I’m going to keep this short and sweet. This is a review coming from GUYS who don’t care about cleanliness. This place has not been cleaned in maybe a year. Black floors, crumbs all around the rug and not to mention a live roach in one of the beds. Quite possibly the worst place I’ve ever stayed and this place should be taken down until they can prove they know how to clean.
Awesome host, great communication. Clean and handy to everything we needed to do. Couldnt have asked for anything better. Thanks for all your help and letting us stay at your place.
We booked this house for my sons wedding weekend so we would have a place closer to the venue and a place for the groom and groomsmen to get ready on the day of the event. The location was close to everything in a quiet neighborhood. Listing was exactly as described with my plenty of room for everyone.
We were in Texas for a family wedding and loved the room we had in this house. The back yard had a nice area to sit as well we just had lots of rain when we were here but it was covered and we still utilized it.
We had a great stay! Close to everyone and everything that we needed to be close to. A few minor issues when we first arrived but communication with our host was wonderful! Would definitely stay here again if needed!
Home & location were #1. Comfortable seating and comfortable beds. The back porch seating was most enjoyable; weather was perfect!
There is a problem with the internet connectivity. First day it seemed ok except we could not access ROKU. By the second day, our 5 cell phones, 2 laptops & 1 tablet could not connect to hilltophome wifi. Our cell phones were all WORKING off our cellular data. The tv in the living room never went to ROKU. We checked batteries in remotes, checked that plugs were securely seated (a couple seemed to be only partially seated), unplugged, replugged, but nothing changed. Tried the RESET button on one device. There were so many plugs and extension cords, a power strip, etc. Host Fedexed a new ROKU remote which made no difference. The tv in 4th bedroom kept flashing NOT CONNECTED TO INTERNET and would not allow me to connect. My cell phone kept telling me it could not connect to hilltophome.
A couple of other maintenance items:
The door threshold strip between the master bedroom and master bath is loose and if stepped on wrong, could cause a fall.
Also, master bath: we found a leak under the sink (left side knob) and a white bowl from the kitchen had already been placed under the knob to catch the drip.
Toilet in hallway bath: a tube became disconnected and water was running but tank was not filling. My son-in-law reattached the tube but he said there was no way to secure the tube so you might want to check that.
There were no trash bags under the sink (notebook said there were) and if you listed trash pickup days that would be helpful. We researched & found out Tuesday & Friday are pickup days.
Overhead light is out in the garage; only the garage door light works and that garage is DARK after sundown unless you open garage door to activate that light.
It would be nice to have foldable luggage racks in each bedroom or bedroom closet. (The floor or the bed are the only existing options.) (we moved chairs into the closets to hold our suitcases and moved them back to the main room before we left.)
The vent in the hall bathroom was closed, and the vent in the master bath was very dirty. The large vent in the hallway also needs a good cleaning.
The list may seem long but we thought we should mention these things. As a host you may not personally check the house every week.
Oh, and in the notebook emergency numbers: PLANO POLICE?!?
However, my husband and his Vietnam buddy had a great visit.
We rented this house for my daughter and all her bridesmaids to stay at the night before the wedding. One last fun girls night to share before she was off and married! They all said it was great stay.
Clean house in a nice and quiet neighborhood. Spacious home and good aminities ( Keurrig, nesspreso machine, air fryer, charcoal grill).
The kids/bonus room has to be accessed thru the garage, we had 3-4 year olds so I wasn’t comfortable with them sleeping in there by themselves but older kids would be fine. (In my opinion)
Overall great experience
Loved this property, it was perfect for our family for a wedding we were in town for. Lots of space for the kids to move around, they loved climbing the tree in the backyard and they had lots of space for football and other things in the large backyard. House was clean, well stocked, owner stayed in constant communication with me throughout our state to make sure that we did not need anything. 5 out of 5! We would definitely stay here again if ever in Weatherford.
