Pre early morning Ferry stop over
A very nice stop over on a long journey. Menus might have been a little more accurate. eg battered Brie pieces no cranberry sauce!

Charming, clean, comfy
We enjoyed our stay. The room was neat and comfortable and the staff was friendly and welcoming. And we enjoyed the delicious breakfast in the morning! We have given four instead of five stars because there was a private part at the pub that night, which hindered our dinner options greatly and music we could hear clearly in our room playing late into the evening. The location of the inn was not near by any other options for dinner, so that was a bit unfortunate.

Clean and comfortable
This room is above a nice pub. It is clean, the bed us comfortable, and it has a private full bath. The food at the pub is good, workers were all courteous and friendly. Free breakfast was included. Only 10 minutes from Cliffs of Dover. Easy to get to and from the pub/hotel. We would stay here again and would recommend. There are stairs, so if you have difficulty with them, you may not want to consider. Otherwise it was great staying here!

Gem in the rough
I thought I could walk from the train station to the room with my big suitcase-1/2 mile "easy-peasy". NOT! Sidewalks are uneven, sometimes non-existent! Roads were narrow, not safe to walk on. So-get a taxi unless you have little gear. Now, once there, the Pub is quaint, charming and welcoming. My room was smaller than I expected, but I did not need huge. Old brick & beam wall was comfortable. Stairs going up to rooms are narrow, original to old building. No TV. Bath narrow, adequate. Peaceful night sleep. The pub had great food, was busy with lots of locals. Host and chef very friendly and accommodating. Nice patios for outside dining. Pet friendly. Full breakfast included. Perfect to start the day. And I got a taxi to take me back to the train station!

Goede locatie
Op doorreis naar Schotland, een goede locatie om te overnachten. Kamer was klein en matige overlast van de compressor van de koeling. Maar het ontbijt was heel goed, en met liefde verzorgd.

Quaint cute room above pub
My husband and I stayed 2 nights at this nice pub/bed and breakfast. The staff were all great and the locals were amazing people! Quiet place within 30 min to Canterbury and a few miles from the cliffs of Dover. We really enjoyed our time.

Quaint and Comfortable
Our only (small) glitch was that our room number wasn’t on our reservation, so access was impeded slightly (the barmaid was able to tell us). This property is not suitable for people wit mobility issues, but otherwise lovely. The rooms have been modernized nicely.
