About this property

Alpaca Paradise & Alpaca Experience!

"Alpaca Paradise" is not only a wonderful hands on alpaca and Scottish highland experience, but a serene night's rest on a 53 acre ranch, what we call our little piece of paradise. Contact me @ (970) 274-0853 to schedule your one on one time with the alpacas!!! Sopris Alpaca Farm is only 10 miles to Rifle State Park, a beautiful triple 70' waterfall flowing over on East Rifle Creek. Enjoy hiking the trails & exploring the caves. We are a short 17 minute drive to Glenwood Springs, an outdoor enthusiast's haven. The world's largest hot springs, great skiing, many hiking trails, including our gorgeous Hanging Lake.

This house also has an upstairs unit. Please be respectful of noise level. This unit is in the bottom half of a home. It is bright and cozy and has its own entrance. Because of not being able to completely control the guests upstairs, there may be higher noise levels at times. We do have ear plugs and noise machines in each bedroom to help with the noise. Also, being in the bottom level, it is cooler. We have heaters and extra space heaters if needed in the unit. This Vrbo sleeps 4, any unapproved guests may be asked to leave.

Wonderful birthday weekend

Such an adorable place to spend the weekend. The lower level residence was perfect for us. The alpacas were so cute and the little cows were adorable! Hosts were very welcoming and we’d love to go back in the future!

Comfortable stay

We stayed here for one night on our colorado family road trip. We booked the upper property as well. We mainly stayed upstairs but this basement property had enough rooms to accomodate another group. Very nicely decorated. We mainly used the extra batbroom.

The cutest Alpaca farm!

We loved the farm and getting to feed all the Alpacas. The house was very clean and comfortable. There is an upstairs above you and the people above us were very heavy footed. They do provide ear plugs and it didn't impede our sleep at all. We absolutely loved it and would definitely go back!

Mountain Escape

We had the best time on the farm with our little boy. Despite a snowstorm that made getting there a little touch and go, with the help of Kim we made it just fine and had a great nights stay. The VRBO came complete with a snowman kit, and the alpaca adventures were a family hit too! We would love to come back to visit any time we could and would highly recommend.

Alpaca My Bags

Our stay at the Sopris Alpaca Farm was pretty good. Kim was excellent at responding, the kitchen had plenty of cooking utensils, and visiting with the alpacas was enjoyable. The only thing keeping this from being a great stay was the noise level of the home itself. There was a family staying in the upstairs unit while we were there, and we could hear most every move they made. The furnace also made a clicking noise whenever it wasn’t on. The hosts did provide ear plugs, which definitely helped! I would just be aware of this if there are any light sleepers in your group. Overall though, it was a good stay!

So welcoming!

The property had some great outdoor spaces. Comfy Adirondack chairs to sip your favorite beverage and watch the sun set or the alpacas play. Kim is a great host who made us feel genuinely welcome. Located far enough off the beaten path but still close to local restaurants and stores.

A delightful stay!

A lovely little farm with great amenities, gracious hosts, and a laid back feeling that made for a pleasant, relaxing stay during our honeymoon trip. The alpacas were charming, and lots of fun to watch and feed! We are very thankful for getting the chance to experience it, and will definitely stop by here again the next time we pass through the area.

Adorable and spacious

This basement apartment exceeded all expectations! It was beautifully decorated, felt spacious and bright, and the beds were very comfortable. Kim was very warm, friendly, and let us spend some extra time with the alpacas (they are so cute!!). We had a great time, and definitely want to come back.

It was clean and comfortable! The kitchen had everything we needed, the bedrooms and living room had extra blankets, and the kitchen table was a great place to gather with friends. The alpacas were adorable and the farm cat was very friendly. It was lovely to sit outside at night and see the stars.

Majestic healing retreat

Amazing piece of paradise w/ so much love from the owners, & animals. It’s evident they pour 100% of their energy into everything on and around the farm. It’s immaculate, easily accessible, and plenty to keep you busy. We will be back.

My husband, Cory, and I love sharing our furry farm with the public. We bought the "53" in the fall of 2017 and spent the first year bringing this property back to life. We then opened our doors to the public. We have a rustic alpaca boutique, loaded with alpaca products. So much fun to browse and shop.

This property started off as a long term rental property. We decided to switch over to VRBO and are so delighted. We meet wonderful people and have the opportunity to share our alpacas! It truly is a wonderful life!!

We welcomed Ferdinand and Daisy Mae to our furry farm. Ferdinand is a Scottish highland bull and Daisy Mae is a Scottish highland heifer. They are adorable and love cow cuddles
