In town for my Sister’s wedding. Stayed here for the weekend. Danny, the host, was easy to communicate with. Place was charming and very comfortable. Beds were comfy as advertised. Downtown Frederick is easily walkable, and hwy 70 was easy to get to to branch out further. Will stay here again if available the next time we are in town.
Great location in downtown Frederick. Cozy and comfortable accommodation with great historic vibes and modern amenities. We would definitely stay here again.
The "train depot" is very comfortable, clean, and well designed. It is spacious, allowing us to celebrate our son's birthday with immediate family. The owner has done a great job managing the property and communicates well. We hope to stay there again on our next visit to Frederick.
what a beautiful standalone building within walking distance to everything you would want to get to in downtown Frederick. This VRBO is so well designed and was so cozy and comfortable. The host had great communication and even offered up a list of local restaurants that him and his wife enjoy. We cannot wait to come back to this location.
We enjoyed our stay at this beautifully restored train depot in downtown Frederick. Easy check in/out ; easy access to parking deck located behind house; lovely art work displayed throughout; abundance of paper supplies & cooking implements; open & airy; excellent contact & communication with owner; walkable location to all the breweries, restaurants, lovely canal walk in downtown Frederick!
We really enjoyed our stay in Frederick at the renovated train depot. The place was well appointed, decorated in a fun, but trendy train theme. Checkin and out was super easy and being located right by the canal park made walking around in the historic area super easy. Our host made some great eating recommendations. We had lunch at The Wine Kitchen and our meals were delicious! Highly recommend checking out that spot if you come for a visit.
Right in the heart of downtown Frederick, this place is a gem. Close to everything, convenient parking, and the check-in process was a breeze. Highly recommend!

Cute location
Great place for one or two couples. The common areas weren’t really suitable for sleeping—the sofa that turns into a bed wasn’t comfortable as a sofa or a bed. The place was very clean. The first floor shower was really small (I think the door may have been put on backwards because it was difficult to get in and out). Convenient location. Lock on front door appeared damaged and you can hear the conversation from every passerby. The blinds didn’t offer much in the way of privacy. The place was cute
My family had a nice time at the train depot, the house is well spaced out and modern. It also has good location to the restaurants and breweries in downtown Frederick. The house is located right along the creek so it is quick to get to any places nearby. There are some homeless that are close by but they did not cause any issue besides one person that placed their belongings on the backside of the house where it says no trespassing. They left once they saw me come outside but there wasn’t any problems just something to be mindful since there is a parking garage right next to the house. The house is also very clean but there was some hair that we found at the head of bed and some small flies which was not a big deal but otherwise it was spotless. I am glad that I had the opportunity to stay at such a unique historic place and got to enjoy downtown Frederick with everything in walking distance!
This place was extremely clean, well stocked, comfortable beds and most importantly, so close to many restaurants and the canal area! We are 2 retired couples who had a wonderful 2 days in Frederick! I wish we could have stayed longer! The location and uniqueness of this place was spectacular! Will definitely book again if we are back in this area! Do not hesitate to book this property!
We had a wonderful stay at the Train Depot. The location was phenomenal with everything downtown and along the canal within walking distance. The house had plenty of room and parking was perfect with an included pass to the garage which was right next door. Danny was extremely responsive and checked in with us once we arrived to make sure there were no issues. He was also spot-on with recommendations for places we should try. We will definitely return.
This extremely well renovated historic site could not possibly be in a better location for exploring Frederick. Danny was very responsive and checking in and out were easy. Keep in mind it's an historic site at the intersection of two streets, half a block from the art center and a lovely bridge across the creek - all positives, but you do need to keep privacy in mind. Sort of like a condo at the beach right on the boardwalk. Regardless, we're already talking about this spot becoming our go-to in Frederick!
We enjoyed our weekend in Frederick and LOVED the property we stayed in! Everything was as shown in the listing and it was even better in person. The owner thought of everything to make the stay great and was quick to respond when I asked a question.
We had a wonderful stay at the depot. It was easy to communicate and questions were answered promptly. The information provided about the property was accurate and everything was of very good quality - fluffy towels, soft sheets, nice housewares. Highly recommend!
I cannot tell you how much we enjoyed our stay in Frederick!! The train depot was unbelievable - we actually squealed when we got out of the car and saw it in person. The property was so clean and included everything we needed. Location was perfect - we walked everywhere.
Great and responsive host, the Depot was well appointed, and location was in the heart of Frederick, exactly where we wanted to be!

About the host

I grew up in Montgomery County Maryland, moved to Frederick in 1999 for about 6 years and fell in love with the small town feel. I lived Southern California for 11 yrs and then moved to Hawaii, but always come back to visit Frederick. My home away from home. Have always loved the historic buildings in Frederick and I love restoring them back to their original beauty for others to enjoy. I was in construction for about 15 yrs and loved the work, but didn't like the long hours. I walked away from construction and have been a full-time network marketer and real estate investor since the early 2000s. I got married in 2017 to an amazing woman and we decided to move to the Dallas area. My wife and I enjoy traveling around the world, exploring new places and learning about different cultures . Life is meant to be lived and have fun with the people you love! I hope you enjoy our unique properties as much as we do.
Why they chose this property
This train depot is a big part of history. This is the second oldest train depot in the United States. The oldest was actually in its place and was torn down and this one was built. Its next to Carroll Creek and downtown bars and breweries.
What makes this property unique
I fell in love with the fact that its a train depot and has a loading dock for a front porch and that train tracks ran right by the front door. It was a mess when I bought it but saw what incredible potential it had. I knew people would enjoy staying here.
