About this property

300 year old historic monument chateau

Built during the Rococo period, Le Chateau as it is known locally was originally constructed as the Mathieu de la Gorce Hotel during the 1720s with its estimated completion being circa 1750s. As a reflection of Le Chateau’s importance to the community’s development, it was classified as an historical monument in May 2001 and is a major tourist attraction in Chateauponsac.
