Walnut Mountain was a great place to visit - central to a lot of different sights and small towns. The property had nice views of distant mountains and was a comfortable home away from home to come back to after long days out.
Very relaxing weekend. A little out of the way but short drive to Ellijay and Blue Ridge. Nice place to kick back and enjoy the north Georgia mountains.
Wonderful place with everything you need. Even the dog bowls were provided! The option of being on the screened porch or the open deck was perfect. We saw deer multiple times a day and bears wandering through quite frequently. Centrally located with our favorite wineries, breweries, and restaurants within a 20 minute drive. There are several nice hiking trails near by with a new one within the neighborhood, too. A big thank you to our hosts. Looking forward to our next visit!
The cabin was absolutely adorable. Absolutely quiet and peaceful....tucked away in the woods. The architecture of it was storybook.
Communication with Michael was easy and prompt.
We wish we could have stayed longer.....
This quaint cabin is EvRy thing I wanted to experience in Ellijay, GA for 10 days. We saw lots of wildlife and enjoyed the weather in June...not as hot as Tampa! Walnut Mountain is perfect with its paved roads, gated and maned entrance, Olympic pool and courts! Everything was close and the home itself was very cozy. The only thing I wondered is if they were to cut some of the trees would there be a mountain view? Hope to come back over in October and next June!
We stayed three weeks at this lovely, well-appointed cabin. There was a heat wave during most of our stay, but the elevation of Walnut Mountain allowed us to spend most of our time on the screen porch. The kitchen had everything we needed for an extended stay. Every communication we had with our hosts was responded to within an hour. I highly recommend this lovely cabin to you. Don’t miss it!
This cabin is absolutely perfect! We stayed 10 days over the Christmas/New Year holidays and we had so much fun. We immediately felt at home as did our little pups. The cabin was decorated for Christmas with 2 Christmas trees, stockings and other holiday decor…so homey❤️! The hosts are wonderful, very accommodating. They even warned us of potential snow on one of the days we were there. We have stayed in many pet friendly cabins through the years but this by far was the cleanest. If you didn’t know it was pet friendly, you wouldn’t know. We are definitely going back! Thank you so much!
I don’t usually leave reviews, but I enjoyed my month long stay here for March in this dog friendly home so much that I had to write one. This home is located in a gated community. The host left a gate key for me to use during my stay that made coming and going very easy. The area is very quiet, peaceful, and beautiful. It’s rustic but has all the amenities needed to make it very comfortable. There is a deck that wraps around two sides of the home with beautiful views through the forest and of surrounding mountain peaks. The tree leaves were just starting to bud while I was there, so I could see pretty far into the distance. The deck is closed on each end and accessible only through 3 different interior doors with plenty of windows, so I could let my beagle sit outside and bathe in the sun without worry she would escape. The roads through the community are narrow, curvy, and steep. This is not something I was used to coming from Chicago where the roads are generally level and straight. It took a bit of getting used to, but then became fun driving through the area. There were many days my dog and I didn’t even need to leave the community. The streets were quiet enough that we could walk on them and even found a couple of trails to explore. I also saw small groups of deer wandering around several times. I would definitely stay here again.
La cabaña en si está esta buenísima muy completa... el dueño demasiado atento. Solamente tienen que mejorar la limpieza es lo único.. nos quedamos una semana y fue excelente el hospedaje.
We loved this cozy cabin with the great balcony and enjoyed fresh mountain air. The house was clean, kitchen has all the basics; and the beds were comfortable. The shower downstairs was not usable so we used the one upstairs. The main concern was the parking area which is not leveled and which caused us an issue (and a tow truck service) when backing out of the parking area to the street. The owners were very responsive and overall, we had a great experience.
We had an awesome experience and the host was amazing from beginning to end, so helpful and fast response to my many questions. The house is beautiful, everything you could need or want in a house and the beds were so, so comfortable, plenty of towels, toiletries, kitchen also had everything for making great meals. And the decks are totally awesome!!! Can't say enough! We are already looking forward to another stay at this mountain gem! :)
Great little place to stay and enjoy the fall leaves. Location is close to so much and Rachael & Michael were so easy to communicate with for anything we needed.
Cabin was in a great location, only 10 minutes from Ellijay and yet private! Enjoyed the porch and deer. Cabin had everything we needed and had charming decor. Master bed was comfortable and laundry room was convenient. Host was timely in communications. Would definitely stay here again!
I loved the neighborhood, the canopy of trees hanging over the deck, and the summertime temps but most of all I loved the forest surrounding the house and neighborhood, the deer and wild turkeys, and the 60-100 foot tall trees. I stayed here with my three pups and rarely left the property other than for groceries. Would definitely stay here again.
Really cute cabin nestled in the trees. The cozy cabin was clean and well stocked with essentials. Plenary of wild life to view while sitting on the deck. The pool was refreshing after long days on the softball field. The owners responded quickly to messages and made transactions seamless.

My name is Michael my wife, Rachel, and daughters, Rylee and Evelyn bought this cabin so we could spend some quality time as a family. We have made so many memories with our girls so far. We named it Happily EvRy After after our Disney loving girls Evelyn and Rylee. We live in the Sunshine State and love our beaches but we always wanted that piece of heaven in the mountains too!
Why they chose this property
We traveled to this area for Christmas one year and after that we knew we wanted to own our own home here. There is so much to do for families or an adult getaway. We are close to downtown Ellijay and Blueridge which offer many things throughout the year. One of our favorite things to do is visit the antique shops in the local cities. There are many wineries and apple picking farms near by. Also, not too far for day trips to Helen, GA, Chattanooga, TN and more!
