We were only 7 persons, it’s a big house! Overall, a very nice stay, missing some elements that would have raised my score, like a reading lamp in the FR, a washer and dryer is a must for a 5 star worthy property IMHO, Some beach towels to use after the hot tub, would have been nice. The bathroom and bedrooms need hooks to hang wet suits and towels. The Beds were just ok. Nicely stocked kitchen for cooking meals. Nice hot tub. Beautiful home on the approach, I would recommend for a group of 8-10 as that size group would make the cost a better value.
This was our third stay at this cabin. We love it and the location. The large family room is the biggest draw. The dining room could use a few more chair for the number of people the cabin holds. It’s hard to gather around for dinner with more than four people. And like last year, we still had trouble with the stove and oven working. We also had an issue with the fridge freezing the fridge food and ice building up in freezer. Overall it’s our favorite location for a quiet girls weekend.
We absolutely enjoyed our relaxing long family weekend at the ranch. Our parents are in their 80's and cannot travel long distances anymore so the this was a perfect spot to escape from the City and enjoy some family time. We also have a son in a wheelchair so the ramp and 1st floor bedroom was a must. The house was clean & had everything needed. The mattresses may need to be upgraded or it could just be that we aren't used to firm mattresses. We also thought we would be able to fish in the pond. However, the cows made that impossible as they used it as their cooling area LOL! You can't control nature! It was a great retreat, and we would stay again.
We had a great time there were 8 of us. The location was nice and isolated with a beautiful house. Comfy, spacious with everything you could possibly need.

Our family had a wonderful stay at the Lodge. It was clean and very comfortable. Very responsive to our needs and very close to Hocking Hills. Enjoyed our time and definitely will be back!
Clean, peaceful, spacious, well stocked with supplies/towels. No issues with cell service (T-Mobile at least) and Internet worked well even for streaming (one TV). I would definitely come back. Hot tub was great, cow pastures also :).
Beautiful lodge, well stocked and in a gorgeous location. We were 15 minutes from Ash Cave and not far from other Hocking Hills locations. We had a fabulous time celebrating some milestone birthdays with family and friends.
This is the send time we choose this property for our weekend getaway and we’d do it again. Everything is as described. The living room seating is perfect to kick back and just relax and chat.
If we were to critique one thing it would be the need for a bigger dinner room table. When playing games it was hard to fit us all around with just four chairs.
You will not be disappointed staying here. We’ll definitely look to book again in 2024!
This was amazing weekend getaway. House is beautiful as well as the property. Plenty of room to spread out. Great response time from owners, super friendly. The living room was super cozy to sit around and chat and watch movies. We will definitely be back!
This was the perfect getaway for our family. A peaceful quiet place in the country. The house was spacious and the children enjoy the hot tub!! Was recommend staying here…
My friends and I decided to stay with Tracey and Kendra at Maw and Paw’s for one last summer get-together and we could not be happier with our trip! The house is very clean and has incredible views. We spent every night outside, even when it rained, to watch the sky over the hills. The cows on the property always had us laughing with their small moos and the sunsets were unforgettable. Not only are the hosts beyond caring, they have prepped the house more than any that I have stayed at. I ended up bringing so many things that we didn’t need because they were so kind! The house is about 20-25 minutes from the state park and it’s so scenic on the way. The hot tub is a fantastic touch as we loved having a quick dip after a hike. I could not recommend the place enough - in fact my dad is looking to visit the same spot since my friends and I had such a great time!! Kendra and Tracey are amazing hosts!!
Met here for the weekend with our adult sons and their families, 5 adults and 3 kids. Each adult/couple had their own bedroom and the boys happily took the bunkroom.
Lodge was perfect for a family weekend! We played games, spent quite a bit of time on the porch, enjoyed the hot tub and just had a great time being together!
Lodge was clean. Check in was easy. Communication was great.
Thanks for sharing your family Lodge with us- we made some wonderful memories!
We loved this huge log home! It was very clean and perfect for several adults and children. Our favorite part was the beautiful front porch- we sat outside and visited, played games and each morning met there for coffee! Highly recommend!
This was a great location. Great family room space and lots of room for kids to run around. Fifteen-twenty minutes from Ash Cave, Old Man's Cave, and Lake Hope. Millstone BBQ was close and was great.
House was amazing, the property was beautiful to look at especially at sunrise and sunset!

Hello! We are a small town family owned farm carrying on our parents/grandparents legacy. It brings us a level of comfort being around their property everyday and doing what they asked us to do when they left this earth.
Why they chose this property
We are so excited about our space! Let's talk about the inside and then we will move onto the outside.
Inside we offer space and amenities for the ideal place to have a family gathering, reunion, or retreat with friends and colleagues. We have a fully furnished kitchen and bar area. Adjoining the kitchen is our dining room with a cathedral ceiling and custom built fireplace. The family room seats 14 people with two sectional couches and four recliners with plenty of room to spare. You will find your first bathroom on the main floor that features a jacuzzi tub and shower. Across from the main level bathroom will be the first bedroom featuring a Queen size bed. Upstairs, you will find the remaining three bedrooms and another bathroom. Bedroom two offers a King size bed. Bedroom three offers a queen size bed. Bedroom four offers two sets of Amish made FULL size bunk beds. The main level complies with ADA guidelines and we offer a wheelchair ramp on the back deck for access.
Outside is the perfect place to disconnect and rediscover the beauty of nature. You will be sitting on a gorgeous hill overlooking a catch and release fishing pnd. The private deck includes plenty of places to sit, a porch swing, and a picnic table. Theres a gas grill on the front porch too. Behind the lodge you can enjoy miles of mapped hiking trails and wildlife.
What makes this property unique
Our Dad/Paw built this Lodge with his own two hands for our Mom/Maw. He logged the wood off this property, sawed it himself at his sawmill, then brought it here in the middle of their cow field and built it. The blueprint of this lodge was done on a piece of scrap paper with a pencil over morning coffee and a Marlboro Red. Everything you see, he handcrafted. Even the Kitchen Cabinets. It took him ten years to build this dream. This Lodge is one of the many ways that their love and memory will always go on.
