About this property

Cozy Mid-Century Craftsman

This freshly updated 1920's Craftsman home is right in the heart of San Diego. Situated in the east side of North Park, right by the bustling (and rapidly growing!) University Avenue. Literally minutes away from some of the best tourist attractions, restaurants, bars, breweries, music venue, etc. that San Diego has to offer. We integrated a seamless check-in/check-out process and minimal interaction for your privacy and convenience.

The space:
Upon booking, you will receive a code to unlock the front door. Once inside, you will find a gate FOB on the kitchen counter that would allow you to access the parking at the back of the property. Access to parking is through the alley. One vehicle would fit in our designated parking. On cold nights, get cozy in front of our gas fireplace, an additional space heater is also provided and could be found in the Master's Bedroom. San Diego is known for its perfect weather year round. For that reason, we only have air conditioning in the Master's Bedroom, but there are ceiling fans through out the house. Our TV's are equipped with streaming services such as Hulu and Netflix. High speed WiFi is also available within the property. An iron, ironing board, and hair dryer are also provided for your convenience which are all located in the Master's Bedroom.

Guest access:
Guests will have access to the entire home, laundry shed, backyard, and parking.

Other details to note:
Self-check-in with a Smart Lock

A maximum of two dogs are allowed per reservation. There is an animal cleaning fee of $60 per animal. A separate charge will be requested for this and must be paid prior to check-in. Also, please make sure that they don't join you up on the bed or any of the furniture.

While we love all animals, we do not allow cats at this rental to keep it friendly for guests with cat allergies. Unfortunately, they are not allowed unless they are a service or therapy pet. If you are traveling with a service or therapy pet, we'll just need to see the proper documentation. Thank you in advance for your understanding!

An EV charging outlet (240V, adapter is not provided) is on the shed by the parking space and is available to use for a one-time fee of $20 for the duration of your stay.

If items are left behind, shipping and handling will need to be paid in advance on top of a $15 convenience fee.

If the gate key FOB is lost or damaged, a fee of $100 will be required.

For stays longer than 28 days, you must agree to sign a lease agreement on the day of check-in.

No frills but does the job!

This house does have enough room for 4 people and was clean and I appreciate that they’re pet friendly (even though we didn’t end up bringing our pet). I will say the neighborhood isn’t the best. It’s quite noisy (although I could still sleep) and you do have to drive in via an alley that’s a little scary at night. The host was friendly and communicative though. I think at a lower price point, this could be a good place to stay if you’re visiting the area.

Good times were had!

We booked this cozy home for a night out with long time long distanced friends and family. We were totally group of 10 not including kiddos, but only my husbandand 1 and a couple of our close friends stayed. Our host was SUPER accommodating! He had great communication before and after our stay and was very understanding of our requests. The kitchen was super nice as well and useful when we got hungry again. The bathrooms were pristine and very comfortable water pressure as well as amenities withing hands and eyesight for easy use and access. The rooms themselves were very clean and cozy. If I did have one comment to mention, it would be that the main bedroom bathroom door is a sliding door without a latch; but with the assistance of a nearby basket full closure was attainable. Overall we had an amazing stay, I only wish we were able to stay longer to fully enjoy the comfort of this house.

Nicely Updated House

This is an older one story house that has been nicely updated. Beds were comfortable and the secure parking behind the house was a real plus because street parking is nonexistent in this area. Temps were in the 50's during our visit and we were initially confused as to the source of heat, which turned out to be from the small electric heaters located in each bedroom which did not heat the house consistently. The house is adequately furnished overall and the only negative we experienced was the lack of non-stick skillets and spatulas in the kitchen which would have made cooking a lot easier. The house is in an older part of town but we experienced no issues walking around or with excessive noise and would stay there again.

Dirty Bug-Infested Property

The key fob to open the rear gate to park my car was broken upon arrival. I had to jump the back fence into the alley to get my car out the following morning since the keypad was only accessible from the alley. The first night there, my girlfriend was bitten by a spider in the house. Upon further inspection, it was noticed that the window air conditioner unit was improperly, installed with gaps all around, allowing critters to enter the premises. I also found various hairs and food crumbs and spiderwebs throughout the residence. We ended up having to leave a day early to seek out medical treatment. As a result of the host only agreed to refund a small fraction of the total cost of my stay. I had to cancel plans with friends as a result.

Fun Stay

We were in town for a show, this home was close to where we were going as well as everything else we wanted to check out in our short stay. We chose this as an alternative to a shared hotel room for four people.

San Diego get away

The house is an older Craftsman style with two beds and two baths which was ideal for our group, two couples. Once we understood how the electric gate ,to the back of the property worked , it was easy to access the house. We had a few minor issues but they were addressed promptly. We don’t have pets but the house is ideal for dogs since the backyard is open and level, and the floors are laminate or tile. The house was conveniently located , not too far from the Zoo, Coronado Island, or the Wildlife park. The beds were comfortable and plenty of closet space with drawers. The kitchen, while being minimally equipped, had nice appliances.

Great location but lacking some things

The location for our stay was perfect and the beds were comfortable but a few things were off. Some basic in home essentials were missing including cleaning suplies, dishwasher detergent, and adequate towels. The over all cleanliness of one of the bathrooms was lacking concerning the toilet. Otherwise really nice space in an ideal location.

Centrally located between the 15 and 805

Paulo and Emmanuoulle were great hosts. Very responsive to our questions. The place is right off University Ave between 15 and 805. It was easy to get to all the places we wanted to visit. Very nicely remodeled bathrooms and kitchen.

San Diego Stay

It was a nice place to stay the neighborhood was awesome you have a little bit of everything. I loved the supermarkets nearby and restaurants. San Diego climate has changed it does get a little nippy at night during the fall and winter. I like that they are pet friendly and of course you have to give common courtesy and pick up after your pets. I felt comfortable walking my dog I had no issues but I noticed that on the outside once we walked outside the house nobody picks up after their dogs that’s very nasty and disgusting. Overall it was great staying there. The property manager assisted me with a quick response.

San Diego Trip

I do not often write reviews, but I feel others need to know about this location…My family and I stayed at this Bungalow while visiting San Diego. The actual place is cute with two rooms and two restrooms. Unfortunately, the neighborhood is questionable… the place is surrounded by apartments all around it and the noise level during the day and night is loud. There was a party going on in one of the buildings the first night we stayed there, so the music and noise level was loud throughout the early morning hours. Pulling in and out of the parking space is challenging. It’s a tight fit with the gate and you are entering and exiting through an alleyway, so you have to maneuver your way in and out. If you’re looking for a quiet place to rest during your trip, this will not provide that for you. We paid a high price to stay here for two days, but I feel that we would have been better off in a hotel…

Cute place, helpful host

The house is charming, clean and well-decorated, and it looks as described in the listing. It has all the basics you would need plus a few nice touches. The host was communicative and helpful. Overall I would recommend. Only thing to be aware of is that the property is in between North Park & City Heights rather than North Park proper, and there is noise at night from people in the apartment buildings nearby, some vacant buildings etc.

Great stay

The inside of the home was clean and taken care of. Communication with host was perfect and met all of our questions with care. Larger vehicles may have a hard time parking in the provided parking spots due to the small gate entrance. Overall great stay !
