older place

We like the fact that this cabin was an older one. It gave it "character" which we liked. When we got there the refrigerator wasn't working. We called and they quickly sent out a guy to fix it. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would stay there again.

Not as pictured but OK

They def over charge for this property as compared to other bigger properties we have rented. Property management or owner needs to better maintain property. Bin outside was broken, patio chairs dry rotted and broken, dusty walls, leaking fridge, fridge alarm kept going off, etc. its not a bad cabin just seems neglected. It is on flat ground and a good location. Good stock of dishes and cookware. Beds are comfy. More ideal for a couple who wants privacy not a family

Major Disappointment

The property was filthy and rundown. The furniture was broken and couches had holes. The dishwasher was broken and leaked water all over the floor. The location was 30 mins from civilization. To top off the vacation, we found bedbugs in the upstairs bedroom. I want my money back!

Great location

This was a wonderful location. It was easy to get to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. The cabin was beautiful and it was very peaceful being at the end of a small lane off the main road. The back door does make a loud noise but I’m sure it’ll be fixed soon. We would stay here again.

Hope to stay at Springview again!

We loved Springview and it’s location was perfect for us and our son, daughter-in-law and grandson! It’s in a great location and it offers privacy, peace and quiet. We loved going on early evening walks with our 19 month old grandson. Springview is on a dead end road with little to no traffic. We enjoyed sitting on the back deck watching the rabbits, turkeys and geese. If you like cabin communities then this cabin’s location will be a disappointment for you. The cabin is older with older furnishings but it was clean and met our needs. The beds are very comfortable! There is a new flat screen tv in the living room. The hardwood floors could use a little TLC but were clean so that wasn’t anything wr couldn’t live with. We were very impressed with the customer service we received…easy check in and checkout.

Cabin was not what we were led to believe.

We had to change to this cabin due to forest fire, which we were greatfull the property managers were able to do. However we were also told by the property owners this would be an upgrade being that it was by the lakes. It was not really by the lake, it was lake adjacent. Then they made us pay more because of this. The other cabin had a great view of things, a hot tub and pool table, also looked much nicer in the pictures. Also one night we had rain and it came down the wall and splashed me in the face waking me, I called managers they said they would have some one look at it. That was in the middle of the stay we never heard back frome Jackson Mountain Homes after that, we had to ask to be compensated for this and were told we would be put on the list for review of compensation. The walls had what could be described as scratch or scarring, the door handels to the bathrooms and bed rooms were loose It felt like they may come off, and a couple of the blinds were broken. The deck had nails coming up so i didn't let our 6 year old out to play in fear she would trip on them. And the gate going up the steps has a large screw sticking out the back that scratched me. This is the first time we used a service like this and the last we will go back to hotels.

Beautiful location

House is located at the end of a road in a small neighborhood with beautiful views of the mountains and a very small spring fed creek/puddle in the backyard. The neighborhood was quiet, but still located pretty close (15-20 min) to Pigeon Forge, Smokey Mountains National Park, and stores and restaurants. There were some things I wish I knew before our stay that I will outline here. While on initial arrival, after dark, the house looked ok. As our days went on there were obvious places where the home has been allowed to fall into a bit of disrepair. The fridge was not real cold the first couple days although it appeared to have some ice in it, froze everything days 3-4, then worked ok day 5. The furniture has been heavily used, holes/wear on worn out/uncomfortable couches, chair at the table in bad shape, and other oddities you notice if you try to use doors or drawers. House is not insulated between floors, we could stand in the downstairs bedroom and hold an entire conversation at normal volume with people in the bedroom above us. The floor in the house is cupping and is incredibly creaky day and night as well as if anyone walks around. Dishwasher does not stop running on its own and microwave was filthy which we also didn’t notice right away. It also appeared that someone comes to clean, but only does a mediocre job leaving lots of dust or cobwebs on blinds, window sills, the wall, and most corners. Hot tub also looked ok until further inspection revealed algae and particles floating in the water. Outdoor furniture was either broken or was an abnormally short picnic table. Air hockey table didn’t seem to work well and pool table was very worn and slanted. In general the house had a worn out esthetic that is not represented in the photos. As a full family staying for nearly a week, the toilet paper, towels/washcloths, and paper towels lasted about 3 days and we had to wash items between meals to have enough eating utensils for example. The rental company did communicate instructions clearly and quickly. They also called the day we were to arrive to say they had something to fix on the fridge and may be there working when we got there (which is why I didn’t think anything of the fridge not working right at first.) We rent from Vrbo once or twice a year and are generally very happy, but felt this house wasn’t well represented in the photos provided.

Not bad, not great.

House was clean. Easy to find. Pictures are not really representative of the property. From the hot tub, you see several houses one one side, a neighbors junk pet to to other side. And the creek is actually a stagnant drainage ditch. TV's are from the 1990's at best. Furniture has burn holes and is very uncomfortable. Tub leakes all over floor. Remotes don't work for bedroom tv.

Cozy Cabin

We loved this property. It is cozy and off the beaten path and not in a cabin subdivision. Everything was clean when we arrived and someone called to see if there was anything we needed the day after we checked in. We really enjoyed playing pool and the wood burning fireplace. We would recommend it and would not hesitate to stay here again.
