Relax and refresh in this peaceful cottage. Close to beaches, hiking trails & the town of Trinidad. Newly remodeled, sparkling clean 3 bed 2 bath cottage tucked in the redwoods. Very private. Plenty of parking. Enjoy a day at the beach and come home to barbecue on the giant back deck. Beautiful views of the redwoods and a fenced park-like backyard. Bring your friends and family or just come alone to get away and rejuvenate. This cottage in the woods welcomes you.

Trinidad is a wonderful little town with fantastic shops and great restaurants. Patricks Point State Park is nearby to enjoy the redwoods. Hike the breathtaking Rim Trail overlooking the coast or walk down the steps to Agate Beach and hunt for shells and agates. Big Lagoon County Park is an eight-mile estuary on the coast. And just 22 miles north, find yourself in Prairie Creek Redwoods National Park, home to some of the largest trees in the world! Trinidad welcomes you!!!

This house is named cottage A. It is straight ahead on the driveway and labeled. There is a split in the driveway that heads to the left. That is for cottage B. Please stay around your personal cottage. There is plenty of very private space for you to enjoy!!!
Other things to note
Please be mindful that you are in the woods. There are forest creatures: foxes, bears and mountain lions. No need to fear them…..they are more afraid of you. In fact the chance of seeing one is extremely rare. Just please don’t leave food or garbage outside and make sure to clean your yummy dinner off of the grill.

Lovely place in a great location

We really enjoyed Jennifer’s house. It was wonderfully decorated, very clean, and had everything we needed. The location is great too - we explored both north and south of Trinidad. I would definitely choose to stay at this house again.

Redwood Visit

The property is so cute and decorated nicely. Beds were comfortable and we slept peacefully after long day of hikes. Kitchen had everything we needed. Great place to stay!

Perfect getaway!! Highly recommended

We had an incredible stay from the moment we arrived, everything was exactly as described (if not better). The property was spotless and well-maintained, with every amenity we needed for a comfortable stay. The location was perfect for us. Jen was fantastic, responsive and provided excellent local recommendations, making us feel welcomed and well-informed throughout our stay. Overall, this was one of the best vacation rentals we’ve experienced. We can’t wait to return and would recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing, worry-free escape.

From the communication with our host all the way down to the well stocked kitchen - everything seemed to have worked out wonderfully. Love the town, the Redwoods, the coast, and the sweet community!

Short get away

Great location, great property, great home. Clean, comfortable, welcoming and allowed dogs letting our 2 year old golden doodle join us for our first time! Hope we get a chance to visit again!

Wonderful Fall Stay in the Redwoods

Jen was an amazing host. The property is beautiful and the house is lovely. It’s perfectly located in Trinidad. Close to town, the beaches and a quick drive to Redwoods National Forrest. I would highly recommend.

Great Fun!

Secluded in the woods but only a mile from Trinidad and a couple miles from the ocean. We had two couples in 64-67 range and everyone enjoyed this property. A third couple would not have been too crowded. The property is close to the 101 so it is easy to travel north/south to hike the redwoods or climb the rock formations along the ocean. We enjoyed all the authentic restaurants in the Trinidad area.

Lovely getaway

We loved everything about our stay. The communication with the host was stellar, the accommodations were beautiful and the place was well stocked, it was pet and family friendly, and the location is perfect with the beach nearby and redwoods on-site. I, also, really appreciated how we didn't have to follow a large checklist of items to do when we arrived and departed (like most places). Overall, 5 stars and I highly recommend!

Awesome place to stay

My mom, my wife, and I stayed there for 4 days. The description of "nestled" in the redwoods is accurate. It is a beautiful place to stay. The beds were comfortable and the amenities were perfect. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook full meals and eat there. A grocery store is only minutes away. It is conveniently located to access the Redwoods state park to the north and Avenue of the Giants to the south. The dining room table was big, allowing meals and games. (The closet is stocked with games!) TV was available as was a comfy couch and chairs. We would definitely stay there again. It felt like home. Definitely 5 stars.

Absolutely Perfect

This place is private, well-stocked, decorated with attention to detail, and just has overall great vibes! The location is unbeatable. The host, Jennifer was communicative, easy to get a hold of and helpful when suggesting places to go and things to do while there. There was a full tank of propane left for the fire pit and lots of little extras that made our stay extremely enjoyable! I would recommend this property to all of my friends and family, hand down!

Cozy and perfect location

This cabin was nestled Into the redwoods like described. Very spacious inside and outside. Perfect for a group of friends or family. My two year old had a great time with all the games and toys left in the closet. Communication with Jennifer was above and beyond, and she was extremely generous with everything she had to offer and say. The power went out due to the storm and there was a back up generator which was amazing! The cabin gave off a very cozy feel and accommodations were probably the best I’ve ever had in a VRBO.

Beautiful redwoods getaway!

We are not used to the twists and turns of hilly roads and wish we'd had a smaller vehicle than the huge one we had, but the place was worth it! We saw and heard birds from the beautiful deck that we'd never seen before! The house was spacious and clean, and had everything we needed except ice trays and a pizza cutter. Jennifer was even incredibly helpful in helping me find options when I needed a place to do laundry. I was grateful when the grass was cut because it grows fast and was taller than my older tiny 11 pound dog so at 1st she didnt want to go outside, after that she loved the spacious fenced in yard. Thanks again for a wonderful stay!

Wonderful homebase in Humboldt

We spent close to a week here, as a homebase for family adventures in Humboldt County and we couldn't have asked for a better spot. The cabin is tucked away & surrounded by beautiful redwoods. Our dog appreciated the fenced in backyard for sniffing around & our 4yo loved observing the banana slugs in the front yard every morning. The kitchen & bathrooms were well stocked and clean. The master bedroom mattress was comfortable. My only feedback is that it'd be nice to have access to a vacuum (there were brooms / dustpan) so that we could keep the floors clean throughout the stay (we inevitably tracked in sand / dust and our dog tends to shed more after a swim)

A wonderful getaway!

I'll tell ya, I don't usually like renting houses over hotels, but we had such a good experience that this place has singlehandedly changed my perspective. The house had every amenity needed (a full kitchen! kids toys! two well-outfitted bathrooms!) but even more had the most wonderful host I have ever encountered. Not only was she kind, welcoming and extremely responsive, but when I inquired about if she had a pack and play for my friend's son to use, she said she didn't...but went out and bought one! We are so grateful for such a warm stay, and recommend it wholeheartedly!

Anniversary Celebrations

We rented this lovely home to celebrate my parents 63rd wedding anniversary, and my husband’s and my upcoming anniversary, to revisit the North coast where we had our respective honeymoons! The host was fantastic with quick and helpful responses and we connected with some mutual experiences living in Humboldt County! The home is spotless and quiet, and the yard nestled in redwoods. It is quiet and charming, and has an emergency generator for power outages! It is beautifully finished inside. We are most grateful for a lovely stay in beautiful Redwood Country, and thank our host for the warm welcome!
