About this property

Beautiful Mountain Cabin near Tetons Yellowstone

Experience solitude and mountain living away from the crowds. This cabin is a great base camp to explore the Tetons, Wind River Mountains, and Yellowstone. The cozy cabin is remote yet has modern conveniences for up to 6.

From your private balcony you can listen to aspens, enjoy the solitude, and relish 3 private forest acres with abundant wildlife including resident moose and bear populations. With two bedrooms, kitchen with full-sized fridge and updated appliances, open floor plan, and cozy wood burning stove, you'll have a great retreat to relax after a day out in the mountains, fishing in the nearby river, or snowmobiling.

The Warm Spring Mountain Cabin sits at 8200 feet and is uniquely located at the junction of three mountain ranges (Wind Rivers, Gros Venture, and Absaroka), providing access to the continental divide and miles of trails, close proximity to fishing, mountain biking, and unlimited possibilities for adventure or relaxation in nature. This is the prefect basecamp to explore nearby wilderness areas, national parks, and national forests. A scenic 1 hour drive to Grand Teton National Park and 1.5 hours from Yellowstone, you'll be in the middle of the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem and all that is has to offer. The restaurants, museums, and art galleries of Dubois are only 20 minutes away.

Disclosure -
The cabin has an off-the-grid feel but has stable electricity and wifi. Water is hauled in from local spring to 1,000 gallon cistern. Guests are encouraged to conserve water during their stay. There are two web-based security cameras (one in front and one in back of house) to monitor place (mainly for bear activity and weather events) when the cabin is unoccupied. Cameras are disabled on check-in. Winter access is ski in with parking for vehicles and trailer 1/8 mile away at neighboring property.

Awesome mountain cabin

This property is really a hidden gem. High up in the mountains with beautiful views. We had deer visit us every day. Very well equipped. Good Wifi and we also had good cell reception (ATT). Convenient to Grand Teton but Dubois is a cute town and there are some nice hikes nearby

Five star communication

We can’t thank Steve enough for his kindness! We were unable to stay at his property due to the highway shutting down from the Fish Creek Fire and he was wonderful in keeping us updated and helping us navigate the situation. If we’re ever in the area again we know where we’ll be staying!

Great Experience

You feel like you almost have the entire mountain to yourself. It is so quiet and beautiful. I loved the deck it was a great place for me and my laptop to get some much-needed work done. I worried a little about the water situation but turned out to not be an issue at all. WIFI is great and was fast enough for anything we asked it to do.

Peaceful

Had a nice quiet time at the cabin. The same deer came around every evening. The kids got a kick out of that. Had some nice views from the porch of the mountains. Was a decent cruise up the mountain to the cabin, amazing views of the mountains and the valley on way up. Pay attention to the direction that you are given by the host NOT google maps. Watch out for animals in the morning when going down the mountain you should see some. Overall great place very quiet.

Charming cabin in the woods, lovely covered deck!

We loved this place! Rustic and tucked away – but warm and cozy with all the amenities you need. Lots of natural light coming through many windows. Classic mountain cabin with two acres to yourselves. Lovely lookout clearing on the property with view of The Ramshorn across the valley. 15 minutes to downtown Dubois. One hour 15 to Jenny Lake. 35 minutes to Ring Lake. Good propane grill on deck, started first click every time. Shaded deck was great for working outside and had great and reliable internet for whole stay. Space heaters well-placed. Wood burning stove in main living area. Nice fire pit outside. We packed lite because unit had everything we needed. Wake up to sunrise on the deck. Brought our dogs - they loved it. Place is secluded but road is good. Drove our Tesla Y everywhere without issues and charged at the cabin with our standard mobile charger every night and got about 5-6 miles per hour. Faster charger available at Black Bear Inn in Dubois. Very helpful and responsive hosts - always quick with any solution or just advice on where to go or what to see. Will definitely stay here again!

Why they chose this property

We've been coming to the Tetons to camp, hike, and climb since we were young. This property is in the heart of the mountains and is a great base-camp for doing all of the outdoor activities we love. We really want to share our cabin with others that enjoy the outdoors as much as we do.
