Desert Rendezvous is your oasis away from ordinary life with pool and hot tub

Welcome to Estancia Resort. Relax and enjoy Southern Utah in this spacious home. The generous kitchen, living and dining areas provide a feeling of openness and can accommodate a crowd. The floorplan has 4 bedrooms and each has its own attached bathroom. Two of the bedrooms have access to the wrap around balcony which overlooks the pool and recreation complex.

The fully equipped kitchen includes all the amenities to cook a feast. Of course, we have a coffee maker, mixer, crock pot, griddle, utensils, grilling tools, dishes for the crowd as well as plastic dishes for children and poolside drinks. There are plenty of places to eat; a high top dining table that seats 8, seating for 4 at the kitchen counter/bar, a round game table with seating for 4 and a highchair. The front balcony provides a BBQ grill, additional dining and lounging space. There is a laundry closet with a full-size washer and dryer to clean off the dirt after a nice, long hike.

An elevator helps access our 2nd floor unit and a luggage cart is always close at hand. There is ample parking for you and your toys.

The family friendly resort has a large, year-round, heated outdoor pool and hot tub, basketball court, pickle ball court and playground. With everything around the resort, there is no need to leave to have fun. We provide pickle ball equipment and a basketball. Or, simply relax in the sun or play cards at the game table.

Coming to St George to enjoy the outdoors?... There are 11 golf courses within 10 miles of the condo (several are within 5 minutes). Panoramic views are visible from the private balcony or from the comfort of the living room. Located just behind Estancia is incredible open land managed by the BLM. It offers miles and miles of hiking,
mountain biking and ATV trails are right outside the front door. Snow Canyon is a short 10 minute drive, Zion is a beautiful 45 minute drive away.

Other great activities in the area often include youth athletic tournaments, marathons, triathlons. As well as the well known Tuacahn amphitheater which offers plays, musicals, concerts, throughout most of the year – even Christmas shows.

Included with this rental is free & secured wireless wifi - be sure to bring your login/passwords for Netflix, Hulu or home cable provider login because we have transitioned to support your preferred streaming providers. There are TVs in the main family room and 3 of 4 bedrooms. Yet, with all the activities around St George, you may not use the TVs very much.

Your Safety is our #1 Concern! My 2nd Home, LLC was founded by a previous General Manager of a Wyndham Resort. She brought her extensive knowledge through years of training on customer safety to this business. The staff at My 2nd Home, LLC is always putting our guest's safety at the top of the list of priorities. We start by providing professionally laundered linens through American Linen Supply Company (ALSCO). This assures your sheets, towels, bathmats, etc. have been cleaned using commercial machines with boilers and commercial grade cleaners which kill more germs than a home washer/dryer can do. We also make sure every surface of the home is wiped down with commercial cleaners with bleach, paying special attention to items such as remote controls, doorknobs, cupboard handles, and anything within the home which are touched by hands on a regular basis. We provide single use products rather than large bottles of shampoos, soaps, etc. which have been used by previous guests. Our goal is for our guests to have a safe, enjoyable time staying at a My 2nd Home property, knowing that the home they are staying in has been cared for and cleaned by the best in the business.

Can I just live here please?!?

This place surpassed all of our expectations. We traveled with three couples and the number of rooms and beds available made it possible for multiple types of sleeping arrangements. Property was clean very well-maintained and the amenities were awesome. I will only look at staying here again, in fact I would ch age my travel plans just to make sure we were able to stay here when in the area. Also one important note, the elevator was an amazing amenity as some of the people we traveled with have a hard time with stairs.

Nice place. Plenty of bedrooms. Ended up using the fold out mattress on the floor in the bunk bed room, our granddaughter to tall for the top bunk and would not be able to clear the fan. Kitchen area and sitting area great, plenty of room for eating and socializing. We will stay there again!!

Comfortable home base for two families of four.

Great space for two families of four. Stayed a week and did our cooking in a well supplied kitchen. If you aren’t cooking, there aren’t good walking distance eating options. Pool and hot tub are great amenities, however the hot tub was popular with many guests. Showers in suites are open air and on the chilly side.

Perfect Little Oasis

This place is incredible. It was clean, modern and so luxurious. Four bedrooms, each connected to its own bathroom, a huge kitchen, connected patios and a grill! The pool was awesome and we swam twice every day. This place has everything you need for a comfortable getaway. We were all very impressed and happy!

Amazing property!

This place was absolutely perfect for our 3 night stay. It was much more spacious than expected and the pictures did it no justice! Lovely decor, plenty of places to sit and relax and the balcony was a place to chill. The rooms all have adjoining bathrooms which was so awesome for all of the couples. Kitchen is well-equipped, large and spacious. Extra roll-away beds, bedding and towels were super helpful too. We will be back! Fantastic place for a group or a family. Thanks!!

Customer Service

The Customer service was great. We got it late and they were able to take our call late at night trying to help us get into the unit. The roads in St George are tricky with all the construction, so getting there was a little difficult but once we were able to get into the unit Pam the emergency contact was nothing but helpful. Their team was great and would most definitely rent through them again.

Beautiful home

When we checked in we noticed a few things that I wanted to document that we didn't do. Such as stained carpet. Severely too. a hole in an ottoman. And a few little other things. We were in need of a plunger and when I contacted my contact person, it took a bit for a response. There was no plunger. We ended up buying our own. Next, the place was quite dirty. Dust on furniture. The couch had sticky spots and the floor felt tacky. Remotes for the tvs were dead. backs were missing to some of them. That all being said, it is a beautiful home with an amazing lay out!!! It was so so convenient for everyone to have their own bathroom. I do love the place. If I were to stay again, I would probably clean it myself first.

Batteries and Propane not included

Our stay grew increasingly more frustrating as the communication with the property management company was horrible. There were 10 of us in our crew and only 5 pool towels. We asked for 5 more towels and the manager promptly responded we'd have more in the morning (Saturday). Well, we didn't get more towels until the day before we were leaving (Tuesday). On Sunday afternoon we went to use the grill and it was out of propane. We called for help and received an auto text they'd call right back. No one ever called back. The propane was never brought and we were never able to use the grill (which we'd planned on using multiple times). We were told it runs on natural gas from the unit but it was clearly not hooked up (I have pictures) and when we tried to communicate that to them we were led to feel as though we were wrong and they were right and again, no one ever called or came to bring more propane. Don't try to put the Lake Powell puzzle together as it's missing 15 pieces (just FYI). And, one of the bathrooms was completely void of soap, shampoo, and conditioner. Last, the Roku remote in the master was missing batteries. We paid on time and in full but if I could, I'd ask for a refund based on the crappy service. We will never choose to stay with a property managed by 2nd Home Vacay because they just take your money and could care less about picking up a phone and resolving an issue. A little effort would of gone a long way!!!

We were attending the plays at Tuachan for 3 nights. It was a short 20 minute drive. It was easy to find the property and it was lovely. Lots of space, beautifully decorated. The internet connection was terrible so if you need to work while you're there, you could have problems. There were a few things that need fixed - broken can opener, cupboard, rusted cookie sheets. They were pretty stingy with linens in kitchen and bathrooms. One hand towel for 4-5 days, one dish towel, one washcloth in bathrooms. But overall, we really enjoyed our time there.

Ty and Pam owned timeshares, and Pam was the general manager of a Wyndham timeshare resort while Ty owned and operated multiple quick lubes. But years ago they realized their timeshare quarterly fees just kept growing while usage of their timeshare kept shrinking due to the fact that the timeshares were rarely located in places they needed to travel for family events, etc. They hated using hotels/motels after being spoiled with the comforts of a timeshare, so they searched for a better option and started using marketing sites such as Airbnb and VRBO to rent vacation rentals. They soon discovered they could have the quality of a time share in locations wherever they needed, and not have to pay quarterly dues! So they sold their time shares, and over time, when it was time for Pam to take on a more regional role within the resort she managed, she decided she did not want to live the next several years in airports and cities nationwide with grandchildren close to home, so she and Ty decided to start their own business managing vacation rentals.

With Pam's experience in hospitality, the business has grown in leaps and bounds. They soon discovered that most vacation rental management companies come from a real estate background and have no knowledge of what it takes to operate a hospitality business. Pam knows that regulations to the vacation rental business are coming soon, so she insists on being ahead of the curve. This is why they have contracted with ALSCO for professionally leased and laundered linens. While most vacation rentals rely on their in-home washers and dryers, Pam knows from her training that only commercial washers reach temperatures hot enough to kill bacteria which can be brought into a rental home from guests traveling from anywhere in the world. Ty and Pam also discovered other management companies as well as personally managed properties allow various cleaning chemicals to be stored under cupboards or closets where children can easily reach, leaving the property owner with an unnecessary liability. As they began to manage homes which had previously been managed by other nightly rental management companies, they realized quickly that very few management companies had preventative maintenance programs in place, which Pam knows the importance of, to ensure the best condition of the property. Pam says, "Each property must have a baseline of cleanliness that must be brought back to after each guest stay. Straying from that baseline can cause long-term issues with a home that is unacceptable in hospitality standards and expectations."

Another concern Pam had was noticing that property management companies, as well as private managed homes, used either keys, (which can be easily copied) were stored in lock boxes with combinations which were rarely, if ever, changed. Or they were using inexpensive keypads which were also rarely changed. She knew there needed to be a better way to secure a property. So with a little investigation they discovered that WiFi locks were the latest technological advancement in the vacation rental industry and she insisted we needed to provide these locks for the properties we managed so we could ensure a new code for each guest which would activate at their arrival date at a specific time, and deactivate on the day of their departure, also at a specific time. Each vendor would also receive their own expirable code so that nobody could enter the property without her knowledge, thereby securing the property better than a key or cheap keypad lock ever could.

Pam's wealth of knowledge she has from her professional training, traveling to Seattle, Chicago, Las Vegas, Orlando, and countless more places over her years as a manager for Wyndham is priceless for property owners and guests alike. She brings a unique set of skills to the industry of vacation rentals which can be a great asset for a property owner wanting the best results from their 2nd Home.
