The property was very clean. It was well laid out. We would have liked a box of facial tissue and some body wash, but other than that it was well supplied. Both the back door and back gate scrape loudly when closed and need a little work.
We enjoyed the neighborhood location and available parking. The 1890’s home has all the modern comforts. The front porch was so inviting and we used it daily after sightseeing. We will definitely return in the future.
The description of the property was spot on! It was located just a short walk to Forsythe Park, Kroger and Jones Street. Check in was a breeze and the place was spotless. The house had all of the charm we were expecting. We loved having the extra 1/2 bath and the offstreet parking (which we only used our last night there). As to the comments about the "sketchy" neighborhood: Savannah is a city and like most cities, there are areas where you need to be aware, at night. The immediate area was very nice, tree lined and the homes were well kept. The homes are selling in the range of 1 to 2 million, if that helps anyone with their decision. We absolutely would consider staying here again when we return to Savannah!
We enjoyed staying at this house. It is located within easy driving distance to the downtown/historic areas. The accommodations were great and we had everything we needed for our long weekend stay. We loved the easy access to the wifi/tv and the house book was great with plenty of recommendations for dining. Parking was easy on the street, we never had to park behind the house. We even enjoyed laughing about the "ghost" staying with us, drawers and doors would be found opened while we were sleeping or away. I'm sure it was from the historic nature of the house!
We've been happy here! Kroger 2 blocks away, parking off street, landscaping beautiful and a bonus 1/2 bath. Kitchen has all basic tools to make a good meal, private deck in rear makes relaxing easy! Bed is very comfortable but recommend you bring a firestick as the channels are limited. Only critique is that there should be an extra set of linens for extended stays like mine; there is laundry but one on one off would be better 😉.
Very nice neighborhood. Historical neighborhood. Easy access to most everthing I wanted to see. Grocery store in easy walking distance. Would stay again.
Property managers were quick to help with any problems we encountered, and the apartment felt just like home. It was close to all the tourist spots we were interested in, and we'll be back again.

Pleased overall.
This was our first time trying VRBO. The experience was pleasant overall. The apartment was clean. The bed was comfortable and linens were clean. No one was upstairs, so it was quiet. The price was reasonable. I enjoyed studying the architecture and imagining how the house and neighborhood were, when they were new. I had miscalculated our departure date, and thought we had another night. The manager was polite and professional. Thankfully, it was available one more night.
Also, this house is 100+ years old. The floors are slanted and warped. Floor tiles are broken and there are unexpected stoops. If you have vertigo or dizziness issues, this isn't the choice for you. The bath has a high step-over and the shower surround isn't even attached to the wall; don't touch it. Banana-peel throw rugs are throughout. The ceiling fans have short pulls, so you must stand on a chair/stool to adjust the fans or lights. (I like sleeping with the fan on, lights off.) I'd recommend cheap and easy chain extensions. There are instructions to leave the thermostat on 78 when you leave, so the house smelled like you'd expect a warm, musty old house to smell upon our arrival.
The off-street parking was convenient, The alley had considerable garbage and smelled of marijuana much of the time. We did not get burglarized during our stay; that was a nice plus.
In summary, I would not choose to stay here again. I also would not deter someone else from this exciting adventure. We thoroughly enjoyed it.
Check in was a breeze just a code sent to email for the locks. Communication with host was fast and helpful. Had no issues during our stay. It is an older home and it shows in the plaster and flooring but hey that's character and expected for an old place. Was close enough to walk to all the squared and river. Would visit again.
Enjoyed the property very much - clean, quaint, all as pictured and bigger than I expected. I especially enjoyed the front room with large windows overlooking the street and the master bath off the bedroom.
A few things about the area in general if you’re visiting out-of-town. This part of the city is pretty popular, so with any listings with “available street parking” you’re taking a chance of no parking, particularly after working hours when folks are coming into town for food or entertainment especially around weekends. One of the great things about this listing was the alley parking which featured a gate to the backyard and a back door to the property. VERY convenient and needed. Back door worked fine and I had no concerns with the back porch.
While I was there we had a couple large storms which turned the whole street into a stream over the height of the curb. OK for higher crossovers but you probably wouldn’t want to park a low-to-the-ground sportscar up front in significant bad weather. A couple streets over water was up to car windows. Not a worry for me as I chose to park in back and was OK there. The temporary river was fun to watch from the front porch.
Host was helpful pointing out local conveniences but since I was there to visit with relatives as opposed to sightseeing or vacationing I didn’t take advantage of this. I liked how close the grocery store was.
No problems for me, I would stay here again and would recommend it as a location for others.
My stay was great. Only downside was thermostat set to 78 in the summer. Yes, there was a ceiling fan, but ac woulda been nice.
Other than that, Good enjoyed it.
Nice comfortable stay at lovely historic property. Improvements would be more than one teaspoon and a better shower head. My preschool daughter and I are probably not the target demographic for the house, but having all glass dishes were a concern for me with tile floors and marble counters. House location was a bit of a walk to downtown locations, but was accurately represented in listing.
This was a nice, simple, clean house in a mostly quiet neighborhood. The bed was comfortable and we enjoyed sitting on the front porch in the morning. The walk to Fosyth Park wasn't too bad and Tybee Island was only a 30 minute drive. It was really nice to have a guaranteed parking spot for the days we got back late! Thank you!

The house was in the historic district of Savannah and close (about 1mile) to the main shopping, restaurant and river front areas. An older area but felt very safe walking everywhere. The apartment was clean and had all the amenities listed on the website. Overall a very good experience.
