealing with Kalli. We have been to Costa Rica many times and love the Potrero area but have never stayed on the beach. The condo is amazing, tastefully decorated, everything you need for a comfortable stay from kitchen supplies, linens, music CD's, movies etc. Awake every day to breathtaking views, breakfast on deck listening to wildlife, waves crashing. Enjoy a morning run on beach or through town. Visit fruit stand, bakery, the Shack (karaoke on Thursdays), La Perla (rib night Fridays) best ribs in town, The Beach House, many other restaurants within walking distance. Close to other beaches, our favorites Playa Penca (stand up paddle boarding with Dulce Vida Paddle), Playa Prieta (fantastic snorkeling), and Playa Flamingo. Or spend a day relaxing by pool, eating a great dinner on the deck watching the amazing sunsets. Thank you again Kalli and hopefully we'll be neighbors one day.

What a treasure!

We recently returned from a wonderful stay at House of Summer Sand. What a treasure it was to find this beautiful location. Kalli was great to work with and sent us tons of useful information to help plan the best trip EVER! The condo was beautifully appointed and very comfortable with many fun artistic touches. We enjoyed many hours relaxing on the patio and admiring the view. Lots of sitting around the pool deck and visiting with the neighbors and sharing stories. The area is very quiet and peaceful but you can easily enjoy some adventure or nightlife within close proximity. So many beautiful beaches within just a few miles. The property managers at Tropical Homes were very helpful whenever we called them for anything and responded within minutes for the most part. We would not hesitate to return to this great vacation spot! Thank you for sharing your beautiful home!

This condo was just as described but better. We were two couples and both bedrooms were roomy and we each had our own bath. The living dining area was roomy and well equipped. The deck was fabulous for watching sunsets. The beach was the best. We are all swimmers and enjoyed swimming long distance and riding the waves. There was no significant undertow so we felt safe. The water temperature is perfect. At low tide the beach was great for walking because it was flat and felt like velvet! We could walk to several good and reasonable restaurants. We enjoyed Coco Loco which is only a short drive. We rented a car which allowed us to travel to local beaches but we like Flamingo the best. We took a tour trip to Palo Verde which I definately recommend rather than driving. The office manager was helpful with booking this and the driver came to the condo right on time.

Perfect location and beautiful condo directly on the beach.

We (2 couples) stayed here for 3 weeks and we couldn't have been happier. The second floor gave us a beautiful view to wake up to and watch the sunset. Very few people on the beach (not like Flamingo beach). We walked the beach every morning (unless we were out exploring). We met wonderful people that spend many months here at a time and they provided us with lots of information and recommendations. This is a small complex so that made it even better. Lots of places to walk to for wonderful meals. Never experienced a bad one anywhere. Every morning we walked across a small road paved to a local produce/fruit stand. The local Costa Ricans treat you like family and we were never once treated with anything but respect. We also felt very safe at the condo due to an onsite security person that was wonderful and helped us with anything we needed. The owner was so helpful and easy to work with. We would highly recommend this condo to anyone that wants to have a relaxing vacation, but also plenty to do to keep you busy if that's what you want to do. This will be our destination when we return to Costa Rica.

A Little Slice of Paradise

Playa Potrero has quickly become our favorite vacation destination! We stayed in the same small condo complex last March and were equally as pleased with the total environment this time. The condo has everything you need and more to make for a wonderful vacation! It is extremely clean and Kalli made us feel welcome every step of the way! We stayed 5 nights and mostly cooked our own meals in the well-stocked kitchen and on the gas grill. We found great deals on Mahi Mahi and shrimp at the Pescado y Mariscos Frescos shop in the blue building on the left as you head down the road to Penca beach. The waves are much calmer at Playa Potrero than the surrounding beaches, so it seems safer to swim and fish. One of the neighbors was nice enough to loan me some fishing equipment as I tried to keep up with the local Tico's fishing along the beach. There are little over a dozen condos in the complex with beautiful grounds, a nice pool and amazing sunsets. Our sailing trip was canceled due to electrical problems and we did have some issues trying to rebook with some of the other groups, but that had nothing to do with the condo rental. Viator tends to overbook these trips, so it is best to contact the operator directly. We look forward to returning in the future! Jeff & Janet Lenexa, KS
